  1. Right I'm kind of bored with Tennis Season Ending soon, also my League of Legends queue has been getting higher. So I'm looking for "gap" work to help new players or players in general.

Right now I'm looking to do

135 HU Looks (Can't find anywhere) Screenshots is what I need. Going to start doing this by finding players and asking. Pretty much need a Screenshot with HU Info. TE Wing Style 2, Hull Style 3. and Such. Since someone may like the starter look, but enjoy a end look better. ^_^ Not sure if the Hull changer/character change terminal works correctly or not.

Abbreviation Guide: In game terms + a few basic for "Newish Gamer" Mainly looking for stuff such as BBG(Black Beard's Ghost)

If you think of a guide besides class guide go ahead and suggestion. I wish fraps didn't give me like 4 fps, I'd make a YouTube tutorial of basic learning and controls. (If anyone can help with this I'll appreciate it, then I'll make a guide in return. :) )

Just looking for a timer killer + to give back to community.

Edit: Currently have a Notepad with a list, slowly adding. More uncommon harder ones to spell just as CVE and such are helpful through PM/Post. Due to not wanting to have to find each item(Rarer ones) then write name down.

  2. if anyone else is getting this please post up; the system should be more reliable since the last patch, not less.

Are you using any of the unofficial mods?

Only things I have up during EnB as I 'always' meaning 99% of time.

    Pandora.com

    Xfire

    A site or two.

    Windowed mode(happens in full also)

    If not pandora, media player.

It's been fine for a bit right now. Though I haven't gated as much due to America's Best Dance Crew, and House. :(

Edit: Oh yea, Fenris sucks. For doing runs for about 9 hours. I've had Fenris bug warp about 15 times? I believe. Where you warp and when you hit a nav you keep warping, then when you warp and stop it puts you around 5k ahead. AP has done it about 2 times, but not like Fenris.

  3. Which would you choose? And why?

I can't decide between the two! Let me know what you think the Pros and Cons of each are.

Also, the stats that they are given in the starship creator are different to the ones on enbx.com. Are the stats in the creator the actual ones, and do they really mean much?

    DISCUSS! :(

Depends on explorer you want, and want you to bring to a group/raid. I could list things, but a bit tired right now cause of TRs + running around in between flights.

  4. Ive tried a TW in emulator, and I don't think it's that hard to get Combat XP. Especially since Terrans in general can kill things over their CL by kiting with missiles. Played both a JE and JW in Live (and emu) and don't think they're that hard to level up in Combat, work on TL and EL first, so your shields and skills are ahead of your CL. IMO of the 3 types of XP, Explore is the most of a pain to get, at least for non-miners. (esp if you don't feel like doing tours) On my JT the easiest way to level up both EL and CL was to do trade runs, and use spillover. For my TW, it's fairly easy to do combat, and same with my TE (Scout). Haven't tried playing as a PW, either in Live or Emulator, but PE (live) and PT (emu) aren't that tough to do combat with or level up combat. Pretty much any toon with a combat component, can level up combat XP by fighting, faster than any of the explorers can level up EL by mining. Trade runs for toons with Negotiate however is probably faster than both Explore and Combat.

Probably helps, at least for the Warriors that they can kill mobs fairly quickly, and that the PW and TW can usually solo over their level. Killing something the same CL as you netted 1000 Combat XP per kill (Live). The only thing I can think of that does more is Fenris to Somerled if you have a toon that can Negotiate (Neg 5 gives 2K per item FPO-Somerled direction). Mining doesn't rack XP like that for Explore, but if you trade your ores to another player, then have them trade them back, then refine them, then sell them, you can make some pretty good Trade XP, from mining.

Haven't found combat hard. Just Tedious, due to having to find a good spot with respawns + stackable loot, smaller loot table and close to Base. Due to having to do ammo runs. We kill faster but run out of ammo faster. :( Trade Runs are just more % Faster overall which is sad. Explore is faster then combat imo, usually with right spots and equips. Especially Terran Explorers.

