  1. This was brought up in the beam range thread in the suggestion forum. I too know for sure that beam damage dropped for me when it wasn't supposed to, but Zackman tested it twice on a pre patch and post patch server and it showed as the same to him so I'm not really sure whats happening.

    What might be happening is client not showing you correct range. You might be far according to server while you are seen at top of mob on your screen. That's why beam range thing is a bit odd. 

     

    May be instead of damage reducal, they should just reduce absolutely ridicilous ranges for a beam on items. By redicilous = 6K+ range on a beam weapon. Beam range should never exceed Projectile range, never ever ever Missile ranges... Missiles going for 8K+ with range modifier items and there are beams out there with 8.5K range without any range modifier... Not to mention, missiles are slow, taking huge cargo space and pricey... what beams offer?

    While Net-7 is a great portal, there are few suggestions for it. I'll categorise it as Database, Avatar, Account, Portal in general.

    It would be lovely if we can actually contribute to database as players, different from given info. "Players" to add notes to items (such as drop locations or any other info in a thread fashion followed by senders forum ID. It would be just player info, nobody asking development team to reveal any info but players to share. (I think Shaddex suggested this himself on a thread as far as I remember)

    Option for solid links to items etc. For instance, having direct link URL to item (to post somewhere else), direct links to one toon's builds... Single page Ajax fills memory and easily lost with just pressing back button (your entire search, etc.) , in other words, ability to open in new tab/window. Did I say "Open in new window" menu for almost every item, builders, cookbook etc.? :) That'd be really easy for people started to forget what to do next to keep in tabs open. 
     
    Compare items 
     
    Since all items in same category has same stat names, ability to compare two or more items side by side (adding same type of items from different searches within a compare basket), similiar to online sales sites.

    Fixes Needed:

    • When you click on toon names with IE10, despite all HTML5 support, something is wrong with javascript. Does not display anything (main screen disappears but no character screen comes). Same goes for IE9/IE8 - Fixed with next push.

    Ingame-mail "Read/Received" Notifications (Suggestion)
     
    If Items mailed between own characters, no need for "read / received" notification would be nice... 
     
     
    Sending different number of items from a stack (Vault transfer & Mail) (Suggestion)
     
    If you can transfer limited number of items from a stack of items on either mailing or vault transfer it would be really appriciated. May be pop-up window asking number with default value of total number and max number if it has more than 1 item in stack as we drag it to transfer banks.
     
     
    Stacking same items on transfer if there are same stat items (Suggestion)
     
    While transfering items from toons to toons, it would be lovely if there are same stat stackable items to stack together rather than taking another slot in vault (like components / ammo built by same person) following stacking rules and numbers.

    From intergalactic terminals currently we only see notification for open with another browser thing. Yes, it works in IE6 mode for XP, IE7 mode for rest, but it would work fine with not-much javascript or ajax bloated site. No need to redesign entire site, but a subdomain with simple login, item search, vault transfer or mail might be possible with in.

    Full screen option on posted Youtube videos might be nice, especially posting in-game bugs as videos, removes requirements for going to youtube for seeing it clear... 
     
    Attachments in Bug Tracker.
    We can post attachments to boards and threads but not in Bug Tracker where you often need it most. Screenshots, Text results etc. Currently we can add attachment but not able to display them in bug tracker.

I agree with Matt.  I don't want the build to pick up the 200% comp if a vendor comp can yield the same result, or the other way around, I want it to use the 200% comp in order to get 200% product, but the term picks up the wrong comp, and yield inferior product.  My customers would not be pleased (What happened to my 200% I just traded to you for the build, you cheater!!!!)

    Which component will be taken to manufacture terminal is entirely depending on where in your inventory it currently is located... It just does not take it random or make 200% as priority.

     

    If  you have 100% & 200% components in your cargo and if 100% is coming on your first rows/columns, it will take first 100% rather than 200% on later rows/columns...

     

    This is ENTIRELY UP TO user... Put good stuff to front rows and you should be fine... 

