Well I tried a pw and kept getting my butt owned mostly cuz shield sap or whatever its called didn't seem to do much, might have been my low combat level and the fact low level enemies have like nothing for shield. I have never really played a JW much, I assume they go all rogue like on enemies sneak up in cloak then unload for a massive crit bonus? But that would be a problem if the enemies are closely packed together as they usually are. For a trader-type I would deff go PP first, just because 5 gun mounts and the thing is pretty tanky. Maybe I should go PP first just so i can make some bank to outfit a JW. Only problem is PP can't make most beams if I remember right. So i'd have to seek elsewhere to get my beams made.
  2. Yeah i always felt the missles were way to slow, mostly because most of them squiggly around insted of just going for their target. I think I have seen maybe 1 type of missle that actually flies like a proper missle which is a bee-straight line to its target. it just looks stupid when the missle is spazzing out in all diff directions while traveling to the target. I do know if i was to make a miner it would be terran though, all miners kill slow, but the terran one has the advantage of being able to kill stuff and never get hit. Do you still need to use the char creator with a certan target thingy like -window to make the newer classes? or have they been implemented in game yet so I can just go in game and make one?
  3. As topic says I have not played in ages and forgot most of the game, can you suggest a class for me or tell me each classes general pro's and con's.

    When I played last for example terran missles had such a slow travel speed that I bascally gave that race up due to it. The range was nice but when it takes 40 seconds to get to the target it got a little annoying.

    For a trader I will probally be the progen privateer just for the sheer firepower that thing has.

    For a warrior I am unsure, Terrans are out unless missles travel speed has been substantially increased.

  4. Think you guys could fix the Jenquai summon ability and the autofollow? With beams it tends to move me out of beam range when on follow, and for Summon, in St3 it used to teleport a mob to 0.30k ish away from me, now i have had mobs end up 1-1.5k away after a summon.
  5. Should I go Terran or Progen and why? Terran has speed and can kite easier but looting is a bit of an issue when u consider missles range. Not to fammlar with Sentinels so.. could use some info on them. Mainly I want a Explorer class that can hold its own well in combat (which means no JE's) Thanks all! Also worried about device diffrences, I notice progens kinda get screwed royally in terms of devices compared to the other 2 races.

    Yeah. it just looks kinda silly some of them swerve like crazy. Like its guidence system is messed up. Maybe they could be sped up some? Its not a major deal but you think a rocket propelled missle would get to its target faster than a projectile fired from a cannon.
  7. 1) Like that in live, unlikely to change, this is the cost of being terran and being able to solo better than just about anyone else, long as you can go faster than them.

    2)Not that bad a plan, at least worth considering

    2a) Meh, from a balance perspective, trading was kind of designed to be a long thing. Missions or whatever we get to cover for them should help on this front. Selling stuff you find on dead corpse isn't REALLY trading, its just the games way of giving you money, not at leveling up.

    3) While nice in theory, takes a lot of work, and is probably unlikely to happen anytime soon. Priorities :)

    4) Low levels are fine, we go through them almost too fast as it is, though that's just an opinion.

    Only because its on 2x exp right now if your below OL 75, when its not and it's 1x you'll see why I mentioned it.

  8. Heya's from playing the Emu for a while I been thinking of some changes that could be done.. I'll just list them

    1) Fix Missles, they need to fly straight not to mention faster. (Ex: like Ogun plasma missles cept sped up somewhat) I use Type B's and the missles swerve all over the place and take over 10 seconds to finally hit, if you'd seen any jet movies, you'd notice the missles can go mach 1+ to catch up to a fighter jet Why do missles in space fly at 300?.

    2) Massivly increase explore exp for analyzing items. I can't stress this enough 250 exp for analysing a lv 4 weapon is far to little.

    2a) Also up trade exp from sold looted goods from npc's (if a item npc's for 1500 creds I should be getting more than 50-150 trade exp for it) and also for crafting items.

    3) Give Reactor Optimzation a less annoying graphical effect.

    4) Add some repetable missions for low levels for all races. Currently only TE and TT has one that requires killing of low level monsters (As far as I know anyway)

    Thats about all thats been on my mind lately.. If I think of more I'll post them.
