  1. I'd like some solo missions - grouping not allowed - that is aligned to race/profession with race/profession rewards.  I still think the new toon-types are under served with equipment.

I loved the halloween style raid - grab a figurine, queue up and get some interesting loot.  More please.

    Make the Bunyip relevant.

There are still several items not dropping (as far as I can see) so add more MOBs, and perhaps clues to where loot tables and mobs are added.

More missions along the lines of Tsu/Jinx, and Humboldt.

More depth for the explorer class.  More to find.  Hulks are great but some kind of random spawns.

More builder rewards - some missions with prints along the lines of Oni, Terran Advantage, SSR, oh and yes, SS8 and other bogeril wonderfulness.

    Open the other sectors.

    Invent new sectors.

Invent new MOBS - absurdly difficult.

Complete some of the missing build lines - what are shards for?

    VRIX!

Huge credit or time sinks like the capital ship project, expensive vendor equipment.

  2. I'm a retired ship captain. Amethyst is from HMS Amethyst, the British Navy ship that escaped the clutches of the Peoples Liberation Army in China.  She was trapped on the Yangtse between Nanjing and Shanghai for over 3 months and overcame problems with food and water shortages, being shelled and shot at frequently, river chain-bars, and being grounded a couple of times.  HMS Amethyst saw action in WWII and helped sink a couple of U-boats.

I've had a couple of worrisome incidents at sea and I always remember Amethyst's never-give-up, never-give-in character - a quality they teach you if you are responsible for souls at sea.

It also happens to be my birthstone.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Amethyst

Many of my ships are named HMS - Hood, Antelope, Tiger, Sheffield, Ark Royal, Victory, Indefatigable, Revenge, Conqueror etc.

The rest of my toons are normally the result of panic at Character-Create when my first ideas are rejected because someone got there first - damn cherry-pickers.

  3. I would change ISPs after everything I have read.  BUT be aware there may be financial penalties for moving, more work for the devs, disruption, the question of whether other hosts will accept the EMU, and the grass-is-greener possibility that another host will be no better.  That said, I think 1&1 sucks big time.

  4. ST4 was fun, agreed.  Leveling was easier, MOBs easier.  But it WAS incredibly buggy with profession missions broken, stability issues, glitches, unavailability, stuck toons, and generally borked but improving all the time.

Live is (at least for me) stable, a lot of fun, with more content, more end-game interest.  If I get bored with one toon, there are 8 other professions to work on.  As for recreating Live and maintaining it as an exact replica (which bit exactly?) I don't think it flies.  If we just replicate the game at Sunset boredom will set in.  Every game moves on, and I trust our developers to create engaging storylines and new content to explore.  We hear people saying there is not enough content to keep interest alive and I'm all for extending the game further.  The Devs ask for, and get, input.  Being negative without constructive proposals won't move the game on.  I cannot wait to see more systems opened up, more missions, new equipment, more MOBs.

Long Live the Emulator!  Long Live the Devs!

  5. +1 Mattsacre

What problem?  Devs have said on many occasions that fields respawn regardless of  incomplete mining.  The 'problem' people have is arriving second and knowing someone else got there first. Learn the spawn rates and be there first - solved. The idea that someone else should tidy up to your satisfaction seems odd - the field will reappear anyway.

There seems to be a lot less competition in the fields these days so I'm not sure what the fuss is about.

  6. If it looks too good to be true it usually is.  Seeing 10 juicy L9s in a L7 roid is a sure sign.

I've noticed no difference this week, other than the toning down of the roid-monsters (boo - I like getting a bit of combat xp clearing up the mobs).

As Zackman says its chance.  You may see none in a field or several, every one might blow up or maybe none.  You may get 10 in a row on a bad (good?) day.  If you are mining 'at your level' then you dont notice them blowing up unless you hit 4 in a row in which case a bit of caution is needed.  If you are pulling L9s with maxed reactor and prospect but a thin shield then yes, it is a little scary - don't steal the candy unless you are prepared for the consequences!!

  7. I turned off Market and New Players as I don't like chat littered with derogatory terms like Nazi (even if it was a lame joke).  I've not played this morning as I'm not enjoying the grizzling and whittling and whining going on.  I had a coffee and a pastry at my deli, and enjoyed some spring sunshine.

    It's a GAME.  I enjoy it. :)

I had a slow start to Live.  I had a series of eye ops last year and nearly lost my sight.  I missed live by 5 weeks and I'm still playing catch-up - I'm thankful I can see and thankful I can play EnB.

I'd still like to get my hands on the Waking Nightmare ( help needed with the next 12 commanders pretty please!) - it is a nice bit of kit for everyone.

I still need to level more toons to join my TT and TS - it's a little harder now but it will be done....

    Chill guys....chill...

  8. Risk v Reward.  I have mentioned the lack of guardians in high level fields in many posts before.  High level fields SHOULD have high level guardians - botting or not.  Pop-roids should be popping appropriate MOBs too.  If you want easy mining then go to Io and Jupiter.  If you are wanting L8 and 9 ammo and weapon ores then you should also expect it to be a little tougher.

Now if those MOBs were also dropped interesting loot along the lines of normal MOBs then people would be out there helping clear them.

It's less of a 'war on miners' than a 'war on lazy miners'?

  9. One way to dig out this info is to do a search like 'show me L7 engines, manufacturable, that I cannot build'.  Easier if you have most engines printed.

You can also 'show cookbook' but its not in an easily digestible format that you could paste into a spreadsheet.

One answer is to mine everything and keep everything - start those ore mule now.   However - that all said, there is not a huge market for most things except ammo ores.  If I were you I'd start a TT and a Warrior too.

  10. A lot of this information is kind of out there already.  Flechette ammo needs Toxic Substrate which needs Worm Bits ans Persephonite.  Look up Worm Bits and you find its also used in three different substrates.

Look up Flechette and you find the weapon and you can see it needs Profero Manus Manu, Foedius vox Redivivus, and Stage II Encryptions.  Look up these and....you get the picture.

I like the idea of Agrippa but its too impenetrable for me to bother starting (just yet).  I would LOVE to see a list of the Agrippa components, equip and weapons, and another list of the new mission-only rewards.  That would be a very good start and might kick off interest in Agrippa and the missions.

  11. I'm with Mattsacre.

I'm loving the game.  There is a lot more content, more missions (particularly for L150+), systems to explore, equipment.  I like the raid triggering (if only I could find a feather), but I would like to see more raids (loved the halloween raid PLZ can we haz it back).  I'd like to know where AAs drop - I mine frequently in high lvl places and not one L8 AA. Raids are hard for most people, and are means to obtain better kits which in turn makes the raids easier.  But they ARE hard when you first start.  I tiny whinge I have is the new menace makes it even harder for the next round of toons reaching L150.

Those people who rushed thru to 150 in a matter of weeks need to take a chill-pill and take a more relaxed look at a new char.  Its a game after all.

If you want to have some creative and practical input then please list ways that 'end-game' content can be added.

I can see Vrix in my future, Ole Homestead, Ardus, the Maelstroms.  And maybe some surprises?

We do have to remember this is not a paid workforce with a department of 50 techies. Props to the Devs and GMs. + + +