     

    Taking stuff from vault would be also follow that pattern... Manufacture station would first check cargo if component exists -> takes first rows/column it exists -> If not check vault and take firsts find there ...

     

    I don't really know how hard is to place a better quality item in your cargo's first rows if you want it that bad...

  4. IMO, most elegant solution has been found and devs fixed it that way...

     

    Thank you devs, I can't think of no-other better option without crippling or nerfing group exploration xp...

     

    I never find touring as exploit with real live unique people, exploit that devs meant was touring your own 6 toons. They don't want to cripple exploration xp for real people, they just don't want 6 toon of same people exploiting the system "easily". And that's what they did. Now person who will do that has to switch his all 6 screens to press gate button, which slowed this down and made this option cumbersome and boring. Only a few really desperate person will do such thing unless they have pro multibox equipment because of all gates and 6 screen switches. 

     

    As always community really does not know what they really want... They might just get it and does not mean they are going to like it when they start their next toon...

  6. like how would you keep 200% comps seperated from 100% etc..

     

    They don't stack, takes whatever comes first (same as cargo)

     

    And I very much like that idea... Since vault & manufacturing terminals are only accesable from stations only in-game, that would be nice feature...

  7. a bogeril NPC, probably on one of the Alpha/Proxima Centauri stations or a space npc, floating the idea of "Leeroy Junkbins" as the name (lol), with item turn ins at the various levels of junk from hulks.  Probably five turn in's in all, with some kind of xp/faction reward.  But it will be very small faction-wise, so it wouldnt just be taking like 3 stacks of debris = max boggie faction, we cant do that.

     

    So basically the idea is you could just sell it right, or you could turn it in for a modest faction increase.  Given how easy debris and wreckage slag and the like are to get, the potential to be green boggie faction pretty quickly does exist for some dedicated players. 

     

    What do you guys think?  This is just where I am going with this, I havent even started but its an idea ive been sitting on for about two months.  (along with GC/N7 type stuff)

     

    May be we should really deal this with price of one stack of debris...

     

    It is 70k, 70k for very small faction might not be really fun for that... Well, at least can go for 70 faction for stack is appropiate, considering sponsor jobs are giving out like 40 to 100... TE start with -9000 bogeril faction with not much access to hulks in bulks, please take this into account :)

     

     

     


    As to the debris and junk turnins +1! , just have em 1 for 1 on the faction. 1x L1 debris = 1 faction, 1x L2 stuff =2 , 1x L6=6 etc. That won't overtip faction swings overnight, but would be a good way to plug away at faction, might I suggest that it isn't just faction however? Make it like the half digested suits, faction/xp/credits. That way noobs can still get some xp/credits out of the deal and not have to forgo credit reward to pip up faction.

     

    This would have the added benefit of shutting up the CHERRYPICKER! SINNER! whiners. If debris got left behind, they can stop whining and mine it themselves for a nifty Bogrial rep.

  8. I very much liked this idea in original post.

     

    1. It would get less boring to do same trade routes.

     

    2. Makes chain ring so that no empty cargo to travel (similiar to current planet Earth trading --in RL--)

     

    3. Even a few cargo, players can turn their travels into profit (either xp or money wise) on long distance travels (let's accept that, this game is 90% warp time) 

  9. Unfortunately due to the fact that modifying this functionality would be altering the client (the ore function was pre-existing before the emulator), it is not looking like we can make this change.  Sorry guys, it did sound like a very sensible idea.

    While chatting earlier with one of early beta testers while doing his ammo, he seems to remember this ability on early stages for some reason and removed not to make it "easy" (this might be early beta of WW btw, or very early stages of emu)

     

    He must be remembering it wrong then...

     

    However there might be a work around...

     

    In refine part, it calculates different possibilities with what ores you have... And shows you those...

