  1. I'll modify the in-game command list to be curren to the emulator. The list that's in there now is unchanged from live. For those who don't know where to find the command list, I think it's under Help > Slash Commands. (in-game)

Help -> Commands. Added that into post help explain that the commands listed are just ones you dont see in-game through that menu.

  2. having all the slash commands would be an excellent addition to this thread :)

Added, there is a thread, sorta of buried. I copied the commands over, if new ones are added C Del/Mods/Admins etc. Are able to edit more post instead of PMing it to me. Heh.

Edit: These are 'hidden' commands. There is also in-game commands that show in the help bar or w/e. Somewhere in the options.

  3. Posting to let you know, You might have to wait for C Del, Slayer does this also some not 100% sure.

David might be able to help, not sure. Just letting you know, you might just have to wait a little till help strolls around. : ) So you don't get frustrated. Course they also have to look and see if they can find anything before posting to help. Unless it's a issue that has happened before.

(Note, Some of the Dev(s) can help, but not 100% which ones outside of C Del, due to him being one of the main Tech Support people)

  4. Okie Dokie, lets take the lvl 75 jobs, I can do them in about 5 minutes, they give 3750 Explore and 2250 Trade. So thats 6000 per job, of which you can currently take 10, So each run is 60,000xp. with each run taking 5 minutes (and 5 back) thats 360000xp per hour, and for JE's doing the VT jobs, 720000xp an hour. You can do these from lvl 60 all the way upto lvl 150 (with the lvl 105 and 135 jobs giving even more XP). This assumes ideal conditions in regards to their been jobs at the terminal, which you can get if the server is quiet. The original design documents assumed players would earn XP at an average of about 32000XP an hour, thus why I said players are lvling about 10x faster.

Combat XP is still very similar to live, so this is actually slowing people down a little bit, although with spillover at 50% now (it was incorrectly set to 80% before) players can still level combat up faster by doing jobs and trade runs. Lets say we have an OL 100 (TL 50, EL50) doinglvl 75 TL and EL jobs, they would earn 60000 every 10 minutes (2 times that if they have a JE WH'ing them doing VT jobs), with only 30000 of that spilling over into CL. This would equte to a player killing 1 mob of its own CL every 10 seconds, which is a pretty insane killing speed. Which is why so many players currently level up thier combat from trade runs and jobs.

This is why the jobs were going to get capped at 6, because even then, you'd be getting 216000XP an hour on lvl 75 jobs, which is still way more than live (6 times as fast), but people complained saying that it would be too slow....

Unless they changed explore jobs, they use to make me go all over at 75jobs+, unless you get 100% super luck, or the jobs were changed. I doubt anyone can do a full of explore jobs in 5mins, unless extremely lucky and has WH to VT, and a fast engine with points being close. I remember grabbing a job from VT telling me to go to Yokan. If you can do that in 5mins without WH. Props to you, cause that is hacking or exploiting. Not including other points you have to do, that is unless you changed jobs. Which is possible due things change a lot. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure your numbers are based off pure luck of the draw from the terminal or getting a terminal that only gives jobs very close to you which then. I found the problem. Don't put them so close?

    /sarcasmon

    Wish I had your luck.

  5. No problem. I camp these forums pretty heavily, so I tend to see things as soon as they happen, lol.

Pretty Much, I went to bed at 12am, sleep at 12:45ish. I woke up at 9:50am(Alarm), but laid down to stretch and stuff, but didn't wake back up. Was kinda of annoyed when I woke up(5pm). To much sleep can be bad sometimes. ><

I usually camp the forums too, a-lot while playing EnB. Other games, I'll check after each match etc. So from 10-45minutes each checkup and such. Been playing a Low Level JE. Trying to balance some things to 40 then mine to 150. Heh, been testing/playing with the new mining adjustments etc.

If you see fit to add anything feel free to edit though. I'm not opposed it is mainly one of those community guide things/etc where I take suggestions what to add, or add what fits.

  6. I have never seen a GM act inappropriately, but were one to, just report them. We have chat logs for that kind of thing. They really don't have time to answer questions and the like in-game. They're job is really to answer support tickets, so they can use what time they have most efficiently. The ones who go in and talk to players are going above and beyond their duties, and such GM-player interaction is extremely uncommon in the MMO world.

I really haven't seen the problem with New Players that you're talking about. When I'm on, I do my best to help everyone in new players and it seems like others do as well. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by people being removed quickly; there are only three banned players.

In summary, if there's a problem, please report it. We want to have a happy community, but we can't help if we aren't seeing what's going on.

P.S. Yes, I totally agree about CL12-18 mobs.

