  1. Friend of mine told me that my favorite game was being revived as a emulator. I first downloaded the very first of the single player versions. Been on and off playing since late 2005. This game has been my first and best mmorpg that i have ever played. The community and players have been the best since Live , and have been ever since . Many hours have been put into this project, and I salute all the Devs, Programmers , and Testers. Long live ENB and it's contuined success
  2. I have to put in my 2 cents. ;)

PS is my first love and if you want to mine and combat it was the best combination of both. PS can handle alot of damage where the JE had lousy shields and hull. Now the JE could cloak , but (don't snicker ) so could the PS (sort of) with powerdown. With the right combination of devices and engines you could get a PS down to under 1 with his signature. As a beam user (lvl 8 beams on my PS ) you could mine for hours and not need any ammo. PS could solo well and was usefull as a group member also. hehe...sorry for the long winded reply.....told you it was my first love :P

  3. Don't laugh C del ...at work we still have an old 8088 up on a shelf collecting dust. That computer was up and running when I first started on my job. Of course that was 22 years ago :( . Been dragging them into modern times from that day to now. Still using my OLD setup with a few upgrades.

    AMD Athlon 1.2 Ghz

    750 megs of ram

    Nvidia 5500 128 meg video

    Windows XP (upgraded from 98)

and believe it or not 125 watt power supply

  4. i'm having a simular problem, launcher reports offline and pressing play button DOS window reports cannot connect to server. I've allowed everything thru the firewall , even going as far as turning it off. Still will not connect to server. I even tried to ping the server and that also fails. not sure where to go now. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. Ok . Having played a PE all through beta and live , having a low Sig helps A LOT. Mining would be darn near impossible without it. Guns are always a matter of opinion . Shield recharge devices and shield buff devices are a must also.

  6. Ok....Just had same problem but I've run into this before. You have to disable your Firewall both Windows and your Virus protection. Once you do that you can update just fine. Just remember to re-enable your firewall once it updates. I'm still working on how to get by this , but it will at least let you play this way

  7. I've used Verizon,At&t,Cingular,Prepaid (net10) and Revol (local company with unlimited minutes) . Currently using my 5 year old Razor that's connected to Revol . Unlimited minutes local and long distance for 25 bucks a month is just too much to pass up . Yes you get dropped calls and sometimes have spotty coverage but when you can just call someone back and it doesn't cost anything extra is ok for me. Verizon has always had the best coverage of all cell service providers. The prepaid was nice as long as you don't want to talk very much and even if you don't use the minutes you still have a set amount of days to use them or your service disconnects. I'll take my spotty coverage over a huge bill or having to sign a 2 year contract ( Revol doesn't have contracts) .

  8. Ok, not sure how it was for most of you in "live" but, I know it took me weeks of farming my own faction to gain my RD status. I actually didn't hurt my progen faction because being a PS I could turn in "gene maps" to raise my faction without taking the serious hit of killing so many same faction mobs. I got my RD faction early on when BBW was nothing but some high lvl ore fields, 4 gates and QAR. It was kinda a status symbol to have good RD faction so early on. Made trade runs soooooo much better too :)

  9. Ok, I'm no computer expert, but that configuration is a mess. 4 hard drives with 2 different file systems , Ouch !

Also your usb drivers are way out of date , not to mention the modem is most likely hogging memory along with IRQ space. Just my 2 cents , I'm sure there are many others that can come up with a solution to your problem
