  1. I found a 161% Black Force IX just before last night's reboot. It was a single hulk and I got a clear field bonus, so I don't know if someone mined out the field and missed one or it was just a solitary hulk that spawned. In any case there are still diamonds in the rough. :P

    I'm not going to publicly give out the location... But I will say that it wasn't in BBW. :P

    I just tried a new PS on PTR and the cl0 Manes at Nav Brightside 4 is a bit difficult for a starter character. I was already into hull damage before I got the mob down to 75% shields and barely warped out. While a veteran player would know to mine/explore a bit and get into better equipment, someone just starting out in the game would get easily frustrated. Added the fact that you have to kill multiple mobs to get the required Gene-map new players would most certainly give up after a few deaths.

    I think the mission mob in question needs to be looked at. It was consistently hitting me for 7-9 damage each shot and ate through the lvl1 shield very quickly.

    This should probably be moved to the bugs section?

  3. I think the code was made non-public due to people making their own shards based off the work done here. I wasn't around at that time so cannot say for certain. :mellow:

    The server source is available on sourceforge.net but without extreme modifications it isn't playable in its current state.

    I think this was due to the login server / hand-off service issue last night. It happened to me both on PTR and Play servers.

    • New slash commands worked to increase level in this order:
      /level 50
      /upgrade 6 (Did not have to go 1 through 6 in order as others have stated)
      /enableskills
      Applied skillpoints to all skills.
    • Lag seemed much less than play server. No weapon or mining delays. Skills activated without issue. Mobs were seen at correct distances.
    • Did have an issue when the group leader took a tow to station sending me in a non-stoppable warp while in warp. Had to relog.
    • JE max scan skill was not being applied to group members.
    • Had an issue with loot restrictions. Could not disable allowing group members to loot freely. Tried reforming group.
    • Docking at OMP gets you stuck at the loading screen. This happened with two characters. They are still stuck after re-logging thus ending my observations for the night. B)

    EDIT: Docking issue may be a symptom of the current play server issue? Seems the hand-off service has crashed according to Seeker.

    I'm not a big fan of the rings... It just seems so out of place and manufactured. I dunno... It just irks me for some reason. It is easy to make sure you've cleared a field however I'll give you that. B)

    Rumbled up wouldn't be so bad if the warp ceilings weren't so constricted. Wasn't it +/-10 z-axis back in live? Maybe get the ceilings increased and then get the rumbled up fields centered at 0 z-axis with a +/- 0 to 9.5 spawn radius from that point.

    Is there a formula that places the roids or is it a template?

  6. Can you select the same EXACT job now? No, you cannot. It disappears from the terminal once it's taken. If the jobs were static and did not disappear then you could select the same job over and over again six times. The timer would stop that from happening if we were to go to a static, non-respawning list of jobs.

  7. Whether it's static or not, you will have people waiting, needlessly, around the terminals, when they could simply get their quota of 6 jobs and be gone. If the list is static, and as many people can grab that job as they want, what's the point of putting a wait timer in? Having to wait, for no good reason, is something players will simply find annoying.

    You could still get 6 different jobs... Just like you do now. The timer would be for each individual selectable job.

  8. Personally I think that "you must wait X minutes before taking another job" is a bad thing. It only increases the time each player has to spend at the job terminal. IMO such timers would only result in job terminal camping like there was in Live particularily at the terminals in Aragoth Station & Net-7 SOL.

    If the job list was static it wouldn't be a problem. But Kyp has already shot that idea down. B)

  9. If the job refresh is causing some lag could we possibly remedy it by making the job list semi-static? We could introduce a player-specific job timer so when a certain job is accepted you can't accept that job again for a certain time. This is so people can't grab the same exact job over and over again and have just one waypoint to go to... 5 min should be long/short enough.

    Just want to check if someone done the mission lately, would like to ask where one can find Brominite - a L2 gas, have spent hours to look for it, including clearing some L2 fields in ABB, have checked in Jupiter, earth and few more places where are L2 gas fields and found none.

    Also ziosite seems impossible to find, haven’t spend as much time as on brominite but still seems not right to find so much of the other similar L9 ore and non ziosite.

  11. If you can get a windows environment (emulator) loaded on the Droid... EnB installed... And somehow get the net-7 proxy to work... go for it. Even if you do get it to load you still may have issues with keyboard mappings and mouse movement. I foresee an act of frustration however trying to get it to work without a modifiable client.

    1st rule of the EnB Client: You do not modify the EnB Client. :(

  12. Would it be possible to change the /level command so that you can fine-tune your cl/el/tl? I know most of us don't level everything equally. :(

    Something like: /level <cl> <el> <tl> where each number will set cl/el/tl respectively.

    /level 20 40 30 would set you to cl:20 el:40 tl:30 and overall:90.

  13. I don't think they are random or if they could be. I see hulks as hidden-nav points: ie things that go by word of mouth or through exploring off the beaten path. Granted once they are discovered there is nothing stopping people from posting their location. That is where the randomization would come into play and you get back to looking for them.

    Yeah, TS requires you to post the same thing 5 times a day, so I'm not sure what counts. (i.e. "Reset your updates... reset your updates... set compatibility mode... reset your updates..") :P
