  1. Well... Even with the PW getting that full heal from that group sapping sphere, the people that are doing the healing are still doing so no matter what. Just like me they don't notice that full heal from the sap also. For all they know it's their heals that is giving their shields that juice.

    Having been one of the people in the raids to kill GoBB... It usually takes us about 3 healers and 2 dedicated hull patchers for the tank to survive that raid. Has people done it with less? Yes. Hasn't been us though, and how they do it I have no clue.
  2. Okay... I will say this as rationally as I can. How is getting a full heal of the shields every 21 seconds game breaking? On high end mobs that full heal of the shields gets wiped out in the matter of seconds. Long before the PW can even use the skill again. The only thing that will keep it going is constant heals and hull patches from supporting group members. Like Will stated earlier the group sap is mainly used for the DPS not the actual shield return itself. When you put the timer up to 2 minutes which you stated either in this thread or another, it was pulled out of the air. Anyone who plays a PW knows that when fighting bosses you can't rely on your sap alone to keep you up in a fight. That is all I have to say on that.

    P.S. To be honest while in a raid I never noticed my shield being completely refilled by the max sap. Kinda busy fighting and taking massive amounts of damage to see it.

    Only if you use transfer and not area sap... Obviously you don't play a PW, or you would know its 21 seconds on the timer not 14.
  4. Shield sap doesn't make the PW invincible at all... Even when it was on a 14 second timer my PW still died regularly if he didn't have constant heals. The PW was never able to solo any of the raid bosses ever except Troller and GoBB before they were changed. The JE shield leach is more deadly then the PW's sap, but because that replenishes reactor and not shields it will never be nerfed. Nevermind the fact that a few applications can kill a handful of 40 bio mobs very easily.

But I NEED CL and jobs are so SLOW!), maybe then they will quit bitchn and itchn, and get behind a brother for a change instead of advocating for a nerf.

    That won't really matter because the people who don't even like PW's will roll them so they can have a meatshield in the line up...

Increasing their race specific skills might be more useful and make more sense, higher lv cloak, fold space, summon, actually now that i think about it adding summon would be more beneficial to the JS than adding say psi shield (with shield recharge it's not really needed, plus that seems more of a JW specific skill, imo).

    I think you have a good point, but I also think Terrel has a good point as well... The Seeker has no specific devices for it yet, and until they do you have no idea whether them having l9 device tech is a good thing.

  9. Except it would make it a miner trader with a large hold and beams so no need for ammo... JS 40 cargo slots and negotiate to the JE's smaller cargo hold and no negotiate. Which would you choose? That's why traders don't have prospect. If that's what you want roll a TS.
  10. Is the class flawed yes, but the same can be said of the TS and PP... Granted the JS might be the most flawed of the 3, but lets try to be reasonable with are requests as to what we would like done to help make it a better class. I don't think telling them it's "so bad that it's TERRIBAD" and that they just need to delete it and start over really helps. A lot of your criticisms aren't constructive or helpful at all.

    Why should I be elaborate... You want to give this class 3 l9 techs. Why them? When no other class does. That's like giving a Jenquai l9 projectiles, it just doesn't fit with the way the game was made. Why don't you elaborate as to why they should be the only class to get that. Talk about balance issues. Once you start doing things like that you open a can of worms for other classes asking why they can't have 3 l9 techs. I'd like to see you dispute that.

  14. Well I would rather have shield recharge over hull patch, but that's a trader only skill... I still think they need a better offensive skill then hack. I didn't even bother putting points into it. The illusion skill that Terrel talks about sounds intriguing, but that sounds like a defensive skill. The TS has no problems taking out a mob higher in level then themselves. It just takes forever doing so.
  15. If I'm not mistaken the Hyperian shield is non-manu... Which is the only reason I don't use it, because I can get better buffs from devices and what not. Solo combat on the TS is grueling slow just like a TT without shield recharge. I can imagine if they followed the 3 4 5 weapon mount configurations that the Jenquai have. Meaning the TS would only have 3 missile launchers which would make combat even slower. I do believe they need some type of combat skill other then hacking to balance it out for solo combat. As it stands now it is in my opinion the weakest solo combat class. Even though the JE has fewer weapon slots it has a great combat skill in shield leech. Also the ability to use combat cloak helps them out a great deal as well. I had a much harder time leveling up my TS in combat then my JE. It wasn't till I reached cl40 on my JE that I actually struggled to get combat levels.