Removed as in real trolling, or just asked to not say stuff etc in it.(Warnings) Where are in WoW or other major games, they usually stay in there. They don't have to be suspended or anything. Removed in this term means it stops in one way or another. I'll use WoW as a example again, I was in a guild that pretty much removed us from Public Chats/Forums. Unless it was a non-troll response or we were selling something in trade and such forth. I guess I could of used a word like condoned or something. Removed, was just the first word that came to mind.

I'm glad others agree about 12-18. Should be some 15-16CL mobs put some more places in lower areas. (Tip, I like the Nommus at Cygni 61, at Nommus Point. 12,18s, easily farmed on my JD with level3 200% beams, they aren't bad at all. Watch them get nerfed for me saying that though. : P)

  7. Made a JE to mine, and test this new stuff. I noticed in ABA. Gas clouds (solo ones not near roids/carbons) sometimes do not give Clear Bonus when all are gone. (6.3k Scan range on low level JE looking around) I also remember a Dev saying something that the level of the Mining Object has a chance to also give a higher value Ore/Gas etc. Something like 20-25%~. After about 300+ Clouds (ones I made sure and not just mine them without caring) I don't believe I saw it go up any. Wonder if this was reverted or is there a % error/coding bug with it currently!

Mining level 2-5 clouds, but getting 1-4 stuff only is painful though sometimes. : / Overall mining is pretty balanced. Played Father's TS didn't check upper ores though about level thing and stuff/bonus. It was pre-this change + mining updates that have been incoming.

Bold is for TS, JE is after mining change.

  8. havent tried since live... but this button used to build all

    Constants

    NumberOfItemsToManufacture = 60

    MouseMoveDelay = 200

    ManufactureDelay = 1500

    PressManufactureButtonX = 260

    PressManufactureButtonY = 290

    End

    call InitializeMacroing

    Loop $NumberOfItemsToManufacture

    call DoManufacture

    End

    Stop

    Procedure InitializeMacroing

    SetActiveWindow Earth & Beyond

    CommandDelay 250

    Delay 2000

    ObjVar 4

    End

Procedure ClickMouse Using x, y, delaytime

    MousePos $x, $y

    Delay $MouseMoveDelay

    LeftClick

    Delay $delaytime

    End

    Procedure DoManufacture

    call ClickMouse $PressManufactureButtonX, $PressManufactureButtonY, 100

    Delay $ManufactureDelay

    End

Or. Use a simple repeat -fire, or right click button.- then go afk till it is done. >.>

As CDel said, it'd still take awhile on some things.

  9. Just wanted to say that I guess there was a server problem, I'm logged in and doing fine. My question still stands though, what do all those different hosts mean?

Logged in to check. It's very simple.

Play = Public, usually always up.

PTR = Public Test Realm, when available able to test new mobs/graphics before on play server (ie before exploitable things go in, or annoying bugs that get characters debt etc or broken gear)

Dev = Where Dev(s)/Beta Testers/GMs can go to test content not wanted to release to Public just yet, or to test some 'serious' coding.

  10. so whats the special ability this mob is supposed to get to determine whether or not your multi boxing or soloing?

unleash the power of ....."ping!" lol sorry im just trying to make light of it all.

but on that same note more realistically how can the mob determine your multiboxing? versus playing with a friend or family member in the same house under the same external ip?Spencer Pratt

id love to group with people myself but my primary toon is only OL33 or something and most other players i see are well above 60+ OL

Best way is to use General Chat, with slight usage of New Players. If you want explore, once in a while you'll find a higher level miner that is mining for their ammo user to help you out on exp or if they are capped out. Now own level is a little rare, mostly won't find unless in a commonly farmed spot. Though hitting 60OL is possible in around 8hours if force it and have the gear. Many just speed level through it, then try to keep balance afterwards. Plus powerleveling explore/TL makes it easier for you to do combat, due to higher devices/shields/reactors to hold guns up. etc

  11. Does it count that I've only seen 2 GMs that have really helped Publicly?

Then a other acting very ignorant, and not helping anything, but the flood my chat with uselessness. I don't use New Players Chat, no one helps new players there and usually whining over very simple things. Which doesn't help really unless on forums.

Only time I've seen New Players chat, is on father's character. Always the same stuff. Course if they ask on General chat. They'll usually get a tell or a answer or two, unless it's one of those, no one really knows besides devs. (See Item Drops, some)

Personally I hate polls, they are usually set opinions. Opinions of others are usually, not exactly yes or no. True or False. So forth.

To answer the question of the Title, unlike others did.

