  1. I still think higher level mobs from a faction should come with greater rewards in faction. Make it where there is like a L65 mob that is pretty tough to take down, so it would take a full group to do... and give it a decent respawn rate, and make it give like +50 faction per kill to the whole group when it died.

This would be an interesting and fun way to let players grind faction together and have a little fun doing it. Compared to sitting there idly killing baby mobs one at a time for +1 faction, at least. The faction reward/respawn rate should be calibrated to be at least a little faster faction gain than farming a cloud of low level mobs at +1 each.

  2. Homeboy the titan's heart offers more like an 18% buff which is still great, and a bullywere eye which now drops can debuff plasma...

I personally think Terrans actually have it the best always because of their speed paired with their 360 degree firing arc...

Yeah I've got some reactor problems that an Intent for the Resolute would do wonders to clear up, and a Hellbore would be cool... but both of these items were exclusive and not super easy to get in live. People that argue about this being a stress test, sure it is but that just means we're testing the server, it doesn't mean ubers should be handed out like candy. But to say Terrans aren't being treated well right now is ridiculous. Terrans in this game have the most versatility when it comes to what they can pull off, just because of kiting and the ability to almost never take damage if you do it right.

The Jenquai just last week got the Devastating Gaze fixed, which only leaves all the great jenquai gear that the mordana dropped in live, and possibly the devs fixing the coma device in the future so it works like live. Also I'd much rather take on asteroid field guardians with a progen or a terran explorer...

When someone told me Kuei station was spawning, I was excited to get my Hellbore. I never participated in any of the gm/dev contests for one because I like the feeling of earning each piece of gear. I headed out to Aragoth Prime and got to see a couple bases drop, but when I found out it was a gm spawning the base, I watched for a bit and then I left. I'll wait until the devs implement the base properly and balance it in a way that is (hopefully) going to require a proper raid to take down.

  3. Well Riia while it may be true to live, the thing about live was they didn't have wipes and they had a player economy that was out of control (in their eyes.)

A lot of the decisions the devs made towards the end of live were attempts to try and influence this economy and move it back to a place they wanted it to be. Their ideas for this were making building harder and making the new cool weapons cost a lot to feed ammo into. "Credit Sinks" is the term for these decisions that revolve around the idea of cracking down on the immense amount of credits people can get in end-game.

While I do agree, it sucks to feed ammo into the gun when it costs that much, I still think this stress test economy can handle it. Anyone who is using Level 9 weapons has many easy ways to get cash, even now. I'm sure if you figured out just how much it cost you to create a half-hold of ammo, went to The Controller Project in Paramis and killed the CL55s (or plenty of other cash farming spots) until you ran out of ammo, and sold all the L9 devices and stuff they dropped, you'd come out on top. Still, this assumes that you WANT to farm boring, easy targets with high-value drops. I know that I personally have been spending a lot of time and most of my ammo firing at targets that don't really pad my credit balance very much, but are more fun to hunt and drop things I need/want for guild members, so it's not very fair to assume we all hunt for credits.

Pretty much it's so easy to get credits in this game that 150 mill is chump change, plus that's 240 stacks of ammo... that's gonna last you a while, easily enough time to recover all of that and then some.

I could go either way with it. It's easy to get credits, but in my eyes the players shouldn't be punished like they were in live for the state of the economy either. Basically I said both sides of an argument and didn't pick a side, good for me, I didn't get much done here. :)

  4. One thing I've noticed about debuffing that contradicts how things worked in live is a lack of failure. I can debuff aren'zael the master CL66 with a L5 Rada... it works every time. In live, probably 9/10 attempts or more would fail, a L9 chim would have better success rate...

Also if I'm not crazy, the debuff device used up reactor regardless of if the debuff was successful. I actually really liked this feature and hope it comes back.

  5. I remember doing the RD base in live with my guild, and I definitely remember we did SOMETHING so those that didn't want to take the massive faction hit didn't have to, dunno if it was relogging before the base went down or what, but there was definitely some easy way to avoid taking the faction hit from it in live, I just can't recall.

  6. I know in live ea didnt mind trade macro's does that goes for the emu as well? And if so where could i find one

...what makes you say ea didn't mind them? They were against the EULA, they banned people caught using them and even started using in-game countermeasures to prevent faction farming macros and such..

