Thanks for the help so far, I think I managed to solve the problem myself.

The same path as it used to be, C:\Programme\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\release\client.exe I could install ts, I do have skype if that helps.

That was my first idea as well but according to the task manager the client is not running. Also rebooting and switching off the firewall didn´t help. HI there, until the server went down some 30 mins ago or so I played without problems but now the client won´t start, the net7 launcher does. This is the error message in the launcher window: Appears to be an initialisation problem starting E&B Terminate E&B and restart Launcher 19/03/10 MVAS thread running I checked my firewall settings and have played for days without a problem. The connection went down before I could logout a newly created second character, no idea if that plays a role. I am logged in at the net7 site, this problem is a first.