Yes, I'm happy it's back. Game is alright overall. (Can't say I love it, cause I'm a Player vs Player such a FPS games) It's a relaxing game to come to, with a nice community (usually).

New Players chat is like Trade Chat on WoW sometimes, not as bad cause people get removed quickly on the Emu due to small player base, and itchy remove fingers. I enjoy people complaining about in Market that they aren't talking about buying/selling etc. Though overall. If you REALLY need help. Market is your best bet hands down, maybe outside of forums. It's sad, but true.

(Note Before you read next line, I do make feedback. Sometimes little things, it's feedback. I personally could not care less if things aren't fixed instantly, unless some super major dumb bug.)

People seem to cry about the most littlest things, or do stupid things.

Somebody was asking for 16CL~ ish mobs. (They are terrible to find, and farm. I hate 12-18 so much, 18-24 isn't as bad, but still annoying. Everything else is fine to me)

People just called the person lazy. This is New Players mind you, I happened to be mining for EL with his miner.

I didn't pay much attention due to fact, when I see blue. I ignore it.

I kind of felt bad when going back and reading it, I mean how hard would it to be tell someone. I mean course there IS stuff, but there IS a community. You waste persons time, by telling them they are lazy. When you could of just suggested a spot and been done with it. Then of course other people 'join' in on picking on a NEW PLAYER usually in NEW PLAYERS chat. Course, if a GM is on. >.> I don't see anything said to people playing bullies. Though if they are lightly chatting, WITH NO ONE posting anything in Market, besides maybe once every 15mins. GMs/Devs will instantly try to push them into a chat no-one ever uses. (See OOC Chat)

Community is fine for most part though, I just get annoyed in MMORPGS more then FPSs due to, I stomp people in FPSs, so do others. Where as in a MMORPG you usually help each other instead of trying to murder each other. Heck, even in FPSs people are helpful for most part.

Bolded the TL;DR part of post.

  12. I was sitting on TS listening to music, Blacklung dropped in and said hi cause I was in other channel. <3 Since he cares about people. I already like him as a GM. I just sit on TS because usually majority of my posts are on bugs etc. Or if I find a major bug I can annoy one of the Dev(s) <3. Major as in something really dumb such as inf shield or such. A lot of the Dev(s) hide in the Dev channel though. >.>

  13. I'll be honest, I don't prefer or dislike any of the races or classes when it comes to the development of the emulator, ideally I want all the content to be accessable to everyone (althoguh some may require a little hoop jumping ofcourse). No class should ever be able to solo every mob though, as this prevents the non-combat classes from finding groups to help combat classes. This is why it is so important that a player can never run with infinate reactor or shields, because thats what the non-combat classes are there to privide for the combat classes.

I smell a combat trance nerf and Jenq nerf inc coming then?

Yay let's nerf JDs more dooo it. >.>

  14. Pretty what Jarod said with Longbows, I added them though.

Not sure what Jamo was trying to say though. Dirks/Zets are both fine imo.

Merlin on the Barrier shield, I just forgot to add it, did this at night little before I went to bed and I'm not perfect.

As I stated a lot of these things are just my opinion. Usually in games I get compliments for helping/being skilled (MMOs, On FPSs good luck getting a compliment) So for MMO wise I usually do my number crunching research, test and so on, though that being said I don't know much about PEs anyway besides they have guns. They hit stuff. Kill stuff. Mine stuff.

The engine is eh. Explosive is very easy to get resist wise especially upper levels. I think most players would prefer a lower sig/projectile conservation. Especially if you get Puk's Pride or someone with it. Resists overall aren't big in raids, and easily obtained through devices. PWs pretty much using Pulsing Were/Tanwiha or both. Sometimes NOS. Can't really think of other that you don't equip. Buff self, then take off. And they have lowest device slots.

I liked Josh's post mainly cause I haven't played a PE in current test, neither has Father so haven't seen how things work or don't work.

I think I added everything besides the Engine, due to fact you could also say Dynamo which gives lower sig I believe. Recharge reactor and Impact, Chemical. And buffs speed. (0.9 Sig compared to 3.2 Buny one)I'd recommend at least to newer players getting devices. Usually easy to get built, don't have to farm, and getting good devices can be hard sometimes.

As I'll say, Opinions are opinions. I just want something "NEW PLAYERS" or lesser experienced players have something to go off. I even say in my post opinion, and they'll read comments below post so they can also get a better outlook. So even if you just post, it'll let them see other opinions

  15. So I'd a guide, kind of all three since majority of things are similar. Such as Guns, I want to start with Progens first, before doing others. Cause overall I'd like to help people because a better community so when you group with a 'newbie' they'll have the stuff a veteran player has (least lower levels.) And a basic understanding of what is good to grab, and not that great to have at lower levels.

