    If one was to raise the Scout's shields to L9, what do you lower to L8?

    Terrans must have L9 engines and L8 reactors
    Jenquai must have L9 reactors and L8
    Progen must have L9 shields and L8 engines.

    Also every class gets 2 L9 techs, and 2L8 techs.

    Oxford is 25 miles south of me  ,i am sure you will like it if you like old buildings with a lot of history . Possibly meet you for a pint :)

    I'm counting on it.
    "A Pint" ? 2-3 every evening I hope.
    I've been to 3 of those destinations already, but you may already know that. :)

    One of the most remember able  moments was getting on the Very Crowded Tube, "Mind The Gap" A few Asian gentlemen pushed their way off, I will always remember the proper English woman say "Bloody Foreigners".

    Its been a while since Ive had a real vacation.

    Here's a scary thought.

    I have been thinking of visiting some of our players countries and cities.

    My new passport has got no stamps in it !
    Here's what I've been looking at, seriously.

     

    London - Oxford - Brussels - Amsterdam  Then do it all in reverse...

    Itinerary: Fly into London, train it to Oxford stay at a bed and breakfast 2 nights, Train it back to London --> Brussels then on to Amsterdam.

    Hi Vrixy and Phorlaug :)  , i used to do a lot of mountain river and lake fishing when i lived in Wales during my youth :)  .

    Get in a lawn chair with a warm (Bleh) Samuel Smith's or Fuller's and get a some sun. :)

    Ive been doing some fishing here , caught some decent bass and a around 2 pound black crappie.

    OH ! Black Crappie are like Paper Mouth Piranha, pound for pound they fight better than LM Bass.

    Let me show you a stringer of Black and Whites with a couple of big Blue Gills, nothing in that 2lb range you got, I got these in WI.

    Oh Man I spent over $1500.00 getting my truck and boat in good working order.

    All I need now is some good weather and a body of water.

     

    I have fished Wisconsin (Castle rock & Petenwell Flowages), Kentucky (Lake Barkley & Kentucky Lake), Michigan (St. Joseph River) and quite a few lakes and rivers in Illinois in this boat.

     

    I'm not going to mention deep sea fishing in the Caribbean and Mexico's pacific.

     

    I am sooo looking forward to getting out this year, IF MOTHER nature will be nice at some point !

    Yes. I did just tried, it wont let you login using the mobile version.
    It did let me log in using the full version of the Net-7.org site.
    Try using and logging in with the full version then switch to the mobile version when prompted after login.
    Edit: Not much you can do with the site on a mobile.
    Edit edit: use The Google web browser to login, not the generic Android browse.
    Check " keep me logged in" when I did this I got more use from the site.

    The only thing I can think of is that cookies are not enabled. Our web site DEVs will know a lot more than I.

    optional PVP is a great great idea that i hope to see in the future, hopefully near future. 

     

    As long as people have the option to fight or not fight it should be perfectly fine!

     

    You cannot compare hunting tengu to fighting a person.  You thikn about many of the hugely popular well known games out there most if not all have PVP.  Streetfighter, Mortal Kombat, Halo huge successful titles thats been around for years are player vs player fighting.

     

    It is the most fun option you can possibly re-impliment into this game.

     

    I was told by someone that pvp was in the works and someone esle told me that there will be pvp in the future. I play with the hope of that day coming to past!

     

     

    Just an idea, perhaps the winner of the battle wether its 1vs1 or teams, the death count and kill count is kept and first team or individual to say 5 kills each wins some small exp. 

     

    Please please bring back PVP!

    I didn't see anything relating to detecting powerdown in the original design docs, Phorlaug, therefore I won't be asking the team about this.

     

    If you had something else in mind regarding this please elaborate for me because I obviously didn't understand.

    Power Down States:

    All mobs that are currently attacking the player have a chance to lose the player as a valid target when the skill is activated.  A target difficulty value is first calculated as the mob’s difficulty level multiplied by 1.5 if the AI INTELLIGENCE variable is ‘Average’, and multiplied by 2.0 if the INTELLIGENCE variable is ‘Smart’.  An opposed roll is then made between the player’s current skill value and the calculated target difficulty value.  If the roll is successful, the mob will ‘forget’ about the player and act if the player has been destroyed.

    Effect is 100% successful.

    Effect persists until removed.

     

    While a cloaked object is within typical sensor range (i.e. would be normally seen if not cloaked), there is a chance each 10-second period that a player with this effect can see it.  Every 10-second period an opposed roll is made between the magnitude of this effect and the magnitude of the target’s cloak effect.  If successful, the object becomes ’uncloaked’ to the owner of this effect for the next 10 seconds.

    I was under the presumption that an NPC with see cloak would have a better than the: "multiplied by 2.0 if the INTELLIGENCE variable is ‘Smart’  to detect Powerdown.

     

    My mistake, it all comes down to the roll and intellect of the NPC, and not by any skill that an NPC possesses.

    When a Jenquai has an Improved Cloaking buff, does he get a saving throw (or whatever the EnB equivalent is) against see cloaking/Scan 3+ or do enemies that can see cloaked see through your cloak 100% of the time?  If there's a saving throw against being seen, is it something that's checked repeatedly? 

     

    I was wondering that since the Improved Cloaking buff stipulates that it makes your ship harder to detect with see cloaking, but I don't remember ever being able to be cloaked next to a mob known to have see cloaking, without being seen.  Does that aspect of the Improved Cloaking buff do anything?  If so is it against See Cloaked, Scan 3+, or both?

    In the original game Docs IIRC, Higher/est levels of Scan says "Can Detect Powerdown" is there any truth to that now or in the future ?

     

    Its been a while since I have seen the Game Docs its some where on one of my PCs.

    IMO, it is better to use or have a name that is short and with NO special characters in it.

    You will find that a lot of raid promoters will only try once or twice to invite you into a group or raid.

     

    The only reason I would see for you to have a specific long and Character oriented name is for

    security purposes and I kind of think that worrying about your characters vault hack is unnecessary.

    Keep it simple.
