  1. the hellbore is one of the best and coolest weapons in the game. I understand terrans want some better weapons, but be reasonable.

how about asking for us to put in a missile drop that isn't as good nor as cool, but gets the job done and makes the terrans happy?

  2. 2. There will be more quests in the future. We try to reimplement the quests that were in live but we have few resources to tell us all the details of the missions. Because of this we have some of the live quests in and many we simply don't have enough info on.

also, yes we're adding and have added new content, like sectors that were meant to be in live but were never finished as well as quests to populate these sectors.

  3. The developers put in tons of effort making the EnB universe the same as it was. We've used screenshots, videos, polls, and our own memory to populate what we've created. Given what we have it is impossible to totally replicate EnB, but we're doing the best we can. We don't change things for fun. We think and discuss major and minor gameplay changes. Also remember the few changes that we have made are not set in stone. If you don't like it, let us know. This meeting would be a perfect opportunity to get your opinion heard.

  4. Hi there!

    1. there are far too less hunting spots for low levels, flying around for hours to find a good spot with a decent respawn rate is a pain in the ass and NOT fun

Please refer to enbdatabase.com as its a very helpfull site.

Goto that link, look for the Mob Search part of the search engine. Click on the dropdown box that says "ALL" and change it to 20-24, and hit the search button. Dont put anything into the text box, so it'll bring up every mob in the game within those cl's.

we should still address this issue and not need to rely on a resource outside the game.

  5. this effect was originally used for the jenquai group shrine in live. Since we probably won't have that working for a while it doesn't really matter though.

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of effects to choose from that swirl around like that. We chose that one and eliminated the sound effect (thank goodness) to make it less annoying. We'll be on the look out for less annoying effects but we have a limited number of options. We will look into some other options and will try to post a poll for the public to choose between them if the choices are equally good (or bad).

  6. We are no longer considering adding new weapons for mobs to use (these weapons would not have been obtainable) but rather will add a system on to the mob editor to let us choose damage, fire rate, damage type, range, and visual effect. currently we only have the damage and range multipliers working, but the others will come soon.

  7. yes, you need:

    The game client

    The client patch (end-up.exe)

    and the net-7 files

all of these things it sounds like you've downloaded, so just register an account on our website if you haven't already: http://www.net-7.org/

then run the launcher in the folder C:\NET7\bin\

the launcher should patch you automatically then just press play and the game will run. Log in with the account you registered on net-7.org, not your old account from the live game.

    good luck!

  8. yup, it's not open same with the Mazzaroth Maelstrom for storyline reasons.

Now you might wonder, why do we have sectors like Der Todesengel in game and not the maelstroms?

The reason is the maelstroms are important to the main storyline and the happenings in the storyline and we will unveil them as these storyline "happenings" start to unfold.

  9. There was an event

It gave out high end equipment

Nobody knew it was going to happen

It might not have gone as smoothly as possible

I think it was blue chatted (meaning everyone could see it)

I really don't have a problem with events that give winners high end items as long as it doesn't give out too many of these items.

It was a good thing it wasn't announced on the forums in advance, otherwise the chaos would have been 5x more. Everyone was in the dark about the event so nobody had an advantage.

It could have gone more smoothly and the rules could have been more clear.

It might have been better to announce the event once in blue chat and take it to another channel instead of making everyone listen in.

I think we should take away from this issue that events should be more regulated, but as for what happened here just say "oh well" and move on. I don't see these 3 pages of arguing necessary.

  10. not everyone is happy about everything being revealed which is why we've been delaying the database dumps for a while after content updates so players can't use it to discover new content our content developers have added.

Yet when we talk about getting rid of the whole database, many players get upset and say we have to release data.

  11. I could see this as showing all the hidden roid fields thus making them unhidden.

I could also see a way to work around revealing these hidden roid fields and only revealing the locations of ore in common fields.