I just find experience is a little lacking overall being a warriors main job to blow stuff up. Compared to ratios over other classes roles, but yea never found experience hard on anything.

To put to a easier point.

Doing combat to 150. Would take maybe 3-4 weeks. 8 hour to 12 play time. Maybe less.

    150 on a miner, about 1-2weeks.

150 on a Warrior with no Neg. TRs about week or 2.

    150 with Neg 5. About a week 8 hours a day up to 12.

Course I can't do 8-12 anymore due to tennis besides weekends. It was stupid on my TW. I was like 50 logged on 2 days for runs then was 115ish.

  5. So right now.

    Trade>Explore>Combat

In how you can level which faster. Post 15+ usually.

Trade is always constant and good, increases as you level due to speed. Some slight exp on decline, but not enough to match speed increase + cargo hold.

Explore constant through levels usually requires a little bit more required course same as trade, but shows more then trade usually that you need more, increases with reactor + speed though can be dangerous for good exp fields. Give a nice trade help too.

Combat, pretty much the slowest of the 2 in aspects if you factor in MINERs and using the group system, though you lose on trade. Not sure on tours, but tours are RNG. Combat does give trade decent at lower, trasher at higher, even farming constant bio loot still pretty low EXP gain between the two to match others.

    Advantages.

    Trade:Fast exp, some cash.

Explore: Not as fast, decent cash helps upper community with building comps for things.

Combat: Learning for end game/skills/gets items + money. Leveling is seriously crippled here.

There can be things added there, go ahead and mention then I'd add(probably).

    Basic Rules of the thread:

    1.Flaming to minimum.

    2. No Get It to Live or Make it like Live stuff. Why? Growing community + wanting the game to grow. Things should be able to be tweaked to give a benefit to community, or allow more challenging play and such. Plus this is a Discussion not a begging thread/suggestion thread to what to do.

    3. Opinions are opinions. May not be your view, but don't go for the throat.

    Discussion:

As you noticed it says combat experience.

Due to the fact I want to discuss is Warriors( Mainly JDs and PWs )

Due to lack of Negotiate, they can do trade runs not as effective, but they are warrior classes and should fight anyway. (Not as I said mainly JDs/PWs due to fact TEs get it)

Their explore is tours, somewhat of their role. They fight and they protect they destroy to others to thrive.

Fighting: What they should do best killing stuff with flashy beams, quick missiles, or barrage of shiny balls/objects.

Combat gives items which are needed in game, but can effectively be farmed at any level, and the higher the faster you can farm it, also usually gives most income.

Now said warriors get a extra slot or two. To increase power of killing, but is it as effective as TL bar, not really usually not even close besides lower levels, but after a while it starts to really drag in comparison.

    Example:

10 minutes of TR about 5-7% for a Warrior at 40ish. 50k-66k Profit.

10 minutes of combat. Maybe 1-4% depends on weapons. 2k-2mill Proft (RNG) plus Ammo cost besides JDs.

In my opinion combat is very gimped overall at experience, yea items + money. Though at 150 it's a joke even with vendor weapons to earn up very quickly and such. Already a community that has items for to build so usually don't need to farm them to get built. Ammo is relatively easy to get: samples/buy from vendor.

SO now for the main thing. Warriors should they get a small adjustment on Combat? Since they do fight, oh they do get which makes thing faster to a point, but their reactor + shield plays important on this since to fire the extra weapon it takes reactor + waiting for shield to recharge. Unless kiting etc.

How would you feel on a small bonus for warriors on killing things to balance their experience to others and how they do their 'roles' and adjusting others (such a larger increase of money from trade runs for traders to help with $ to balance more)

Disclaimer: 99.9% Sure none of this will ever be implemented or adjusted due to previous discussions and posts on this. So don't go over serious. If you're not going to discuss or you post non-issue things. I'll ask someone to remove your posts. Thank you for reading this. :)

I want this thread to give a thread to talk about, that everyone does later or all the time in game. Mainly focuses on leveling to 50. At 50 values can always be changed due to the fact a lot of end is combat anyway.

