This is my initial install, so it's happening on the original updating immediately after a fresh install.  So, Reset updates and check for updates weren't options.  I did uninstall net-7 and reinstall from scratch again however, and removed net7proxy.exe before the initial execution of the app, and received the same error on launchnet7.exe.tmp.

unfortunately, there is not.  I tried creating one and tried several different formats of the 1.9.9 that shows up in the Net-7 app before the patch attempt.

i feel your pain, i'm having the same issue with my win7/64 bit box....i might have to get my xp box out of mothballs...

I'm trying to install on a 64 bit Win7 box.  The install runs fine.  I make it through all of the directions on the FAQ until i get to run net-7 and update.  The update gets the same hash error, on the .exe.tmp file (one of the first in the update).  Upon reviewing the threads for hash errors, I see this is a regular and recurring issue.  Was there a recent update that perhaps tweaked things again, or is this something that's not planning on being fixed.  I might be able to get an old XP box out of mothballs if I need to.  If it is going to be fixed again, I'll wait patiently, if not I'll look into my options.   For giggles, I tried executing the actual game client, and that works fine.  Obviously doesn't do much after failing to hit the login server, but got the intro movie.