So going to start off with Gear then add-on slowly. All posts that are helpful to adding to guide. I'll +1, and add credits to at end. : )

Big Note: Opinions, You can do whatever you want. This just gives you something to base off if you have no idea what you are doing or what to get.

    Gear:

    Shields:

LvL2: Scales, Vendor Bought Progen with High Basically. Recommended: Falkirk.

LvL3: Scales, Progen Shields. Recommended: Waterloo, Falkirk

    LvL4: Waterloo, Falkirk, Lexington

    LvL5: Lexington, Falkirk, Waterloo

    LvL6: Waterloo, Lexington, Normandy

LvL7: Normandy, Lexington, Barrier of Ooze.

LvL8: Deadly Barrier, Normandy, Barrier of Slime Eight

LvL9: CFB, Normandy are both great starters. CFB being pretty much amazing and matches/beats most Raid Shields. (Opinion)

    Reactors:

    LvL2: Nero

    LvL3: Nero

    LvL4: Nero

    LvL5: Nero, Theodosius

    LvL6: Warrior's Heart, Julius, Theodosius

    LvL7: Warrior's Heart, Julius, Theodosius

    LvL8: Warrior's Heart, Julius, Theodosius

LvL9: Warrior's Heart, pretty much great good starter till Heart of Master. Julius, (This is for range, good for people without conservation device, so forced to use Puk's or Reaver, or if not using a BB. More later etc)

    Engines:

    LvL2: The Range Boosting Engine

LvL3: Range boosting Engine or Solar Sail

LvL4: Range Boosting Engine or Solar Sail

    LvL5: Puk's Wing

    LvL8: Blackspeed

Pretty much engines are mostly junk. Range boosting is best, especially if you can get a energy conservation device. I skipped rest because it's best to leave engine at 5 because you can get lvl4 SS and Puk's Wing. Only 2 you'll use till Blackspeed at 8. (Opinion, but what pretty much everyone does) Lvl4 SS is useful for FB due to 0 Sig. And getting a Zenshai Nav Comp lvl5 Device is very helpful to lower sig paired with Jenq using their Musca/Pleaisa? to lower it a other 25% so you don't get the attention of everything when you instantly walk it (aka Master).

    Notable Devices:

LvL5: Ward of Living Stone, Zenshai Nav Comp

    LvL6: Steingard, Ward of Muck

LvL7: CVE, Ivory Ward, Harnessed Voltoi Spirit

LvL8: Plague's Bite, NOS, Golden Tooth, Pulsing Bullywere, Ebony Ward

Guardians(For PPs Shield Charging) (Not 100% if the thing even works the passive yet)

Pretty much. Things with Shield Cap and Resists. Pavis is a really good one a lot do Explosive. Targe, I see plasma common to. I can't think of energy one. If someone can give you levels of the 2 Wards(Resists) I'll add. Combat Trance Devices are good for PWs also. Then course mining devices/Harpy combo for PEs mining.

    Weapons

    LvL2: Musket, Crossbow

    LvL3: Musket, Crossbow

LvL4: Musket, Crossbow, Claymores(Think thats it)

LvL5: Rifles, Dirks, Longbows(Note Longbow ammo can be a pain to PM)

    LvL6: Rifles, Mortars, Dirks, Longbows

LvL7: Rifles, Mortars, Dirks, Longbows, Slime Cannon(Not a great DPS gun, good on ammo and gives projectile range)

LvL8: Rifles(oh god the ammo), Mortars, Longbows, Zets(great for ammo), Claw of The Dragon(pretty much a must have), Silver Hammer, Graveroober's Scythe

LvL9: Archos with Claw is standard till you get raid loot or BB weapons. Reaver's you can get from SneakyPW, Guardian of Observation Nav 1. He gives some/sells them every few days. (He gets his own title because of Icepick(Believe is main name))

    Skills:

    Listing of Pretty Much Grab.

    Critical Targeting

    Projectile Skill

    Shield Sap(PW)

    Prospect(PE)

    Shield Charging(PP)

    Negotiate(PP)

Gravity Link(PE/PW)*LvL5 (ONLY, if you plan on kiting or using Impact gives impact debuff at 5. After that not that great to level) (Also if you get Tatsu's, don't work about this unless you kite)

Shield Inversion(PW/PP)* (Don't Level This Really, unless you void building. Very helpful for grinding rep/low mobs without using ammo)

    Reactor Tech

    Shield Tech

Device Tech (For PP, not sure if you'll need 8 quickly, not sure if any devices. PEs get mining/golden tooth, 7 for PEs good till later if you get a HVS for mining. PWs Plague's Bite. You can get NOS I guess, Props to someone that can help here<3)

Engine (Pretty much LvL5 is where you stop for reasons said in Engine section.)