Edit: Love developer's opinions + discussion on this to, how they feel on the matter.

  6. The main question is now: How powerful was their gravity link skill? Typically when fighting a Slayer or Terror Maw, they will hit Kassina with gravity link and engine thrust will go down to single digits (from about 760), and will "disable" the engine completely on occasion.

Since you're progen NOS could be 'useless' sometimes due to % speed increase not sure how numbers go first.

Edit: If you use that device. Just noticed a 'higher' speed as a progen.

Also the gravity link is OP. Disables everything(speed/warp) for like 2 minutes. So even after mob dies. You are stuck there for a bit and can't loot/do anything. By then a mob spawns and re-applies debuff.

  7. Anyone else get this? I do fine for about 2-3 hours each. Then a gate crash, about same amount of gates every time, but different gates. It gets annoying since it locks up game and takes about 10 minutes to reload due to EnB not wanting to close. Then the DC timer re-connect stuff trying to get on the character.

Did havn't have this problem on other patch. Is this a new try to stop trade run macros or something?

2 Accounts, 2 Computers. Does same thing. I thought might be connection flickering, but I canceled that theory by watching signal, and thing in back ground on crashes usually gives error/little messages, but it just stays the same with this.

This could go under tech, but nothing I can really fix on my side since everything else goes smooth, and things stay constant.

  8. it was player made 188%

    raaf

    Structure is probably 100%.

Weapons Vanishing, usually happen during equiping weapons or anything. Or moving anything. In which server disconnects, or you lag out. (Usually first) I've only had it once, but it was a level3 RR so wasn't a big deal. It's not to common I don't believe anymore though.

Just to let you know when reporting missing items. It helps probably to gave a time frame with PST/EST etc. Let's them go to the time frame of logs of the time said when you had it. Or least usually how it worked when I watched over RPG FPS's servers, log wise. So I'm presuming its similar since everything has time stamps.

Edit: Not being able to see the logs for self. I can't say it with 100% certain, but it probably is mostly right since many things have time stamps now a-days.

  9. Here you go, Adobe Reader

This will enable you to open any PDF.

I think that is default download on any computer. As I said I googled it and tried things. That was on top of course, but sadly had it. Tried it, no results. That's why I hate why there are some many different .file saves. I mean can't the internet just keep it simple.

Edit: Friend was able to load it, he sent me the text. So I can see it, he said it had a bunch of logos on it, but I don't really need to see that.

Edit2: Pretty much looks like the file is mainly for 'employees' of Net-7 with exception of 16 rules for players. Since that's what the rules are registered under. Which are 'very very' similar to one's in AF_Vet's post.

  10. The code of conduct posted as an announcement over all forums (at the top, by me) are "the rules", the GM rules are a subset of those, if they conflict with the overall code of conduct, then the overall code of conduct trumps them because they were drafted and implemented by the Board of Directors of the Net-7 Entertainment group. I don't think we covered anything about naming rules in them though. In regards to the earlier post about beta testers "exploiting" bugs, as long as they are doing so for testing to tell us how it works, that's fine. If they start using them for their own purposes, then they have crossed the line and would be dealt with by the Beta Director.

Ah, I remember why I don't have that bookmarked etc. Pretty much on 5 computers I've used. 2 with Vista, 3 XP. All using Notepad/Office/Open Office. I have not managed to open the file. With Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet explorer. Saving and opening. The text is a bunch of numbers and alignment symbols and so forth. I do not know if anyone else has had this trouble, Oh I would of responded quicker, but I played like 7 hours of my PSP on this one game then Practice tennis sorta.

Edit: If a Admin,GM,Beta,Dev etc. Mind sending me it in text through a PM would be great. I looked up .pdf (Which is what the file is in) Pretty much I tried some stuff, nothing worked still a bunch of random symbols/numbers.

