uh...maybe i'm missing something here...you guys are DEV's so you have free grazing rights and all the uber commands etc on the DEV server....so...they decide due to abuses of powers and odd stuff with the /slash commands that it is time for the play server to be play only and limit access..to play accounts only (hey I'm a gm they did it to me too)
so....like you did not see this coming as the project nears completion or did you just like the DEV title behind your name on the play server?...if that is the case well...thanks for your prev help but the project is moving along to the point where (i think i'm correct here jump in if this is not guite right) where eventually the gm's will only reply to gm bug tickets and are anon on play server as of right now anyway. the...devs will only be on the dev server and the play server will stay "pure" so to speak for players only...any dev's or gm's or others not of an admin class or some such will just be playing their regular toons like everyone else ..but there is a whole dev server out there to explore/fix/create/beta test and the rest of the work needed for the project that will (i hope) migrate in a more timely fashion or regular schedule to the play or live server...
a nice little biosphere of development /test to play server ..to feedback.from play server ..to dev server ..........repeat process etc
so....i guess suck it up ..........the toons they be a changing

ok here goes I have screenshots of a weapons inspector, terran psis, several different v'rix and their silly text and well examples of what a high lvl JD's thrusters SHOULD look like
etcetc oh and also Azazel ..... let me know what to do I have Skype as my most trusted file sending programi'm watching..but have not had any luck asking where people like you (and another guy with his enb orig stuff from live) should send their stuff to get picked over for stuff like chat logs, pics, or in your case a crap;ola of the more exotic screenshots and hopefully some pics/toons
anyway...let me know how it goes but my team speak 3 is flakey the simple way is just get on ts3 and hopefully some (or most) have some kinda ftp link private or public that you can just dump stuff to....if/when i find someone i'll let you know
you may want to check out the other thread on here of someone also in your boat to coordinate i'm sure there will be others that are diving in closets dusting off old cpu doorstop to see if hd still has data from back in the day
anyway?.....any devs on here have a public ftp they can send it to...and i doubt they want to upload them to megaupload etc in that when i try to do that they always want $$$ and or i get spam'd with ads etc (drives adaware app crazy)
suggestions?
anyway keep hanging in there let me know if you are sucessful so i also can point people in the right direction

Found an old harddrive and was able to copy off the entire Data directory from my original EnB install before server shutdown. Email me if you still need it and we can talk about how to transfer it. File size 1.39gb contains both Common and Client directory and all directories under those. 1102 files in folder.
you might get on team speak 3 and talk to a dev and perhaps they could give you some access to the ftp site dev wise to upload it
if nothing else let me know how it goes ...if that does not work...we can figure something out...but let us know if you are sucessful so i can tell others that ask (had someone ask the other day...not sure how it went with them yet screenshots etc same deal)

The EnbEmu has a teamspeak. Join it to chat with fellow enb players and developers.
To use it, simply download the teamspeak client and enter the server address.
the server changed addresses after the crash

ok david and some others managed to get me to sorta work (ugly but works) into team speak 3 those others with issues you may have to get in chat in enb and play chat for a bit to get it worked out so you can get tweaked to get into ts3 just figured i'd post that it can be done but may have to be done w/o voice for a bit while they "experiment on you" brohahahaha
anyway....works (sorta) at least they can sorta yell at me in ts 3 to get the heck to skype if they have something to tell me skype by the way works just great with enb game up , gm tools up, skype up, and team speak 3 up ....go figure

Well i have teamspeak 3 working now but...it does not in any way shape or form work with a 56k modem...so that is my only connection from work ...so that will put a crimp in my ts3 useage...it does however work fine if i can dig up bandwith
so it is NOT my laptop for once ...bandwidth issue...in that they don't care if i get on from work a modem is better then nothing (not by much) and i prob am not gonna pay $60/m to use a sprint card for wireless..can't afford that much as i am very tempted .they have a $40 plan but that lets you use like 7-8 whole hours a month with other issues... i think it was...zowie
anyway..game still works just fine via 56k modem in fact so well you can't tell the diff but that lag goes away at 56k modem speed (the modem is too slow for it usually to even register that lag happened weird)
anyway....all is well in Searing's world...launcher works ...now it just another hum drum laptop connecting to the project with no unique issues (it like i got out of an abusive relationship....i miss the excitement of my laptop being "bad"....(note to self: stay away from "bad girls" could also be a problem)

Just a thread for people to post where they are from in the world here (or beyond)...in the EnB emulator universe.
I hail from a small town called Mankato, Minnesota USA it is now 20 below zero so having the EnB project is a good
thing...play on laptop good......cold bad.....erg...
So feel free to post your location in the big wide world...and just as a side note....i'd like to see an app on here
that i see on occasional web sites that shows stats or location via map or graph of where people are hitting from
in the world..anyway that is a different thread should anyone wish to start it....but i'd like to see the stats on
where people are wandering in from to the project from around the world in some kinda app form it would be cool.
Anyway post where you are from and how you found out about the project or anything else of note you wish to say

