Same problem here. Just reinstalled after a year or so away and now I cannot connect to the global server. Followed the latest installation guide and the only thing I notice was that there was no request for me to install a certificate the first time I ran the launcher.
Attempting to check the certificate with the launcher resulted in the following error:
Could not check ssl certificate status. Details: Unable to connect to the remote server.
The error log reports this:
LaunchNet7 - Exception
Version: 1.9.9.11

The launcher screen itself looked fine, showing sunrise.net-7.org as online.
I tried downloading a certificate (net-7.org.crt) from a similar, albeit older, forum thread and installed it, but this has not made any difference. Also tried installing the local.net-7.org.crt and launching with the local cert option checked. This connected to the server when the game launched, but just presented me with an INV-300 error when I tried to log into the game.
Anyone out there who could shed a bit of light into what's gone wrong here?
p.s I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times and it has not made any difference.