  11. Also i am not sure if you guys thought about it but i am sure some ppl might get the idea later to sell there accounts/items for real cash.

And i am not quite sure if you guys want that to give it a OK or not.

However incase its not OK i think the rule below might need to be adjusted too.

    5) With the exception of in game sales of in game items, you may not market, promote or advertise anything, or make any other form of solicitation (including pyramid schemes and chain letters) on the The Earth & Beyond Emulator Service or any Earth & Beyond Emulator Web Sites.

The way i read it doesnt say anything regarding that you cant sell in game items for real cash.

Only reason i mention this i have seen ppl try to sell there characters/items on some WoW Emu server and for some F2P MMoRPGs.

Happens a lot, On this Emu not sure about, since easy to level/get items. That rule isn't very, the word is 100% to the point. Example of a rule like this is: "Right to bear arms." <- Well, there are some things that might need to be looked at there etc(Which has been.)

Solicitation is a big word. It means asking/begging. Pretty much about 80-90% (A guess) would have to google/bing/search engine that word.

    Re-defining the rule.

    5) With the exception of in game sales of in game items, you may not market, promote, or advertise anything, or make any other form of agreement (including pyramid schemes and chain letters) on any circumstance that involves outside of the game system such as real currency, real items, or trading a item from one game to this game.

^- Might could be re-worded with 'fancy' words, but gets the drift, also Mneme(hopefully spelled it right.) I completely ignore the EA Eula which comes up that you agree to. Since in which the forum has a CoC that you should follow because EA's pretty much says this game should not exist so it voids itself pretty much when you play the Emulator. I have a link to it in a previous post. (AFVet) HGM posted it.

Disclaimer: (FOR NOW THAT I KNOW OF, Af_Vet's post of the CoC are 'the rules.')

  12. Personally E&A is a major company, they'd be dumb not to see this Emu. I'm pretty sure they don't really care. I mean if I was in a company that made plenty of money and looking towards future of graphics + gameplay. Why would I look at a small community of a canceled game that my company doesn't earn money off of?

Answer: I believe in the CoC is you ask Net-7 Employee for permission. I'll edit in a sec if I can find the rule.

Edit: No rule against it. If you want to play safe, ask a Dev/GM etc.

  13. Does it currently say in the EuLA that players are not allowed to use numbers in their names? Personally I'd think it to be in bad taste but then I've played games where joe25590 was the common theme, and it just really kills immersion into the game. The P-#### is a Psi construct used by InfinitiCorp for "naming" the psis. Basically like the department of corrections in your local municipality or state assigns a number to you after you go to jail.

I suppose if I could have the problem presented that it causes for the GMs to use this something might change, but I don't necessarily understand. Are there players that want to use numbers in their names? If so why? This in my opinion would lead to impersonation, whereas for the GMs its used simply to allow them anonymity to do their jobs and not be harassed by players about their problems when they're not doing the GM thing.

Currently going by CoC posted by AF_Vet. I ignore the first thing that pops due to well, Some of the rules destroy the purpose of the Emu. Rule 16?14? I believe on it.

    The CoC is https://enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/64-rules-to-abide-by/page__p__25__hl__Terms%20of%20Service__fromsearch__1entry25

I'm fine with GMs with numbers in and players not for anonymous etc, but would be nice to have a disclaimer such as "Rules may be bent by Net-7 employees in which calls for testing or to allow anonymity when play their normal character, account." <- Some like that. Since if there isn't something like that. Then in which if a GM uses numbers. They are breaking the rules still since it's not stated anyway they are allowed to do that such forth. Same with 'not exploiting bugs' GMs/Betas might try to reproduce bugs/exploits to see how to possibly fix such bug/exploit, but still could be considered 'abusing' since they are trying to use, though for non-purposely gain, but still might allow them to gain something. (Such as being dupe a quest or bug weapons(<3Macro) for exp + advantage so forth)

Edit: I believe of the # GM's P##### etc. One did have a . in it. P#.#### I'm not sure as I don't have a screenshot of that etc. In which players might not enjoy numbers, but possible symbols(I'm not a fan of them myself besides FPS's for clan tags.)

