  1. I also followed the steps to install the certificate, etc per the below -- no dice either :(

    I am getting the INV-300 (EA.com is temporarily unavailable) error
    This error is related to the SSL encryption used to secure your connection to the server. Follow these steps to resolve the problem:

    • Download this file and unzip the files into the root of the drive where your E&B installation is (or place them manually if you used a custom path). This will fix most INV-300 problems. Proceed with the following steps if it does not:
    • Download this file to "C:\Net7\bin".
    • Go to "C:\Net7\bin" and open the file "local.net-7.org.cer".
    • Click the "Install Certificate" button on the dialog box that comes up.
    • On the "Certificate Import Wizard", click "Next".
    • Select "Place all certificates in the following store:".
    • Click "Browse..."
    • Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and click "OK".
    • Click "Next" and click "Finish". If a dialog box pops up saying "The import was successful.", you're good to go. If you still receive the INV-300 error after this procedure, please post in the tech support forum.
  2. I get a login error.  I have tried everything here, install, re-install, firewall, ports, run as admin, Internet options, etc.

    I still get the EA Server is OFFLINE. I can tracert to the server however.

    I tried on another system on the same network and it worked, but not on this one.  Windows 7 Ultimate, 64bit, gft 560, i7 and 16GB RAM.

    Please help.

  3. I have this error after I start from scratch and updating the Net-7 launcher:

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  4. To stop the clients all nesting on top of each other (in windowed mode), you can right click on the client's entry on the task bar when it's active and use 'move' to move the top of the client around - you should be able to drag it over to a different monitor if you have them.

    This doesn't seem to work with Windows 7 -- clicking on the taskbar doesnt have the Move option and trying to click on the window bar itself gives focus to the game and can't seem to move the window ;)

  5. Hi,

    I am having the same issue.

    Win7 32 bit everything works great UNTIL I try to enter the game after selecting a toon. Then the client closes and a minute laterm net7 proxy closes as well. No client.exe stuck.

    On a different system it works perfectly.

    I have run rootkit removals, anti-virus scans, etc etc.

    Any suggestions?

    I got it working -- combo of no windows fw, running proxy as admin and forcing updates made it work.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
