Oh ok phew... Thanks. I was afraid at first that maybe I was going to have to reinstall the client and launcher again... I only get about 100kbps if I'm lucky so that's no fun So it's been like this all day?

I've followed all the directions on all these troubleshooting posts on here and I've made it all the way to the login screen but it still says "couldn't connect to global server"

Is it still down even now? Sorry, I just joined yesterday and I haven't played E&B since 2003 when they shut it down. I'm getting a "Cannot connect to the global server" message and I want to make sure it's the server and not a user error on my end.

After the intro video the game locks up for a few seconds then brings up the login screen with a message saying "Couldn't connect to the server, try again later." I've already installed the local.net-7.org.cert and I've tried with my firewall disabled. It really shouldn't be the Local IP selection because there's only one IP address listed under that. Also, when I try to run the proxy it says it couldn't connect to server. I've spent all of the last three days installing and reinstalling the game trying to get it to work and this is driving me nuts! Help?..... I attached an image with screenshots of both error messages
