Hi, I am currently frustrated at being unable to get onto the game. I played enb for quite a while and left a few months before the  game closed down. I was looking forward to taking a look to see how close you guys have gotten things to how it was back then but no joy. Ive installed the latest wine and the dotnetfx20 patch for wine and during installation i get :       Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.   I can also tell you it says :   err:msi:ACTION_InstallFiles compressed file wasn't installed (L"C:\\Program Files\\EA GAMES\\Earth & Beyond\\release\\mp3dec.asi")    This is what happens when it fails. It almost seems like it doesnt have perms to write the file to the drive.  Not sure how to proceed. I am currently running ubuntu 12 with wine 1.5.x  I am guessing this is something to do with how old this game is as i also recently reinstalled eve online with no problems(and thats a much bigger more complex game).  I hope someone can help with my earth and beyond fix as i'd really like to get back into the game!       Regards   Cronotan

hi, i'm trying to install this on linux (ubuntu) and i've gotten as far as half way through installing eandb_demo.exe and it crashes with the message   Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation.   I have tried a few things in this thread(like installing dotnetfx.exe) and still no joy.