Last point i saw in the pics that i had net-7 launcher (custom) so i tried it without the (custom) tag in the start slot works fine that way too does not have to be set for custom to work same as before works well in default mode nothing checked
i've attached also my last pic of the proxy on logon and a completed log out..just jumped on/off server to get a pic of a complete sequence i assume this is what it is supposed to look like ..but figured as long as i made the above point a complete proxy session from start to finish pic could not hurt

so what does the launch debug button actually do? As far as I can tell it just pauses Net7proxy if there's an error so you can read the message. So nothing's really changed? I guess something 'fixed itself' in Searing's laptop
It's good news anyway!see my reply in this thread to david to see how it works also here are the screenshots of the launcher and the proxy i get with NOTHING toggled in other words it works from default mode ...no debug box or anything needs to be checked...in launcher..i do have packet optimization checked at all times it seems to work ok as well and as i stated before works fine with a 56k modem the game in general no lag (it is soooo slow it don't notice lag)
I'm running XP Pro SP3 with all the upgrades..again this evil laptop is a Compaq Evo N800v with 512mb ram (which i am getting 512mb 266mhz chips to upgrade to 1gig) it is a 2 gig cpu and a 120gig hd..and an impressive 64meg of video ram...zowie.....anyway avoid this product...
here are the screenshots assuming i can get them to post here of the launcher and proxy
anyway...if the pics don't take let me know i'll put them in a stand alone forum post.
Thanks again for your help...always ready to help the project by pushing the technological envelope in the wrong direction.....

nope works just fine in default mode no debug button is needed to be hit..so no boxes are checked unless you count the packet optimization which i have toggled on at all times...so detours do not need to be checked and debug does not need to be checked and viola it comes up with me just hitting launcher no hit on the shortcut to the ip address afterwords
it is true ..it is the end of days when my laptop is normal (now you will tell me that it should only work WITH the debug option checked ..because that was put there for me!)
anyhoo we will see how long it takes my evil laptop to "turn" and or break the "leash" you can only keep the powers of darkness at bay for so long.......
thanks for the fix and putting up with my "enhancements" to the project....game still works fine on a 56k modem by the way but teamspeak 3 does not work with 56k modem...so you may only see me there occasionally if i can drum up bandwith someplace...teamspeak does work well for this laptop if i fine bandwith thou

ok...tienbau..david....brace yourselves...my laptop (compaq evo n800v or spawn of the devil as many refer to it) now
WORKS....directly...from the launcher as of 1/4/10..at 3am CST...more/less....(after 1 and 1/2 yrs) without having to run a shortcut patch made by david (4 1/2 hrs of his life he will never get back on team viewer) to direct it to the server IP address.....not only that....it comes up without detours being checked.....as well.....its well a miracle......(bow's head)
but then i got to thinking....if my evil laptop is now one with the universe and working....it can only mean that the rest of the universe is out of whack....(very concerned now....shudder) i mean does that mean the rapture is upon us? is it the end of days....
probably...
but until then everyone can rest assured i will now cherish only having to hit launcher without spraining my little pinky on hitting the shortcut to the ip address 1 sec afterward....(i'm sure your thrilled..a savings of about 600 secs a year maybe...)

p.s. did i mention that i now have on order the proper set of 512 mg 266mhz ram chips to upgrade the beast to its max of 1 gig ram from 512....of course that will cause no problems right?

It's in beta simply because it's an early release. If you look at the old teamspeak client it was TECHNICALLY in beta for as long as we used it. The "RC2" stands for release candidate 2.
In any case, it's not file hippo, I'm aware of the site. I'm going to go the way I always go with this one...

but...but.....if MY UGLY laptop can get on then anyone's laptop can prob get on ...i'm like the bottom backstop to the project..i push technology's limits in the wrong direction (i knew i could be cutting edge at something as long as you don't look at the proper direction anyway.....but of course if it is just the cool laptops that are allowed in the EnB sandbox i would prob then have to concede your point
my laptop can get in the game but it def is not a "cool laptop"
(searing's laptop is now sad....will have to go to the island of unwanted toys here soon)

well.....www.filehippo.com is prob as common a download source as www.downloads.com so that is prob not the issue
the funny thing is the k-lite codec pack and the k-lite codec mega pack they are common popular ways to get codecs on
both sites...so......just thought it was odd...so maybe it is simply the way the default works when you unpack these
codec packages ..don't know...i'm runnning xp pro with all the updates etc etc
anyway i'd check out www.filehippo.com for a quick way to get updates of popular freeware/shareware i'm sure others
on here know the site and will recommend it as well.
anyway ....there has to be SOME reason why Team Speak 3 is in beta ...must be us old laptop types mucking up the up

by the by ....TS 3 works just fine now or did till it went down in the am last nite with 4 of us on i assume it is

HAHAHAHA.... Your windows and your processor are against you there. try reinstalling with the 32bit version of the software.

no that was not it ...i had a codec pack called K-lite codec pack ....i unistalled that tried the k-lite codec pack mega version (more codecs) that did not work either ...tried the following codec pack diskunsi codec pack that one seems to work ok and was able to get into TS 3 and use it finally
so yeah that k-lite codec pack stuff is pretty common and a major choice on www.filehippo.com main page ...so this issue may come up again if anyone asks

i can get in an people can hear me..but everyone sounds like a dolphin on speed talking thru an aluminum tube filled with helium....really weird...should prob copy the sound for use in the game for the vir'x guite alien.but does not help me understand
i ran thru all the settings someone said that i was only showing from there end getting 1/2 the packets no idea how to fix this....so if this is how it goes from default you may have some probs on the upgrade
TS 2 regular works just fine so it was not data loss due to the blizzard around here
suggestions? someone said to upgrade my codecs (i could do that they are 6wks old) but doubt it is that
running xp prof edition with all the upgrades bells and whistles

not sure if this is still true or not but when i prev installed this patch back in the day.....you had to basically re install it after each patch or at least some patches to the game would over write them ..you might ask tienbau if there could be an option to add this to the music files in game in the regular patching process or at least see if there is a way to add it as an option on the regular full install with and option to toggle it safe on subsequent updates to the server
not sure if above probs are still an issue but that is what i would do in the future if i am correct
if it as easy fix i'd simply run the particular music thru the EnB Board and if they deem it approprate just add it to the patching process my view anyway
