I finally did figure out why my system was not allowing multiple clients:
I had it so that multiple copies would stack automatically (ie: 2 copies show as 1 icon on the task bar). This turns out to be the issue, soon as I turned that feature off - I can now run multiple clients.

Well, for me seems a bit more than every once in a while.
Launcher runs fine, when starts to load E&B, that is when I get a pop-up saying it is already running.
No matter how long I wait it seems, I always get that msg.
every once in awhile windows gets confused and give that message... make sure you are fully logged into one session before you start the next one... and dont be in such a rush to click through everything give the prompts a second before you click the next thing... whenever you feel you want to click somethingg, breath first then click...
do not duplicate the directory or anything else... if you can run one session then the game and launcher is working perfectly as designed...

Same issue here - bummer....
If anyone figures out a way around it - please post.
I'm running Windows 7, when I try to do this, I get a message that E&B is already running... Do I need to duplicate the game directory or anything like that first?

Tried that - in the end I ended up re-installing Windows.
Something in Win7's integrated .NET 3.5 had gotten corrupted.

OK, working to get this installed and running, but am having two issues with the sticky, etc...
Did all three installs multiple times - all completed without error
Windows 7 - 64bit
1. Step for running the Net7 Config - to put it simply, it is not there - no such program or program menu link appears
2. If I try to run LaunchNet7.exe, it does not run at all. Soon as I double click I get a pop-up that states: LaunchNet7 Has Stopped Working, searching for a fix to the problem.
I have confirmed .Net 3.5, .Net 4, etc... (I do Studio 2008 development myself sometimes for fun).
Anyone have any ideas?

While I am all for the original experience, I think these mobs stop players more than anything else. Today I saw a level 10, needing a max level JE just to get their hull upgrade - that should not ever happen - especially if you want more newer players. The lv42 pirates in random gravity wells are bad enough, but the other - that is way too much. That combined with the other is what costs new players - they cannot proceed unless they are forced to go and play with others. That entire scenario is to FORCE groups, which never, ever in all of the Online games I have played has actually worked out well (EnB, WoW, Final Fantasy, and about 4 others which violated that principal I cannot remember). Always ensure new payers can progress - no MATTER what, or it will always die... that is what I have seen anyways - and this from someone who played EnB from day one, until the day they said it was over....