HDC(PW) (Decent, if you don't grab any Gravity Link, Shield Inversion, and plan on being on a Raid Tank, very useful for raid tanking, or just not dying)

Repair Equipment* (I instantly up this skill after 150. To at least 5, because you'll need it raids. Max is great for raids)

Build Weapons (PW/PP) (If you don't have someone always making you ammo, helps A LOT) (Note PEs. I'd level Explore/TL most just cause you can't build ammo which kind of sucks for you)

Jump Start (PE) (Good for raids, reducing debt for others, (and self for now? I believe))

Repulsion Field (PE) (Supposely Buggy, Can be useful/Can hurt)Don't bother with Repulser Field (RF) for now. It's very bugged. 1) You cannot apply the the current level you have to other players unless they are at the same EL level as when you get that upgrade of the skill. Other wise you have to use the lower versions on them. 2) The feedback damage is too high and is reported to the mob from the RF - not you, so you can easily loose kill credit on a mob and get no XP or loot. (Comment from JoshuaChr)

Combat Trance (PW) (Read each level, if you still don't understand. Pretty much Inf Reactor, High Resists at later levels and resist for lower levels)

    ?? >< ??

    Tips:

Shield Sapping early if Mobs don't do high damage helps. Shield Sap does 31-33% of their shield(MAX) or half your shield(Unless it exceeds 31-33% of their shield)

Shield Inversion maxed out allows you to farm rep quickly and for others. Or clear someone to be JS'd or just have a light show/more damage if you aren't tanking in raids. (Note Can't Shield Sap with SI on)

Powerdown is good for mining only toons (Note didn't list above, if you mine only and don't raid might be worth getting over say Repulsion Field)

If you are running away from a mob, you can do a loop and it'll fire while in upper of loop and on way down. A interesting way to kite.

Ammo is painful, if you use different guns try to find a balance of how much ammo you go through.

Using a Terran Weapon (Claymores/Dirks/Zet) In one of your slots helps for speed. Though if you have a speed increase, no need unless you rather conserve on ammo.

    Discussion of End Game:

CFB is great due to high crit. Especially for PWs who can hit 100% with it on at 200%.

Though JD's and TE's give crit buffs when in group with higher rally and JD's group bonus.

Now I do not know %'s or if they do give them. I have not tested.

So till Dev's can compare %'s if they are at least 5% combined. In raids PWs could use a other shield if they have a 200% Archos for 100% and to have a other buff. Note you lose combat trance, so helps if you have a 200% lvl8 Combat Trance Device, or Julius, (Something with a high Combat Trance buff) for PWs to keep resists/reactor recharge up. Though with Animal Skins + TT Buff. TE you might not really need it. + with JD Energy thing (if it works) and JEs(JTs).

    Weapon Line Up:

Spitter, Archos, Archos, Archos, Archos, Archos (or Bile in place of Archos) (1 BB Gun is nice for buffs, if you need range/reactor/shield regen. As in below you get damage covered, and hopefully conservation from a device, if not Puk's wing outside raid, and maybe a Reaver if you don't have a device inside raid, which you can replace Heart for Julius, WH)

Shield: CFB(Raid Shield see above, though PS/PP might keep for extra damage/buffs)

Reactor: Heart of Master (Covers 30% Damage)

Engine: Puk's Wing, Lvl4 SS, Black Speed.

Devices: Passive Buffs. Usually resists, or base recharge such as Blood Devices, or Debuff Devices, Conservation so forth. Equipment Installing is good if you got a spot for it + Speed. AND 100% sure in raids Nav Comp(unless Blackspeed engine)

Note didn't list FoTM or anything though nice buffs. Archos pretty much do highest dps, behind bile. Then of course Spitter is #1.

If you can't get a Spitter, use FoTM if you get it, instead of CotD since FoTM does more DPS though harder ammo comps.

For End Game People: Make Friends with a Miner (Unless you are PE) cause you'll need ores for your ammo! : )

Disclaimer: Guide will be little disorganized, might be flamed, I did miss stuff. Hopefully community effort, Most of these are my OPINIONS. So don't get your panties in a bunch over it, most things are based off pure numbers/experiences. Hopefully I got the Terran weapons names right.

Enjoy Flaming me, or Adding help. Cause if you flame, I'll just ignore it. It's how the internet works. If it's criticism on a spot with good opinions I'll read of course.