  7. Lol guys u just gotta know where to look for hulks with good items.

I found a spot that has good stuff in em.

    They are out there.

I have looted a Tac 8 from (actually more then once. :) )

And it's not just Progen stuff in there :)

All i can say is go out and "Explore" lol.

Yes you can get tac8s in moto from hulks

but who really cares, the tac8 is pretty much obsolete these days

  8. I'd say to draw attention to yourself when you die, switching on your dorito should be a lot more effective than asking for JS over channels, simply because when an explorer has only your name, they have 17 other players huddled nearby

the one flashing orange is always easy to find

    :)

  9. im glad someone got one of those , there was 3 God beams Floating , hard to beleive , but eveyone in there already had one , ( even there alts had one ). lol

it seems the FOTT, AotM and Smit fury drop like candy but Smiter's Wrath is a very rare drop , 2 in the last 6 FB Events during the last week...( another reason for Terran's to be a lil upset ) . :D

the way i understood it was that the mobs would be more difficult BUT the Loot would be more plentifull , hmmmm...

Last pub raid me and Cia did, Smiter's Wrath dropped 3-4 times in two hours, but only 1 FotM

    so I dunno B)

  10. yes I agree Jenquai need some love... once the story advances to the mordana phase we will have a legit place to raid for drops of the defender's doumaru, the veiled oyoroi, the ghost's edge, the defender's pride... as well as crimson force barrier, the vulture reactor, and if the devs feel we are worthy of such fine toys, the CL33 mordana philosopher that dropped the device to summon the ascendant voltoi raid mobs in dahin

I have faith we will eventually have the Intent for the Resolute and the Aspiration of the Faithful :)

  11. I do a lot of building, I feel like the analyze terminal works just fine. I do hate the endless retry thing where you're stuck on the machine for a while but otherwise I think it works as it should.

It makes me feel like I'm actually pretty lucky, considering how many important maps I didn't mess up :)

  12. yeah while it sounds GREAT in theory, part of the greatness of the game is that there are things you can find... and within reason you could be the only person who knows about them

I've also heard about prospectors being VERY secretive on good spots... really the only thing you can do is get out there and look =/

  13. not correct, DG is dropping. EoD i must have a look into, don't know atm.

Edit: Eye of Destruction isn't dropping atm.

Someone remembers where he dropped in live?

Could it be it was BBW?

    greets

    Hexergirl

Will be looking for a DG to drop in the future, but will be taking this post with a grain of salt until I can confirm it with my own eyes.

Fairly sure the EoD dropped from Nesshix the Hand, who has been removed from the Fish Bowl.

  14. one person may be making 100 stacks of ammo and be out of range to add to a grp bonus...

what does group bonus have to do with anything? I was suggesting using group so you could get 6 guild officers together in a group where only those 6 people are privvy to the guild chat... exp bonus has nothing to do with it, the group is solely for the officer meeting... you can be grouped with someone across the game world and still talk to them, so I have no idea why group bonus range even matters, it's not pertinent to this subject, rather it is a total digression.

I'm suggesting that if your officers have something important to talk about, you guys can drop what you're doing and have your discussion. If it's really that important, you can stop what you're doing for the sake of whatever is so important in your guild. I'm sure whoever you were grouped with will be fine with "hey guys, I have to go afk for 5-10 minutes" or "hey guys, I have to go take care of some guild business real quick" and a polite asking if they would be willing to save your spot.

Basically, I think if this feature is even considered it should be back-burnered in favor of things that are far more important. This issue has a few ways to get around it, either via messenger programs outside the game, or figuring out something that works inside the game. I also think there are only a few guilds out there currently who really could use this, most are small enough I think the group solution works fine. Personally, I discuss things pretty openly in my guild chat..

  15. the only thing that pops into my head here are terrans maxing their RD faction and then farming drones and using the extra negotiate to make billions of credits

but that's not to say I don't like the ideas, I actually really do think they sound nice.

I also feel faction gain/loss should have more options. There should be missions that scale in difficulty and reward, and I also feel higher level mobs should effect faction more so than lower level mobs of the same faction. If it doesn't matter whether you're shooting a L5 or a L45 Chavez, you get +-2 faction no matter the level, then everyone just farms the low ones for hours, potentially pissing off newbies.

Ideally, players should have the option to do missions and mobs that are suitable challenges for their character's level, and the rewards should reflect this as well.
