I get the same lag you are experiencing. It happens on my Earthlink DSL, as well as my buddy's Comcast.
EDIT: I can't even leave Luna station now. It's stuck on the loading screen forever. I've waited over 10 minutes on the loading screen now. I'm with you, it would be nice to play...

I did this, and I'm still having problems gating/docking. It doesn't happen every time, but if I'm playing for more than 5-10 minutes the game lags up to the point of not doing anything (or sits on the loading screen).
