  1. Anyone from Andromeda have any old pics of when Static completed the Mars Project? Biggest waste of time in the game, but was quite the accomplishment. Took us a while, but it was quite the guild effort. I don't think it was done by any other guild on any other server. I'd like to see some pics of it if they are around.

  2. Really what needs to happen is experience across the board needs balanced. I know in time, there will be missions that allow you to focus on exploration. We all know about the trade runs. Hopefully there will be combat missions as well so classes that can't easily kill fast enough to make grinding combat experience worth the time can do a few missions and get a nice dump of combat exp.

    All classes have their strengths and weaknesses, but having any class having a big enough weakness to say "forget that I'm not going to play a class without negotiate, I won't good exp from trade runs" is wrong.

    I think all classes should be able to use their strengths and level using that strength effectively and as evenly across the board as possible.

    Warriors = Combat

    Trader = Trade

    Explorers = Exploration

    Captain obvious would state that each "should" be able to level using their game given abilities evenly and effectively. Now finding out how to implement a system that will allow it is the fun part.

  3. Testing the game, or even playing the game again should be treated as a privilege not a right. Is getting that boss spawn and violating the TOS worth not being able to play EnB? I don't think so...

    Thats the question that really needs to be asked, is why did it even have to come to that point. In situations like this, a persons true colors comes out and really, thats not what the EnB community is all about. I play the game because of the player interaction and pure love of the game. Really there isn't alot of content after you hit 150 and get the "end game" items you need.

    The pure enjoyment of the game, building items, seeking that blue print of an item and really just hanging out with guildies and friends. I look forward to the time I do have to spend in the game, however if I had to deal with players conducting themselves like the parties involved in these incidents, it would really make things unenjoyable.

    So...in short....play to enjoy the game and community...and try to make it enjoyable for others...IMHO

  4. We have a guy in our guild that roleplays a progen in game and IRL. He don't shower days on end. He grunts in vent before he talks and has a general bad additude most of the time, diving deeply into the progen role. I've tried to tell him that it's just a game, but it just pushes him deeper into the role. His name is Floss and I'm not sure if he would like to create something you are referring to. Contact him in game and see what he says.

  5. Everytime I've worked on faction I notice if the server goes down or is reset, my faction is all different. I think blocking access to BBW would be wrong at this point not only because of broken faction, but the two sectors there need to be tested before live. There are missions that lead to BBW and start in BBW that should be tested.

  6. Hi,

    I played EnB right before they ended the game... I think I have around 1 year or so experience playing almost every day (!)

    I need guidance to install and play EnB once again here. I just don't know what to do. Would someone give me a step by step instructions so I wouldn't crash my computer :P

    I use PC with Win 7 Ultimate OS installed.

    Thanks

    Leo

  7. After the wipe and ST4 started, I notice most of us are scrambling for levels and printing the high demand items, however....what’s pretty amazing is how most of us are broke and we still build for nothing or just to cover the button press.

    Really, I've been playing MMO's for years and the fact that it seems like a "joint effort" in most of the things we do it makes playing the game that much more enjoyable for me.

    There is the friendly rivalries over named/boss spawns...but even those are still civil.

    Just wanted to say thanks again to the Dev's and GM's for their time and making a fun, free place to spend my time.

  8. I think most of us that are playing the EmU have, or have had a lvl 150 character. So - To say that the Dev's are desigining a FFX type game, that takes 1000RL hours to level in would be pretty stuipd to assume. I'm glad there is an easy way to level up a toon. It is fun to see the game from several different aspects, rather than spend day in and day out grinding one toon, making the game repititious and boring. The point of the EmU was to not only bring back earth and beyond, but to bring back the community that made the game mean so much to all of us. Part of the things I loved about the game was the community. So - If you want a game that takes 15 years to reach the "end game" I think you should look for another game to play. As for me, the only thing I hope for when the game is live, is the item drops to be a little more rare so it keeps the "challenge" element in the game.

  9. The game is running awesome. Most of the items from live are in the game and from what i've read, eventually it will be pretty much like the live version. Honestly, to me the game runs better than when EA was running it. The Devs respond to problems fast and get fixes out within hours of the issue. Some of the small issues take a little longer to get fixed, but for a group of people donating their time to create/run/maintain the game I think it's awesome. It's great be be able to play the game again.