     

    "May be just may be"....  if you have enough ores + component mapped, there can be different fake compenent (like single component) shown as like "Brimstone Flux x2  x 10" and takes 10x of materials, costing credits of x10 and giving xp of x10...  Or may be XP like x8  of other xp conversions (like you hit 50/50/40 and 0.8x combat xp & explore xp turns into trade xp)

     

    At least can craft it in 10's of stacks... In the end, number of "ammo components" is known and is entire different category...

Yeah instead of TE taking a skill from the JE, i modified the post to say later that the JS should take one from the JE.  I know JE's skills are all very useful and unique, but honestly at the points it has, its far too high for an explorer, but thats all up for debate and so on, id love to find a solution to this 60 point gap from the bottom to the top.

    While at it, 1 SP L135 skills overhaul can be nice :)

     

    Some quests seems not triggering stuff like JE one...

    Forums here easy to talk (and as general info, we are here often here as vocal minority), but half of server is multiboxing (I'm not saying half of server running 6 clients or doing such tricks) they just play one or two accounts at least at same time, and they enjoy this, take this away and you'll loose a lot of people...

  12. Each of those professions needs one 5 dot (10 points), and one 7 dot (21 point) skill. (the three EMU only classes)

     

    That would bump them each 31 points, bringing scout in line with the PS, and the Traders in line with the TT.

     

    The JE really needs to lose a skill to the Enforcer though (a 21 point skill, 7dot - always wondered why jennies had navigate, i bet that should be on the enforcer), to make it truly congruent (all explorers around 395, traders around 410, warriors around 420)

    I think it is already intended to give TE L5 navigate.

    TE is definitely slow as a Terran (except with Ursa 9 being bugged as 5k speed instead of 4250 or Terran Advantage is slow as 4250 than 5000)

     

    However Navigate is a crucial skill for JE especially about Gravity wells & shears and most high end nodes somewhat inside them as Enviromental Shield does not provide any bonuses unlike TS one... If anything extra on JE it is either Projectile or Shield Leech 

  13. Yep, my log is exactly at these hours.

    I start the log from 05am my time (which is 11pm server time) and have it running for 3 hours (8am my time, 02am server time).

     

    I was just pointing out that it is obv(!) not originating from the Net-7 servers or the server farm the machine is hosted at since the log would show lag for me as well then - so it must be related to certain lines/backbones going TO our server (which im not using on my route).

    Yes, it looks like connection rather than server itself.

     

    Somewhere in between it stucks, most likely after Germany nodes but which one :)

    I'm in Europe if you can say Europe as you can see <-- 

     

    However, I feel it at same time with US people feels as well...

     

    During this hours, not only lag (it is not constant, but like peeks all sudden and gone), but I think master server handoffs greatly increase during gating... That's how I noticed the hours above... What I feel like packet losses rather than ping times... After 7:00am Germany time, it all ends and goes back to normal... But during 6am and 7am basically best th

     

    Three nights ago, during this hour, me & a few others (what I got from chat) locked on analyze, it never responded back about analyze or fail (Lost a good Enforcer's Retort)

     

    Two nights ago, my character is so lagged that I ended up "out of map"

     

    Yes, I was literally out of Glenn map, closest nav was 250k (west of Sol gate I was), I could not warp anywhere, can talk, chat even. A few JD's tried to pull me from that hole. may be they read this and confirm anomaly...

     

     

    Best thing during this hours, is to stay in the zone rather than moving anywhere... If you are in a single zone, lag comes and goes momenteraily, but if you travel or gate a lot master handoffs increase...

     

    You might just like to check logins/logouts during these hours.

  15. Well, right after "fix" there are full groups of J'nai's same named prefix, running around Cooper...

     

    Does it stop self tours? Ofcourse no... 

     

    Multibox softwares are there for that reason. Click somewhere on screen, it clicks on same place on every client... in this case, gate button ;)

  17. Rather than adding new skill, Enrage might be activatable, disactivable skill to provide suggestions in the original post. Jenquai defenders may not even like to tank with L8 shields, so that's why I'm still point out to Enrage...
