I would gladly have all of the added buffs on the L9 devices removed if it also meant the added debuffs were removed also.

IMHO, I think it would greatly benefit the game if debuffs were removed from most (all?) items. As it stands, a lot of gear in the game is not used because it has debuffs. Instead of adding more equipment to the game, making existing gear more useful, would benefit the players and the builders who would be able to actually build more diverse items instead of the usual suspects.

Seconded.
2. If the toon has Negotiate, i do trade runs till TL 45 or 50, with some explore jobs mixed in along the way just to change it up a lil bit. Once TL/EL are maxed out, finish up with combat jobs till 150.

If the toon doesn't have negotiate.. explore jobs till EL/TL 50, then combat jobs.
3. If there's good ideas for planet based content, it'd be fun to have more landable planets. But never on the big name rocks, imho. Earth, Mars, Shakti, etc. Those ones should never be landable, would take all the mystery and imagination out of them.

Don't blame him, Nishido cant manufacture anything worthwhile. Blacksun, Tada-O, Infiniticorp, Mordana and Organics will provide better than any Shields Nishido can offer you. I dont even know how Nishido stays in business with the worthless junk they sell, the JT probably shouldnt have Build Weapons either. If you want some good beams you buy Blacksun, GETco, Mordana or Organic, not Nishido.

Jenquai would get better results asking GETco to extend the Lion and Mastiff line of Beams up to L9, than they would trying to get Nishido to design a single plasma beam. The DP/GE may say Nishido, but we all know the Mordana really designed them, at best all Nishido did was lend them the facilites to manufacture them.

Maybe we should see what kind of shield and weapons Sundari could design...
It really is quite shameful that the jenquai can't even design a halfway useful beam, considering it's the racial weapon. I know it's been talked about to death at least a few times on these boards throughout the various Stress Tests, but the fact remains, until EITHER the jenquai manufacturers put out some plasma beams at each level, OR there's some fundamental changes that make EMP or Energy beams at all comparable to plasma, there is no useful jenquai beam weapon before the defender's pride.

Jenquai engines serve their purpose well enough: sig reduction for combat. Jenquai devices are very nice, not gonna complain about those. Shields.. well, each race has to suck at something. Though the fact that jenq shields have barely 50% of the capacity of progen shields is a bit much, but whatever. But the beams? Come on.

Terrans incorporated plasma damage into their missiles as early as level 1, with the Fine ML Class Z1.
Progen incorporated plasma into their projectiles at level 5, with the Rifle and Longbow guns.
Jenquai still can't figure out how to do it below level 9?

In a universe where plasma is often the only sensible damage selection, this is flat out stupid.

Lol "Kiting" is manually done, however I seem to remember in live if you set follow at say 2k it would stay at 2k, anyway kiting requires you to do manually and not hard to do.
I also remember auto-follow being more of a "maintain current distance". Though i do also recall it having a max distance it could be activated from (which i remember as being around 2-3k).
6. Probably the easiest way to decide is choose what combat style you like better.

PS: some reverse-thrust kiting, but mostly PW-style stand and destroy. Has the shields to do this (max L9).
TS: Use your crazy speeds to kite pretty much anything. Not much stationary fighting above your CL due to low shields (max L8).

Other considerations:

PS: max cargo 30, shield tech 9, grav link + menace, critical strike 5, power down for hiding, no navigate
TS: max cargo 35, engine tech 9, navigate 7, negotiate 5, has no hide skill (other than the ability to GTFO real fast)

There's already a way to do that. (Not that I know the command off the top of my head, mind you.)
it's an option checkbox in the group find/leave window.

IMO also should be a command to Lock the Loot for a Group, especially in a raid situation when you have to allow someone else in your group to loot a unique item that they need and you dont.
Prevents people from coming in and stealing the loot when you un-target the corpse.
A command to turn on/off a group loot delay of say 60 seconds would be nice. That way you could have the regular loot scheme going, and when you untarget the corpse, looting opens up ONLY for group members for the following 60 seconds. After those 60 seconds, loot opens up to anyone.
8. Currently, I cannot login to the game because when I start up the client, the "Connecting to server..." dialog box hangs there perpetually. If I type my password in anyways, it gives me the "EA.com is temporarily unavailable.." dialog.

I was logging in just fine at around midnight last night, so whatever changed was in the last twelvish hours.

Indeed, which is why it needs to be avoided. It's not without a reason that almost all MMO's since have round robin looting.
The loot system used here IS a round robin system. Everyone takes turn looting corpses.
10. or, what i think is the most fair option, is don't turn off looting restrictions. That way you each take turns getting loot. If the corpse is credited to you, the item is yours. End of discussion. If you want to be slightly better than a jackass, you share stuff you don't need/want with the group.

I don't see a need to complicate it any more than this.

And remember the more prints help your build quality ranges too, so just printing most used is ok but it helps to have all the other fluff for other purposes.
I have a couple questions about this..

1. Is it total prints of all types that affect it? or do only prints in the same general category (devices, weaps, etc) count towards raising your quality? For example, is pulling a magoo and printing every vendor component going to increase my TT's quality ranges for shields devices and weapons?

2. How significant is the benefit? Is it really noticeable, or is it just 1 or 2% for an extra hundred prints?

Raw Eye Stone L7
Horusium Ore L7
Stygian Blackwater L6
Discordite L6
Apollonite L7

And that is just a sample, I dont think the market is bad for ores, I think the miners that want to sell ore just are not selling the right type of ores that are actually in demand.
I'm pretty sure that most people that mine these ores, do so because either they need them, or a guildmate/friend needs them. The dozen or so other ore types you collect while mining those, however, no one wants to pay for, hence, so they pile up or get vendored. A market where a select few resources are in demand, and every other resource is mostly ignored, is a prime example of a bad market.

I've said it before, and i'll keep saying it. the biggest problem with mining in EnB is there are too many ore types. The game would be greatly improved, imho, if the number of different ores was reduced by 1/3 to 1/2 at each level.
13. Having thought about it further, keeping in mind the fact that too many credits exist in game, I now dislike the critical build thing I posted.

Knix has a point, too.. limited variation in ore quality. I'm thinking, for simplicity, two different qualities for raw ores: if it was mined by a player 125%, else 100%. For refined ores: if refined from player mined ores 150%, if player-refined from non-mined ores (ripped from comps etc) 125%, else 100%. For the ores that have multiple refinement steps, each time it is player-refined adds 25%, so even if you start with iron ore not mined by a player, you'd still end up with 150% steel. Couple this with removing the auto-200% from component building to increase the ore market demand.

I'm sure this would also provide a little bit more of a money sink, since if you failed to get 200% on the component, ripping it to try again would provide you with all 100% ores.
14. Not to be a nay-sayer.. but what would this add to the game? What benefit would there be to having 200% ores instead of 100%? Component building automatically produces 200% components, so upscale ores can't have any effect on component quality. (and you can't remove the auto 200% from component building without upsetting every trader)

Maybe the higher quality ores could add a % chance to have a critical build on components, and a critical build would create more than one component from the same amount of ores.

15. Being able to arrange them completely custom on x/y/z would be awesome, but I don't think it needs to be that complex. Personally I'd be happy with the NPC option tienbau posted, as long as it lets me move the primary TT weapon slot off the dern nose of the ship. lol
16. Something tells me the weapon mounts are built into the ship models themselves. I agree that it would be awesome if we could manually position them ourselves (I also dislike the TT weapon positions), but I suspect it's not something that can be customized in game.

Having said that.. Prove me wrong, please! :(