I could also see this workaround being a lot of extra work that probably won't happen

You're probably better off asking players where the roids are than getting the database to do it for you.

The main thing I see being a problem is that when you ask players where a good mine field is they might know a few, but the database will know all of them. To keep this game exploratory it would be prefered not to have such a good resource to tell players where to go.

Probably not the answer you wanted to hear..

  12. We've made an attempt at communication recently with the patch notes found in the launcher to tell players what's changed in the last content update.

We've also made a decision regarding how to do bug reports as shown in the bug reporting thread pinned in general discussion.

Players should post all bug reports in the bug report section of the forums, not through the in-game bug reporting system. The in-game reporting system should still be used for making GM tickets though. These tickets are used to request help from GMs for fixing bugged characters, or replacing lost mission items.

if you guys are wondering anything, just let us know. :)

  13. manes do not see through cloak. there is no skill that allows anything to see through cloak yet. right now cloak success is determined by combat level. If they are many combat levels higher than you, they will see you. I don't particularly like this system but this is how it works for now.

as for mining field guardian changes, I remember most of the good fields were guarded by hostile mobs unless they were really well hidden. The mobs were pretty spread out though. I remember mining in antares and having to avoid the deviants. It was one of the toughest mining spots for me at the time though the deviants were pretty rare. Besides the asteroid fields in ardus, antares had some of the most dangerous mining fields for JEs.

  14. I don't know if this topic is also implying the endgame boss changes that we put in to make some of the end game gear much harder if not impossible to get. But if it is, that was an attempt to make the endgame items a bit more special. It had gotten to a point where TEs with level 8 missiles could solo kite bosses like the controller and raid type bosses. This meant a lot of endgame loot or loot that had severely reduced drop rates. To preserve the "prestige" of the items we took out some of the bosses and buffed others until we have a chance to make the bosses challenging and balanced. The way we looked at it was, if people get the best items in the game pretty easily now, why would they want them later when the items were much more difficult to get?

We want to restore the bosses to their old ways, making players have to use tactics and work together to defeat them. Unfortunately we haven't gotten to this point yet so the bosses are either really difficult or missing. This is temporary and we hope to balance them soon.

once again, this post is unrelated to the gate faction changes and the must be level 150 to go to fishbowl change.

  15. I also remember it to have auto-registered.

    pros:

    1. no more forgetting to press register

    2. no more making trade routes shorter than they should be

    3. makes more sense not to be able to return to a station you registered at after you pick up trade goods from a different station

    cons:

    1. no more making trade routes shorter than they should be

    2. JD return skill less needed

  16. there will be no playing of WoW. ;)

I'm sorry if this sounds cheesy, but we're only human. I had plenty of bad experiences when I played live but I kept coming back because I liked the good people of the community more than I hated the bad eggs. If you're not getting that same vibe there are things you can do to make the community a better place. I suggest helping people. I'm sure many players would love to see more people helping others and I bet part of the reason you are upset is because you don't see as many people helping out like you did in live. There's only one thing to do, and hopefully it will cause other people to do the same thing.

  17. they have to make mission items for players that lost them. these mission items sometimes include devices and other equipment. It also gives them the ability to put equipment on their own ships. With these weapons they can kill powerful mobs when they need to help out players in bugged scenarios. Also, something about a GM using level 1 beams just isn't right. It's not intimidating enough.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention. We DEVs and GMs aren't corrupt, though we have had an issue or two with staff giving out items. I wanted to let you guys know that it is completely against the rules for any staff to give out created items.

"12. A GM will not use the GM account/character to aid fellow players to gain credits, levels, experience, or any items."

In the case of them running an event, they should have talked to other members of the team before they did it. I would hope if the created items exist they will be removed. Any staff member who had involvement will be questioned.

  18. this system is mostly for if you need help from a GM. Put content and coding bugs on the forums in the proper section please.

If you need a quest item you accidentally sold or if something goes wrong with your character make a report in the in-game bug report.
