  1. Tokens:

    - Says on tokens speak to the Nota NPC for further info

    - Nota NPC does specify restrictions

    Tokens are not just for Agrippa and there is a back door.

    For you, if you are Hull Level 50 - Hull Level 100 ( OL 84 ) you should have no issues unlocking Agrippa Stage I

    = You need the correct build skill

    For those with the final Hull Level you need the back door if you did not do it earlier.  Its a lot easier to do it earlier.

  2. A certain progen who may decide to go to a less known part of space :angry: has heard rumours of what she wants.  Of course, should weapon development increase or harder and more exotic PW gear become available, she may decide to invest in that instead!!  At the moment, her interest lies with certain rumours she has heard, if the sector is not currently available then sorry!  She is not interested in stuff for Terrans or Jenquai.

    ** I forsee a sector crash in the rush that DT is opened! **

    "Statistics   x number of players, 95% of progen in DT"

  3. You will not be locked out if you have started all the Agrippa content you wanted to do.

    The mission checks when obtaining Agrippa, just do not forfeit any Agrippa you have started with Tokens - and you should still be able to complete them

    - of course this does mean if you decide to hold onto unlocked Agrippa missions and then advance beyond, you do so at your own risk in case of system crashes or accidentally forfeiting a mission!

    Bonus missions are not level dependent

    Stage II is not level dependent (other than a max build level and able to equip stuff made)

    Stage III is not level dependent (only need to have done Stage I and II )

  4. Yeh.

    Think it may have been that Endriago had a revamp of that area some time ago and these mobs may have been lowered.  <Not Guilty!>

    There was a reason for them being there after all!!

    Of additional note, if you find another spot elsewhere in the galaxy with them in, the mission should update for them there too.

  5. It is planned to be applied as the default talk tree for all 5.

    The default is the one that is the "hello do you want to buy something" displayed on all traders if anyone goes and visit.

    This will tend to check:

    0.  If you are an enemy of the Progen Republic

    1.  Correct level of Build Skill to do the missions

    2.  If you have completed a research line

    2a.  If you have not completed a research line, where in that research line you have got to

    2b.  If you were required to interact with another player or another NPC, who is expecting you.

    -------------------------------

    Mission ones will remain the same.

    The reason they are click-click-click-click-click-click in parts is that each click is a logical check against something dynamic and has a chance of going LEFT / RIGHT down a logic tree.  So behind your response on the click is some code that is looking at your character and deciding which talk route to go.  This is why in the code

    1: Welcome to hard missions

    <What do I do:  =  talk stage 2 as I like you>

    <What do I do:  =  talk stage 3 as I don't like you>

    <Goodbye = exit chat>

    2: Well, I can explain this to you

    or

    3: Go away, I don't like you!

    You should only get to see one instance of "What do I do" there so the options you see are

    What do I do

    Goodbye

    but from the talk tree paths that intertwine this gets a lot more dynamic when you have 2^7 possibilities, although some of them return to centre when you go down a route that has both like and hate cancelling out each other.  This is why the first talk tree part, the sorting of the relative like/hate is always at least 7-8 talk clicks

    Dynamic.

  6. Well due to the complex mission line it was intended that the NPC would be able to dynamically view your character and check what you had achieved and then give a correct response that is most relative to what you need to do.  There is a lot of logic involved here by supplying arguments to code modules created for the purpose, and not all of it works the same way.

    For example on the screen shot you viewed, you should never have seen one Stage I, as you have completed Stage I.

    I've done a tweak for the next update based on your screen, but the talk tree may be amended.

    Architecti Telum's talk tree is a more modern version.

  7. [Feels like muttering like Mutley in the 'Catch the pigeon cartoons']

    Not sure about changing the forumlae, it would have to be a level 5 from manufacturer starting with A. B or C  (ie mob dropped content only), and be able to be created.

    Is it just that at this stage of the universe the Eruption II is not as widespread than it will be?

    Bumping this on, but te component chosen will be mob-dropped non-vendor only.

  8. The mission items requirement remain the same and have for some time.

    What is being slowly altered is the talk tree you see each time you get a mission that is intended enquire "where is your ?", or "Did you visit xx" or "Have you not found a Centuriata to test your gear", or "You need to be able to equip your Projectiles that you make".

    These will only be displayed if you are at this mission stage and may have not done the thing that is now required.

    Most of the mission requirements now have been included in the talk tree [True / False], and if false - give a response and cancel the mission so you can do it again once you have what is required.  It is not simple to do or edit, and talk tree responses are limited in amount so the major requirements will be catered for.  This should mean that the NPC talk trees can then be trimmed.

    The actual mission that you do past the initial talk tree remains unchanged.

    -----

    I know there is a default setting for help in missions out there that holds your hand and prompts you "I now need xx".  This is not implemented in Agrippa as it is intended that the NPC may not know what is needed as it is your research, you are finding the items and bringing them back to research on.

  9. Stage II:  Starting Faction:  +2k  Collegia for the examination.  Each level this will go up, but requirements may be modified (+/- up to 60%)  depending on other factions you may have that are either:

    1.  not the current major enemy of the Progen Republic

    2.  in favour or not with Agrippa Technology

    3.  in favour or not with the individual NPC aim

    So even if you are against everything the NPC likes, they still will give you the chance to do the mission (if all the other requirements check out), you may need an extra +60% faction on the base Collegia faction value.  Conversely, Progen may be able to get past with a 40% reduction on the base Collegia faction requirement.