  14. You're right, wording is everything. Since the CoC is a product of the Board, it trumps all other rule sets. I'll change the EULA once I get my machine running again. :P

I'm glad you did respond instead of my other thread that went un-replied for about 1-2days. Then suddenly had around 10 posts and some were to flame each other. I'm more or less looking to improve things, since I can't do coding. I can at least try to help players, or do things as such as looking at CoC for adjustments so people don't 'loophole' or try to say things like "But the GM is breaking the rule that is unfair" etc.

  15. The CoC by definition tells you that if you log onto any of Net-7 Entertainment's systems, you're agreeing to it implicitly. If someone doesn't read the rules, well that's on them, when they violate them it doesn't serve as an excuse.

Of course, I do not know to what abuse you're referring to when you're saying GMs broke rules. What rules did they break? How so? Explain further, you can do so in a PM if you wish.

Read the first line. GM with numbers in names. I'll quote the CoC for you for the rule if you'd like.

Edit: CoC, says in Service of EnB. We are playing 'EnB' is in terms E&A's. If you re-word it to "Service provide by EnB Emu or Net-7 Entertainment" it'd be legit.

Wording in the world is everything.

  16. I'll just mainly point out the naming rule with numbers. It's cool for a GM to be seen as 'unique', but still violates a rule. Why let a GM break a rule, but where if a player did something as such it's the end of the world. Yea yea, blah blah. They help the server, I'd apply as a GM if half the people act like pricks trying to act superior since they know how to read the rules so forth + age etc, they apparently would have little trust in people.

Oh btw, I check the rules a decent bit. As of right now. There is no rule where it says "GM,Dev's etc' may break the rules to do their 'job' or to alias easier etc.

(I literally log on to do trade runs that's about it, while being tabbed out on things. )

Edit: Here is something to think about, since a GM brought this up a thread of mine. He pretty much said we agree to rules that pop up when we log in everytime. So we should follow them, if you read my other thread since I do not feel like quoting the rules right now. Essentially when you agree to those terms and play the Emu. You already broke 1-2 rules off the bat. In which means theory those rules do not exist, or this server should not exist.

Second thing. The CoC is there, but you don't agree to it? Right, yea. You agree to it on the forums, but when playing the game you don't. So in theory when you play the game there are 'no rules'? Since the rules do always agree to are illegitimate since they are already broken even before you hit the agree button.

  17. I didn't play Live for very long - just long enough for my demo key to expire.

My question is, what are all the different ways that Live was different from EnB-Emu?

    Thanks.

    More lag in high bases.

    More people (duh)

    Community about the same.

    More mobs(sorta) cause of V'rix

    Loot was on everything.

    Job's were available.

The PP,JS, TS classes were not avaiable.

    Less 'points/gates/sectors.'

    Less vendors.

Some things still are not in place or working yet on Emu. So live had advantage of all skills work 100% Correctly.

    Mobs were 'smarter'

    Mostly basic stuff.

  18. After 12 CL, Pretty much Scuttle Bugs(20) will do it.

At 18 CL. I liked to farm Chavez/25 Organics/Drones <- Out in Odin (Rex?) I believe. The one with Paramis gate.

At 24 CL. Enjoyed farming 30 Mushroom organics/Chavez.

    At 30 CL. Titan Farming/Higher Mushrooms(Mothers)

At 36 CL. Fishies/40 Grissmon Patrols

    At 42 CL. 50 Fishs/Paramis/50 Patrols.

    At 50 CL. anything I feel like I want to pump with Missiles :(;

BTW 'AT 12 CL, is more like 12-17 etc'
