  1. I understand all class could solo, but there's no challenge at end game if they can continue to do so...

Now this makes more sense. A jd can solo 1 "bmx" all he wants, but if there was a "bmx a and bmx b" thrown in the situation. Then progen C would have to shield jd from "bmx a and b" because jd can't solo while holding multi argo. So jd calls for progen C to help and thus they start a group and without grouping there is no raids, without raids, content maybe pushed towards soloing issues more then grouping. This is the only problem I see. ;)

How often does 2 mobs group up together and challenge that jd to not solo? Other then in the FB or near boss spawns. Back in Live, a PW couldn't touch a tengu in cooper at any nav without 2-3 of them on his tail, regardless of the supply spawn to player masses ratio. I recall not being able to solo anything passed cl 50 without needing a group or guild to help me back in live.

Sry if I'm emphasizing too much on grouping, but hearing things like soloing, needs to be discussed.

Then visit now cooper and try to kill 1 Ten-Gu....most of the time you will have a problem i think. Not that you can't kill, just you have not only one at you. ;)

A PW was in live be able to solo in cooper, they did it not because they would not get many kills since there were mostly groups and also JDs soloing. ;)

  2. I know my argument with JD being allowed a maximum of 4 gun slots well never die off in a debate, but I'm still offering that solution.

The way any other speedy class is balanced. If a JD in general can cloak&fire while having a bonus added to the beams doubling it's amount of dmg on all beams. By which depending on uniqueness of the beams, it's self could give ridiculous amount of dmg alone. Then by reducing a jd's weapon slot by 1 weapon, can the speed of the class + double dmg bonus not make up for a 5th slot? I argue that jd's had 4 beams not 5 back in live, but it would only make sense, sense their class specialty is speed and defense not to mention infinite energy. ;)

The only way I'm dropping the idea is if someone has a pic from back in live with 5 weapon slots on a JD.

If you have a pic of a JD from back in live that shows 5 weapon slots then plz show us or me the pic.

Jenquai; 3-4, Terrans; 4-5 and Progens; 5-6 weapon slots. Does that balance structure not make sense? I know this is the emulator not live, but I bring this up because it seems the real topic is "Over Powered Jenquai". ;)

No, it was 5, and if you don't believe it you forgot the 3rd profession.

Jenquai 3-4-5, Terran 3-4-5, Progen on top of all racees 4-5-6.

ranking is Explorer, Trader, Warrior for all races.

  3. In live it was really all about tactics as a Jenquai especially for a JE.

With projectiles you could kill even lvl 60s or higher, just it took a long time compared to warriors. ;)

But with beams was kiting also possible, i had a range of 4.6k and could kite all mobs which were not using MLs.

I have to say though, that i had the best gear i could have for a JE. ;)

With my beam setup i also killed lvl 58 Voltois in Antares. Just not without kiting. ;) They hit too hard. ;)

  4. The DPS without buffs and skill damage is just like that:

    Bile Cannon for Example:

    181 damage (235 damage at 200%)

2.1 sec reload (1.3 sec reload at 200%)

    = 181 / 2.1 = 86.19 Damage per second at 100%

    = 235 / 1.3 = 180.76 Damage per second at 200%

If you shoot at mobs you never get the real DPS without anything added, because of resists and skill damage.

If you want to know the added buffs like enhance and turbo you need the calculation the server does,

because again, the skill damage and resists you will see at the screen.

  5. Hi,

is there a reason why the most mobs are so incredible fast, so that kiting(hold on own

weapon range and outside of mob range) is impossible?

I don't know how progens or terrans(ok, they can fly forward firing missiles) do,

but i as a JE i loved it to be able to go on mobs much higher than i with help of

    projectiles.

And later on with best beams and equipement able to kite even with beams.

I were often mining in BBW and these fields had as guards mostly manes, up to lvl 58,

that was fun to kill them as a JE. Good explore XP and combat XP on top.

Now it seems these times are gone.... i have a backward speed of ~300 but they are faster.

Means no use of projectiles. Means also always if fighting -> combat cloak.

    No other choice.

Mobs have more hull, more shield, more damage and now are always faster.

Merlin did a good job with the prototypes, in spezial the beams with more range than all other beams. But, if mobs are faster than you there is no use of these beams(or just a little).

I know for terrans and progens the mobs are easy to kill with kiting, but that was the game(maybe give projectile and missile mobs also this range for challenge).

They had some challenge in live, some mobs were a bit faster and some had also

a great range. (example Mobs in Ardus, the mobs in Der Todesengel or the lvl 66 MP's in Luna i think it was.

A great bit of fun is gone without that kiting.

  6. I have activated this account for you.

I'm guessing this is a second account, as i found a 'Blondine' user with the same forum username/e-mail combination.

    Both are now active.

    Thanks

Many thanks for the fast support. ;)

Both are now active in Game, the Blondin was just because there were problems with activate mails not receiving. The account Blondine was the right one. ;)

I changed now the email address for this account(Blondine) and all is fine.

Blondin i can't login here in forum...user not known, but no problem i don't need this account really.

I can login in game with both.

    thx

    Blondin

  7. hmm, to much complicated, to many ranges.

red is red no matter what points you have between -2000 and -11000

yellow was between -1999 and +1999 that was a good range. Not killing 20 mobs and back to red

green is green no matter what points between +2000 and +11000

There are no other color stages, so why confusing with more stages in between the same color? :)