  16. This is quite relevant when it comes to leveling, since most item upgrades came every 10 levels or so, if a player can grinf away 10-12 levels a day, then getting the next new item isn't quite as magical, since you barely have time to enjoy your gear before it needs replacing again.

I believe in what Kenu said. In WoW I enjoyed beginner dungeons, and the amount of areas. Course nothing to much like that in EnB till higher levels. Mobs act all the same till around 40s. Some mobs don't even drop anything. Example is Evil Plants on Swooping Eagle planet. They drop 2 non-sellable items a lot. And rarely other things outside of the amazing item Musca. Where as the Nommus drop fair share of stackable. Least 1 stackable item per kill, then cat paws/beams very rare occasion.

I also quoted equipment part, because reactors don't change any look. Shields, engines don't yet or never did. Devices don't weapon do. And how things work, is since there is a set of best equipment for each level not a variety you can go 40-50 levels with same looking guns.

Ex: White Dragons lvl2-4s etc. Foxs 4-6s?

Same with rifles. You get the point.

Nothing changes till pretty much after 30-50 levels.

What I'd like to see. A form of raid for lower levels. Say you can't use this gate if over OL 80.

Mobs are elites. (Say just make them mobs that have a double exp or modifer on them, but have higher hp and do more damage, but not over doing it) allowing groups to go in there. And say at nav points after killing 20-30 mobs(that don't respawn till all killed which I'll explain in a sec) then a Boss spawns. You can kill boss discuss/ give loot. Then about 5-10 mins later NPCs start to spawn.

Now due to coding now. It is harder to do, or problematic, but if it is fun. Might be worth leveling. I like grouping and over-coming something I can't do myself.

I'd also like drop only non-tradable/non-craftable to drop in places. THAT IS BETTER THEN CRAFTABLE. Not just buffs, but dps. Cause buffs just aren't worth it sometimes. And a lot of harder drops, non-craftables. Suck compared to player made. Which are easy to make, and for examples Rifles and White Dragons/Orange Beams etc which are top dps of their level, but Rifles have only Plasma, then beams are energy, but then mortars and just use dirks etc. Which are all buyable. Which doesn't change. I mean. Yay fun, next level I get to sit next to a vendor and buy dismantle build till 200%. In which looks the same as my other beam and fires the same laser or proj.

In there was variety in lower levels, it might be enjoyable to do.

Incase and point. It isn't. Mobs 'auto fire' nothing till higher levels, most items can be bought that you need besides rare few, but server has or VERY easy to farm. AND is tradable.

Pretty you can use WoW in example. You get better loot from harder things and they aren't tradable besides the few VERY rare 0.1% drops that are tradable. Now I don't want you to use that as a example to make good loot 0.1% or anything, cause its dumb. You'd level probably before it dropped and wouldn't really be able to use it. Though I know several Dev(s) have thought of these things (Kyp for one), so I'm repeating what you probably have heard, but till there is something worth doing at lower levels don't touch exp besides balancing the 3. (Explore sucks, combat is okay. Trade is amazingly high at low levels(trade runs) then at higher levels without negotiate make people cry especially PWs, but allows you to watch movies I guess right? Instead of playing game. Trade Exp from mobs is okay. If Trash Drops were more balanced between mobs instead of mainly organics, though Chazez or decent to.)

I could say more, but I'd like to play the game too! :)

  17. (I blame WoW for peoples obsession with having to get capped ASAP)

I don't really like bashing Suricata, or any person directly. Maybe criticism, but yea.

    Pretty example.

It took me 1 week to 80 on a alt in WoW. Approx play time 3 days.

For my uncle it took 2 months. Approx play time 13 days.

What is the difference? I pretty much worked my butt off each day of the week to stay focused for large amounts of time. I'm also a far better player them him at the game (this game doesn't have a skill cap really, you press fire all then a skill and win. maybe a debuff or a 2. I mean the game overall has a low skill cap). Balancing things around hardcore gamers hurt the casual all in all just to say the least.

8-12 hours(Pretty much everyday) vs 2-4 hours(4 days a week on average, maybe less depending on how casual)

I notice a lot of casuals. Not as many hardcore, but there are some.

Just to let you know, I can't really play this game more then 6 hours. Or I start to feel like I'm not doing anything. Right Click Target. Hit F. Loot. Target Next. Hit F. Loot. Repeat till 150 or I sit afk as a miner mines or I do trade runs( which 2/3 of my toons are 50 TL so it doesn't matter and I dont plan on doing to many on my JD cause I'm going to 'cheat' and dual box mine him, while combating in certain areas I've found.)

Pretty much game should be slightly balanced around casuals. In which just play time casually playing. This game DOES NOT have a high skill cap to play at all. Unlike comparing it to WoW. Where you can really notice a good player from a bad.

