  1. Interesting. As part of the Snowden leaks its appears intelligence is monitoring online games like WoW, 2nd Life and I'd guess Eve.

We are a small close knit community and I think its unlikely we are harboring any fanatics of the bad kind.  I certainly know we have the good guys playing these games.  As a Director of the British Space Corps and our arms length manufacturing Harland and Wolff Corp I knew Vile Rat of the goons in Eve.  He was ex-SEAL and Info Officer for the Libya Embassy and was killed protecting the Ambassador.  BoB also had a large number of people from the forces of several countries.  I know our Eve management in several Corps were obsessive about our own security and infiltration of hostiles from Russia, Serbia and China. Our favorite act was to sucker in an obvious outsider, get them to fly their goodies out to sovereign 0.0 and then out them and gank them and confiscate their gear.

I hate to think the really bad guys are in there too.  I suppose its what happens when we play games in a worldwide manner.

  2. I'm sure I suggested a couple of these ideas before. If we wanted to make credits more meaningful we need some serious credit sinks, so that the rich players want to spend their fortunes and then want to sell nice stuff for what they can get  (rather than trade unobtainable objects for other unobtainable).

So - an NPC that sells some absurdly expensive gear - either raid loot, rare drops, or some of the yet-unreleased equipment - healing the shear gear, lens of Zethren, a carapace, semi-organics, a feather, novelty items like the valentines shields, poppers, chunckers, whatever...  I'm thinking 200m+  and perhaps 1bill for FOC/POC/CVE.

Or - SP purchase - maybe 500m per SP. Valid only if you are 150+

Or - a WH NPC at a weft that will dial you into your chosen sector for 100m.

  3. Hmmm. Interesting.  I'm not sure giving grief to low level refiners is worth the grief?  However, perhaps making some of the more specialist stuff difficult is quite appropriate?  Things like b-silicon, glass cover plates, hydrazine, positive plates, zirconium dioxide, the dark matter refines, tazeron, beakers, the eye.  Basically anything that is a compound with a specialist application.  I think I have a fairly complete list of all these compounds...

  4. I'd like to see a MOB list in the DB - what actually exists. Not necessarily where they exist.

I'd like to supplement that with a drop record of what these MOBs might drop.  I find it very frustrating looking for stuff that might never drop.

I'd be very pleased if some of the other systems were opened - Roc/Ardus/Der Tod/Maelstroms/New systems.

    More interesting missions/unique rewards/zeke/new bosses/raids.

    (and our own client)

  5. If it helps I have a pretty detailed spreadsheet of printable stuff I have never seen, though this includes several things some of the top builders always seem to have. I have about 2300+ items on it, and there are about 200 things I've not seen drop anywhere.  That's not to say they don't drop of course.  Oddly - one of the areas I seem lacking are certain L4 devices despite countless hours camping supposed drops.

  6. I'm loving it. I've spent most of the week popping L3-9 roids with some nice surprises to print.  There still seems to be several low mobs which are dropping just the usual stuff.  That said, maybe you do have to kill hundreds to get the goodies.

Which brings me to the math.  Each roid you pop, I'd suggest, has a change of 1:5 or 1:8 of a popmob. Each popmob may have a 1:100 chance of dropping something nice.  This means we are having to pop 500 roids to get the drop. This seems as bad as getting a feather or a BofO?? Add the fact it takes a long time to scout round fields and maybe finding 2-3 poproids (or maybe nothing), and an hour or more for repopulation and you have a low, low chance of not much.  Not a complaint but an observation.  Perhaps more poprocks, faster respawn, or perhaps tweak the percentages up a little?

  7. OK. If you can't tell your tokens apart from the rest of your crap after this one, you need glasses.

    This one was much overdue.

I DO need glasses. I operate on one eye and a half after serious eye surgery last year. And, yes, it is easy to sell similarly iconed objects without a lot of care. No probs if you can loot again. Serious problems if you cant repeat a mission.

I can hardley read chat, never mind check up on an item description. Props to the graphics crew.

  8. I can field ComponenTT and Amethyst TS, or Ame JE if I'm around.  I don't expect loot from the big raids, though I still have a couple of wants from those pesky Mordana.

I'm very limited with time but I have full daytime Tue-Thu 10-5 EST Chicago.

(I'm sure you are doing things like Moto admirals, Pax Gravitas, Arx Promethicus, Bunyip, Ascendant Voltoi, Infinitycorp Insider... )
