Gets my vote. I'd love to see ave build quality for L7/8/9 items. Number of prints per char. We might be able to see some useful metrics from that.

We should copy the Land of The Free, and implement a system where you have to have a Voter-ID card, not accept Student-ID or Drivers Licenses as proof of ID, and you cannot vote early on workdays, or on Sundays, and you have to wait in line for 4 hours to scrawl an X. Oooo? Is this too political?

Another myth - cherry picking does not destroy the field-clear bonus - as I said earlier I make a lot of XP just cleaning up debris. -

I generally do clear the fields, although I still have the view cherry-picking is no more a sin than sniping a MOB boss without dealing with the minions. I usually get 250k xp bonuses a day from clearing my favorite spots in my daily 2hr round. Its quite beneficial scooping all those remnants of debris to get the field-clear bonus and I'm surprised anyone leaves hulks half empty. And if I'm in the mood for ores I usually tow my TT beside me and do the job properly. For me the driver is less the credits or the ore, more the XP.
One suggestion I would make is for the person clearing the field to get the exclusive info "This field will respawn in 6hr 30 min" which will make it more worthwhile to clear a field. At the minute there is little incentive to clear a field only to leave it to randomly spawn or someone else in several hours time.
And thanks to everyone who leaves the pop-roids - for me the best part of being an explorer apart from hulking.
+1 to Overtkill for the idea of repopulating the off-beaten path hidden ast-navs. Zwei, Ard, Vega, Tarsis and several other systems do not have their fields fully populated. That said - there is plenty of ore out there for those of us who do mine. However I'd guess there are only about 15 of us active at any one time (200 players, 60 players are explorers, a quarter of us not doing combat/jobs/building/missions/eating pizza and beer).
There are still a couple of ship-like 'navs' called things like 'Level 8 Gasses" which offer 1 unit of helium - presumably a placeholder (eg. behind Ard Planet) -
There really ARE plenty of places with L9 roids, and yes, the roids do respawn if the roid/field are not cleared. You could make a case for people being mean and mining everything and NOT leaving anything for anyone else!
There are very good spots way of the navs, and there are several places which are not mapped on the reference maps - so - go fit better scan kit and go explore.
If you really need the ores you can rip many from comps, and if its just L9 mining xp you need just do gas in Glenn? -
Part of the fun is finding these weapons, getting the prints, and finding the ammo. Easy life = boring game?

JD L30 mission. You need spare parts from a Jag vendor. SAM gets repaired.
Wondering if spare parts are a trigger for something?
The only think I can think of that is like a robot, apart from the Controller, is the Petrified Golem which drops the Lucky token. I have no idea what this is for.-

...but try doing the math for L60 mobs which explorers and traders struggle to touch, and then add in a bit of trade and credits from the loot. We can see the warriors farming the 58s and 60s in BBW and Antares. A bit more fun than flying like a blue-arsed fly between Pluto an Earth?

I sometimes do this by accident. I fly in from a long distance at the same speed as my missiles, debuff and POW - only to realize someone else is attacking. Even if I break off the missiles are incoming. I will not attack if the MOB is already engaged by someone.
Anyhow - good to point out kill-stealing doesnt have a place here. Lets have some respect for each other.-

I believe I have seen botting. You stand there with one other person and then suddenly the jobs come up, and before you've had time to read one, six jobs get taken. But the person stands there - probably just discarding the jobs they dont want, and guess what - when the next job list comes, six suddenly disappear like lightning. Eventually the person gets all their jobs in Swoop or wherever and off they trot. Very clever use of macros to get the jobs first, but not very nice game play. I just go somewhere else and do something more productive.
Occasionally I have also seen miners who mine is a trancelike way. Most miners tractor the ore and within half a sec we are off to the next. The botter program has to ensure all the ore is collectted and there is an un-natural 15 secs wait before they retarget, warp and mine the next roid. Again, not very nice gameplay.
I guess its down to us to challenge those we suspect. -

Big difference between "Gender" and "Gender_Required" so I don't think its just NPC dialogue.
I think anything that makes the place a more diverse and interesting place shouild be encouraged. -

I like this - a problem for all games is the end-game. With some pretty rewards for the maxed-out people it provides a route to obtain rare items. Some could be SP-only items as well. I don't agree with the maxing-out all skills - there are some skills ya just don't need eg hacking and beam on a TS. Just make it 150+ rollover points and give people the option to go for extra skills or the SP-items.