    Lets take an arbitary value of  5000 base Collegia Faction required

    -  This would give a range of requirement for you of Collegia Faction between:   3000 - 8000 Collegia Faction depending on the interractions of your other 5 factions it looks at.

    -  Those really disliked may have to show an item to the NPC as well.  This item will be able to be looted in the universe.

    Given that Stage III has a set faction of 8000 Collegia, base Stage II is less than 8000 (but modified may be more if you are allied with enemies).

  10. Cylore.

    Yeh that wording has been changed for the next patch

    At overall level 50 make sure you have room for 3 x silver colored Basic Progen Optional Mission Tokens.  Read them.  They unlock bonus content.

    ======

    For your level 50 Hull Upgrade Mission go to ...

    ======

    At overall level 75 make sure you have room for 2 x silver colored Basic Progen Optional Mission Tokens.  Read them.  They unlock bonus content.

    ======

    For your level 75 Hull Upgrade Mission go to ...

    ======

    You still get the Tokens before your next hull upgrade (gives you some time to plan), but now each stage will be better labeled.

  11. Nope.

    The mission talk tree is dynamic.

    Simply put you have some faction that Scuti likes and some faction that Vasi dislikes.

    Each Architecti has 2 liked factions and 2 disliked factions, 1 Agrippa based and 1 Personal like.

    Now, the Agrippa Based you probably have, but the personal ones are different for each NPC.  Kind of makes it more interesting eh?

    Enemy at war faction not shown to make it easier!

    Agrippa like  A

    Agrippa dislike  B  (Current enemy of the Progen Republic)

    Personal like C

    Personal dislike D

    So if you have A + C and none of B, D  then your entry for that level is really low.

    Contrary if you only have B + D then your entry will require more...

    Happily A + B or A + D or B + C will cancel each other out!

    -------------

    Programmers think of binary trees:

    Talk stage 1:   Is Faction A higher or Lower

    (Split tree here, two responses same and text same but both now check Facton B; which again splits to Faction C) etc... and in the end gets tied unto a range of

    A/-/C/-  = best

    A/-/-/- = A/B/C/-

    A/B/-/- = A/-/-/D = -/B/C/- = -/-/C/D = -/-/-/-

    -/-/-/D = -/B/C/D

    -/B/-/D = worse

    Which basically gives a range of ++ to -- depending on the number of factions that are being checked. I think I stopped at 5 and it is always the same five for the NPC

  12. The examination item is set to be a level 9 item, so the Architecti can find the "best out there".  If it was any less item then they'd only be finding the "mediocre players out there".

    However it may be possible for Stage 1 completions to directly bypass the examination stage (of that line), but only for Stage 1 players.  Everyone else who wanted into Stage II would have to do the examination.  This would mean of course that those going through Stage 1 would never have the Stage II examination mapped or the rewards for this.  Due to technical tree lines, this would be only offered to Devices, Reactors, Shields and Projectile Launchers (Weapons) from Stage 1.

    The setting for Stage 1 researchers ---> Stage II would have to be Build x at level 6 for the first line and then go to Build x at 7 immediately.

  13. Ok.

    The next plan I have is to revamp the mission talk trees for the bonus content starting from the ground up.

    Can I ask if this structure would be generally ok here (abbreviated)

    =============

    First Mission Stage

    First Talk (Abstract)

    • "thank you for doing the token mission / earlier mission name that required (Skill)

    • "on completing this task, you will have designed a blueprint [type of blueprint specified] which will automatically be added to the build terminal

    • " and [NPC name / I ] will be expecting you to continue this research line

    Replies

    > Check that all pre requirement missions / items have been completed, if not told who to go to, what skill to raise or what to try and find

    > Continue (if all checks complete)

    Second Talk

    • I would like you to...

    Replies

    > Hold on, I know what to do ---> Go to next stage of mission without reading all the mission text for the nth time!

    > Sorry, do continue

    Third Talk

    - Verbose text explaining what to do

    - Ends with you continuing.

    ==============

    End Mission Stage

    First Talk

    • Recap of what you did

    • What you will be rewarded

    • Who you are expected to go to next

    --------------------------

    I think this should solve a lot of issues with "where the hell do I go next"

    Stage 1 will be the first one to be tweaked in text.

  14. I found what was going wrong,

    I accepted stage 1 shields at level 80 or so and started the rest also. But Scuti's mission only progresses at a certain point after you get the lvl100 hull upgrade. The rest of the time Scuti just tells you that you need shield build level 7 and  Telum just keeps telling me to go to Scuti, not knowing that i am already doing that and that i already have the device and the shield print.

    I got my HU100 and after i completed Scuti's complete stage 1, i got the stage 2 invite card,  there apeared a 'Hidden' mission at Telum that give's me the beam print. Took some trial and error but i got there. Sometimes you need the device in your hold to get the right talk tree.

    regards

    Yes.

    That mission slipped past error checking, it got fixed in the hull patch that was just released to remove the requirement of "overall 100".

    Not a problem in the next patch.

    Also researching audio files so stuff like "Amplector Shield Omega Blueprint Recieved" is in audio so you know when you may have received a blueprint, and that gives you a head-up.

    Not in this content- some tender care will be given to the Architecti for default talk tree and the Agrippa Missions to rework some of the clunky text.  But thats future and as missions can be done and completed.
