  1. The only hulks that something will come out of are hulks that the content DEV in that zone physically added those items. This is no longer being done.

    Hulks couldn't be looted unless you had the prospect level for mining that level of hulk.

  2. Heads up.

    I've asked the Item Developers to modify the Crimson Force Barrier to have a skill to favour the Privateer.

    It already has one for the Warrior and one for the Sentinel. The Privateer being a new class deserves a skill also (The Shield Regeneration Skill has been suggested).

  3. Personally, I dislike macros, it almost seems to be 'cheating' but then again people play the game their way.

    If my areas of content discourage macroing then I feel I've done justice!

    I suppose theres always the possibility of spawning a CL 66 mane near miners, see who flees, who powerdowns, who cloaks and who just mines on oblivious to the very hungry mob coming towards them..,

    And i'll just reiterrate:

    The only reason why interesting things appear in some hulks was at a time the developers in that sector could add the item to the hulk. Unfortunately the items also appear in the roids too...

    A nice randomisation list (also include pop-roid/hulk and it be interesting)

  5. Then, quite simply, said dev should not be writing quests for newbie areas and should stick to higher level content, like a nice long level 30 optional hull upgrade quest. But not the stuff that is intended to be done from 0-10 inside that starting zone

    however, the Missing Transport is not one of my missions, but what you have got to understand is the game is not fully complete. It is evolving.

  6. mentioning how the DEV in charge of the PP quests loves it when people complain about how hard they are. It makes him feel like he did his job.

    Just a clarification.

    There are several Progen developers, and although I may have some input into flavour missions for the Privateers, the Privateer was originally started by another developer who returned to the Project and may not be the developer quoted to "love it when people complain how hard they are". The skills and hull upgrade missions up to level 10 are his, and once the game supports what he intended then they should be excellent. Remember it is pre-alpha; not everything is as intended.

    I on the otherhand as from my signature, feel that missions should be some kind of challenge and also not compulsary - this is why you still can avoid the mission and pay for your level 50+ hull upgrade. it is also why you obtain the skill for the build components, reactors, shields with out needing to complete the mission (should you want to); but by doing so you will forfit the right to any bonus mission requiring you to have completed this mission, and any rewards at the end of the mission.

    Not all players will want to do endless missions, and this is why they are optional.

    An example is:

    Mission Example: Trade Embargo

    Player: "Why doesn't it tell me where to kill mako fighters?"

    My mind: "Because sometimes you have to do missions from your knowledge of the game, or from the knowledge of your contacts in the game..."

    Just be warned, just because you can collect a flavour mission at your current level does not neccesarily mean you can complete it at that level. Oh, and to avoid tears after bedtime, never go and speak to a mission person with a full cargo hold (although this should have been fixed now) and never sell the mission equipment, unless it is your intention not to do that mission!

    The missile suggestion is for those who may not be advancing many build paths (if this is true then you may consider one of the two alternatives); in conjunction with a main Projectile Skill.

    Bricole line of missile launcher x1 and a higher line all give projectile energy conservation, considering how energy dependent the projectiles can be this may be ideal for Privateers. It also allows for a 'ranged lure attack'.

    1 x Missile, 1 to 4 x Projectiles - a possibility to consider.

    Reactors.

    When live and when Jenquai were the only reactor builders the Progen were fairly limited to player made reactors. That shoudn't be an issue anymore; with reactors being used with Progen skills on them!

    3. the only class to build Progen only reactors - these were missing from live @ player made and inferior reactors

    that could be built by jequai were made! Privateers are here to supply the Progen.

    This class primarily is a build class, but is also quite handy in battle.

  9. The level 50 hull upgrade mission for the Progen Sentinel requires you to fetch a stack of Phosphorus. The mission directs you to go to Endriago to mine/refine some or purchase from a explorer.

    This is correct, but a word of caution I must give before people start to implement guides as to 'how to do Byakhee's missions'. I am waiting for scripting to be in the missions and then a number of those with a version number are likely to change.

    Already, this vender has mentioned to me that He's got enough phosphorous but may be interested in another mineral. I may have to visit him after Christmas to see what he may want next. Missions that change slightly also change on version number.

    Being primarily a Privateer, the mission allowed both Sentinels and Privateers an easier way to obtain the requirement. Warriors, sorry on this occaision but there are plenty of other missions that suit you. The scripting rewrite is intended to support the players' gameplaying rather than linear paths.

    Then again, what one dreams and what spawns in reality is different. Ia Ia Cthuhlu fht'agn!
