  1. Sabine Reclaimers tended to be a pop-roid mob from what I remember.

    As pop=roids are not in game, neither are these reclaimers.

    Gonna have to disagree with ya there, Sabine Reclaimers are ships and I don't recall ever having a ship pop out of a roid only organic mobs, also they are looking for the lvl 60 variety and I don't recall ever having seen anything higher then 50 pop from a roid.

To answer your question no it probably wouldn't kill the game, likewise equal cargo size for all archetypes wouldn't kill the game nor would Power down and Repulsor Field being changed so they are actually useful skills kill the game. Unfortunately changes like these are not likely to come for a long time if at all so we might as well just all consign ourselves to enjoying the game for what it is, that's what I have done anyway.

  3. Since your adding a useful buff the the CFB for PP's how about changing that useless +powerdown buff for PS's to something nice? And please don't tell me about how Powerdown is great for going AFK because that statement, while true, is just fail. PS's don't want or need an AFK skill and we don't want or need buffs on items that add to the effectiveness of our AFK skill. So how about some +Menace on that bad boy seeing as there is not a single items in game to my knowledge that adds to the effectiveness of Menace.

  4. I never understood the reasoning behind the negative effects on L5, 6, and 9 devices. In fact I don't recall there ever being a given reason as to why they have negative effects there seems to be no rhyme or reason too it. There are also some weapons, engines, shields, and reactors that have negative effects as well for no apparent reason though the devices seem to have by far gotten the worse of the random negative effects. And yes there are a few L9 devices that don't have negative effects but they are almost exclusively loot only, unique, non manu. Who wants to spend 8 skill points plus huge sums of money upgrading to level 9 devices when they are only slightly better in terms of buffs to level 8's, have significant negative attributes, and are much harder to get to 200% quality then the level 8's? Only way this PS is upgrading to L9 is if I get a few good unique L9 devices.

  5. Some decent ideas here but a few problems I noticed. Several of the class's couldn't upgrade the items and use them due to racial/class limitation's, no L9 reactors for PS/TS, no L9 shields for JD etc. Perhaps if items were tailored to each class on a case by case basis. Also it seems, to me at least, that extra weapon slots would be much preferable to extra device slots, as a PS I already have 5 device slots and I just don't see a use for more. Five slots is enough for all my essential devices and it only take a few seconds to swap in devices for activated buffs and swap them back out. And the poor JE's can you imagine 8 device slots and only 1 weapon? any JE that would find that useful?

  6. I have been doing most of my mining lately in 61 Cygni where the roids are more clustered like in live rather then in the ring formations that many fields are in now. I personally prefer the random cluster formations FAR FAR more then the rings, I like being able to warp over to a cluster and mine 4 or 5 roids without having to move at all then warp to another cluster and repeat I hate having to constantly thrust from one roid to the other. And besides the rings are so artificial, they just look terrible.

  7. AH has already been suggested many time's and it probably wont happen because it would most likely require major tinkering with the client. As for non explorer's being able to mine...that's just a horrible idea. What should be done is exp for mining should be reworked in such a way that it is worth it for people to be grouped with miner while they are mining.

    1. too many ores in fields leads to full cargo holds

    2. slow respawn timer after clearing roids fields

    3. roid field having to be cleared before roids respawn

    4. too low explore exp

    is that it?

    Only things I could think to add to that are high level mobs being in low-mid level fields, the reintroduction of "pop roids" (or not I hated them anyway heh), and fixed hulk drops.

  9. The mission is exactly the same as it was in live so it's not quite fair to blame current dev's for the way it is. However you are right, it is a truly horrible mess of a mission and could use a serious overhaul. And while the reward is nice in my opinion it is just not worth it, I mean I started the mission at 30 and finished it at 38 having done no extra combat, trade, or exploration other that that required to finish the mission. Also there is no way for the Progen to skip this one and just pay for the hull, you HAVE to do it.

  10. Wow that looks great nice job Trekker. Personally I would LOVE to see a wider variety of icons for items, I mean look at how many components and ore's share the same dozen or so icons. Maybe you could start someone like Trekker off designing a whole new slew of icons from the ground up or something like that see how that goes and move up from there.

  11. JE, PS and TS gain that interesting ability to get continually Explore XP when everyone else may have to farm new players on tours!

    The miner classes were the medics really.

    With the Seeker being the Jenquai Trader class it was obvious that they would get the ability to build Reactors, this being the build that Jenquais rely on the most, the 'ammunition' for their beams!

    Is it now that there is competition to building reactors from 2 other classes that is the perceived problem? Trader classes are here to supply the rest, and there is a break on the monopoly of the Terran Trader too.

    JE, PS and TS move from being build classes to going to be the mining / medic classes, and still will have some of the most unique and demanding skilsl in the game. Wormhole will be always requested

    I don't see how anyone could call the the Explorer's the "medic class" I mean the 2 pure healing skills in the game are shield recharge which is trader only and hull patch which of the explorer's only the TS get. Sure there is jump start but to call explorers "medics" based on jump start alone is just not right, on the other hand if TT's lost hull patch and PS's and JE's were given hull patch and all 3 were given repair equipment then sure Medic would be a fitting title.

    Back to topic, it's sad, dare I say wrong, that the best way to earn explorer experience is by touring people. This need's to change, if experience for mining was dramatically increased then you might start to see mining group's, much like combat groups, form which you hardly ever see now and which was also very uncommon in live. If you could have say 3 or 4 miners in a group with the rest non miners and be earning explorer experience at an equivalent rate mining as you could with a full group doing combat then I believe you would see touring disappear become a thing of the past.

  12. Yeah that's what the Progen need another quest to travel half way across the galaxy do something that takes 2 minuets then turn right back around and go back where you started. Sorry im just not a big fan of these kind of quests which the Progen especially seem to have an over abundance of, forgive my ignorance but how many Jenquai skill quests require a 26 jump trip to complete?

In combat the PP may be the better offensive trader, which is only to be expected, but the TT is superior at combat support with hull patch and shield charging, of course hull patch was originally slated for the TS class only so maybe the TT's outta lose it :rolleyes: So we can agree that the TT is the superior crafter and it's fair to say the TT is the superior support class in combat and that it has the upper hand when it comes to trade runs. I see nothing left to argue about on this subject, its clear that TT's are a strong class and need no buff's whether direct or by proxy by nerfing the other traders, whew! glad we could get that outta the way ;)