PW: Bad players can hit F, follow players guides to best gear, and hit shield spam/inversion. Good players do same thing, but might have slightly better timing on it.

This game even has form so the good player can drive and make decisions while others buff/hit F(fire all) or heal.

  18. Hello,

Now to the point, I purpose either setting the spill over to 100% or 0%.

    Merlin

As long as explore still got spillover, or re-vamped for non-explorers. Then I could probably deal with this. Though pure combat going from 0 to 50 CL farming organics/stackables. Will net you TL 40 at best, maybe 35. By time 50 TL (if no spillover at time) I'd have 20-30 levels in CL if not more unless I did trade runs, but I can't find any good series to watch to do them as a non-negotiate class.

(Currently leveling JD Alt, waiting till 25 EL to even learn cloak. 0.4k Sig is good enough for me, at OL60 I could probably get 0.2k,0.1k with a lvl4 SS, Baka, Musca. <3 Being able to sit next to NPCs is great like a built in all time cloak. Now only if I could tell where they were. I'm going to go emo trying to use combat cloak due to the NPC placement bug. x_x; )

  19. Although I'm sure some people are very happy with been able to cap multiple charactors with every skill, its not a very healthy thing long term for the game, more so when the game still hasn't got proper endgame content yet, so there really is no need to race to 150! (I blame WoW for peoples obsession with having to get capped ASAP)

    Leveling in this game.

CL: Sit in a spot with good re-spawns, not overly aggressive NPCs. Then bot, macro, or play the game and kill them OVER and OVER. Then go back to base to sell/get ammo. Go back, kill same mob due to be good place to kill. Which also allows you to only by one set of gear.

EL: Spillover or Mine. In rare case of low levels do some jobs. Unless you really have a peeve of getting up explore or OL. Then Jobs, which are go to point a, plant thing, go to a base for new explore. Pretty much like trade runs, but to Nav points.

TL: Go back and forth to a base a lot. Farm organics, stackable loot while farming CL to "TRY" to keep balance on it. Usually as before in CL. Same spot. Less gear needed. Close to base. Predictable drops.

After Max, or close with 9/8 equip maxed, 140+ basically.

You can farm rare drops easier. Allows you to ANYWHERE pretty much and explore. Allows you to help others more. Allows you to test higher NPCs usually suppose to be harder. Raids. Cooler equipment. More variety on gear since you know you'll not replacing it anymore pretty much. Allows you to goof off more(Opinion, you can at lower levels to, but you still need to level for skills where after 140+ you have the good skills, rest are mostly fillers.) Personally WoW did a good job with must be capped thing. Leveling is not fun at all besides maybe FPSs to a extent, but even in those being max gives you more stuff to mess with which is why max level is best.

You may be able to say. "Oh, but you can do other stuff." Though it isn't efficient, and also causes imbalances of levels usually with friends. Where if your 150, your friends are 150. It doesn't change drastically allowing you group up and do something. Instead of say a 130 PW with a 100 TE friend could unless same CL, but the PW might feel gimped with TE cause TE would be at risk of mobs (as if lolhitting forward is hard) its just a example. Max Level in any game. Allows things to be more balanced. Since you are basing it off everyone has same level, pretty much max skills. Only gear difference.

Edit: Trade Runs are lols. Doing them to 50 on my JD last stress test/wipe thing. I managed to finish 4 Anime Series. If it goes to where it takes 2 days for a level pass 30. Probably just going to play COD more. I don't like the same mob for 2 days straight, but I neither like being un-efficient. Plus, finding a good spot is rare. That is why I hate leveling from 15 to 18 CL. There is rarely any spots unless you farm things with no stackables.

Edit 2: For miners, they literally have to farm pretty similar mines, due to huge exp decrease trying to do ones under what their explore level, unless fixed, but I don't believe so. Pink clouds and rocks for 2 days.

  20. I just signed up with another site and started playing the game and there were only like 4 people on so my question is are there a lot of people on your server?

I played the Live version from day 1 until it got shut down so I am excited to be able to play again.

    Let me know thanks.

If you click on the EnB Emu, next to Forum tab. It brings you to the portal and shows in corner how many are currently on. Average I'd say 200 on most of time.

  21. Ouch...We work very hard to try and balance things out. Sometimes things get broken, but we have a VERY small dev team...unlike WOW and many other games, and they still get it wrong. It is very hard to work on an MMORPG.

I know the Devs work a good bit on this game, but from what I've seen, understood (since direct answers are rare-ish) is that most content is placed on Dev server to make sure nothing completely breaks.

