  1. Just a slight note, Nav Point Scrapyard takes a bit of exploring to find. Should pop up if you explore the shipyards. The Lost Krakens are a real toughie. They fire missiles that will blow through you in about 4 hits. They're small, so you will want to approach slowly and make sure you spot them at distance. Will take roughly 3 missiles to put down and you're guaranteed to take a hit as the things can outrun you on impulse. If you can snag one alone, it's not so bad. If more than one is on you, best to pull out and reapproach.   Update:   One last thing.  With the repeatable quests.  If you need a good 1-2 level boost, then make sure you grab about 20 or so smallpox vaccines when you are at Earthfed HQ.  You can complete the trade mission successively.  While this might sound a bit exploitive, it becomes impractical quickly between limited hull space and the scaling xp cap for levels, so it doesn't help beyond the short term.   As for weapons...I'd highly suggest snagging a pair of missile launchers the moment they are available.  Whether to invest more points into them is dependent upon your build, but for purposes of this tutorial, they are ideal.   Most importantly, the next series of missions start with Sergeant Trias at Luna Station.  Speak with her after the upgrade.
  2. I was wondering whether a topic like this was present.   I've recently jumped into the game, trying to relive the old fun I had on my Jenquai Explorer.  There is an...Issue with the beginning area and the Dionysian Spore Nodules that seem to be stacked on the nav beacon.   Perhaps it's just me, but this third leg of the tutorial missions seems...Particularly unforgiving.  Those spores are significantly more hazardous than anything else in the area - to the point that the mission around the area is on a soft timer to disengage the second one of them looks at you.  Given the archaic navigation to boot, this makes for a very frustrating opening experience.   Edit:   Just an amendment.  I'm cognizant of the explorer's limitations and shortcomings in combat, in general for this class. It's supposed to be rough, I know.  The focus is on the pacing.  This is a bit of a brick wall to hit for a tutorial mission that places no particular emphasis on this hazard, given the objectives.