I'll use for Example, this is the 3rd or 4th time Ten-gu have gotten Gravity Link. In each of those times, they completely eliminate engines till re-installed or logout. The bug tends to happen with lower ends, or lower thrust speed.

Then currently some buff don't always work 100% of time when you use it. Warrior's Heart, Steingard, Kraken, RR(not +) to name a few I tested/used some. They just don't apply sometimes, sometimes they do. Then with WH it uses the CD and Shield, but doesn't give reactor. I mean, How can items that should be commonly used get slipped through the Dev server.

I'm all for the Devs. I just dislike that 'simple' things which should be easily noticeable before transferring code or whatever you want to call it. Personally I told Kyp I might try to be become a Beta Tester, but the team has gotten so tight. I don't think I'd want to waste time to get a no.

Also the HDC comment from the One Dev, and other things. I myself report things. The HDC thing probably would be non-noticeable because most players wouldn't let their hull get hit in first place unless "one-shotable" NPCs.

Currently Summon can freeze mobs and they won't turn when summoned. (About 1% chance after about 300 mobs, got 3 like that, but they would attack TT then after summoned they wouldn't do anything)

Another thing that came out, or might not have is if you have low sig, but buff yourself near aggressive mobs though out of range for them to see, they'll come to you. Not 100% if its if a other player is there, or just anytime.

Btw, Especially on the HDC Comment. WHY, would you not test the numbers to see if it even works? It's like giving them a skill, then saying it might work, but haven't psyhically tested. Which is very easy to test. Go to mob, have them get to hull, see average hits with a TT/JT with Hullpatch around. Then add points slowly, see if each level does its job till you get max. It'd take me about 20 minutes to fully test a PW or less to see if skills are possibly exploited.

I like the Team and all. It's just I try to play and help in my free time when not trying to competitive (lolPvP). It just boggles my mind how some people agree. Let's go through with it! Then things are painful for players for few days, course some don't even want to play at that point to even test things. I mean, Personally. If I had to log out every time to kill a Ten-gu or loot it when I need to farm for looted Archos. I'd rather do something else.

I like being honest, I mean stuff happens and so on. I like generally most of the team, but I like to give feedback, be overly critical or what.

All in and all. I would say good job on the game.

Usually when you want feed back, you only get the bad side of things. You don't want me telling you Critical targeting works perfect! I mean, it crits. That's what it does, it has the 100%, but I could tell you CFB is overpowered because PWs get 100% crit, and using any other gear won't get you 100% making it by far the best DPS shield in game pretty much.

    <3

Edit: To person that said GMs frontline thing, I don't think I've seen about any GM posts, besides the rare few on classes or reporting things and such. I don't report usually to GMs, due to I don't care what others do (chat, abuse etc) it's just a game for me. As long as they don't exploit something I find stupid (1 shotting mobs or something, etc) The main GM post I can think of, is ######'s post (censored cause I don't want to call them out) telling someone who was suspended they can do w/e if they find fit, no need for warnings I can remove if you break a 'rule' in this case, I believe they used the "d" word (not using word, because I'd get 100 tells from over-zealous people) in which it was used in hate. I believe they died or something, or failed a item. I can't remember. The post kind of made be upset due to the GM was acting like he could do w/e.

Edit 2: If you are Shy/Want to see seem, I don't mind relating discussions for people. In feedback threads, I give feedback, not praise. In praise threads(good fixes or adds) I praise. How I roll.

Edit 3 cause I don't like making new posts: If you need information on something feel free to ask me for my Xfire. Always on it, going to try and be on TS more. I try not to drown my posts with bugs, previous bugs. Happens outside of examples and such. I try to report, but I don't want to stress someone out by PMing them 30 bugs in one go.

  22. Does it matter? Do the polls really reflect the general player populations’ desires? Do these polls only reflect what the 10% or so that actually come to the forums desire? I would feel much better about polls if they came from the Devs or GMs, at least that way we could at least think some changes or what we suggest will get some consideration.

Don't refer to GMs, They mostly do testing/tickets overall from my understanding. Good Luck getting a Dev to do a poll about 'content' they are usually very quiet about it, then just go "Okay, I'm bored lets upload this content." then a week or 2 later they end of up nerfing it due to much, made it very hard due to low player base. Or just to many bugs (such a engine not coming back on from ten-gu)

My favorite bug this patch. Some of the buffs from devices/shields/reactors work only 50/50. I casted Steingard on my TT earlier today, it managed to fail and no buff.

Edit: I believe at most of time content wise I see is 'bug' fixes coming up. Or Bykahee or w/e posting of incoming mission updates to Progen.
