    with only 2 or 3 having the power to do a server check then restart....its doubtfull they even knows its down.. ( yes SDEV's have real jobs / School too)....

    I don't care about the reset part, but there should be a way to empower a few more people to be able to check server status and have one of them post something.

    i.e confirmed server is down, we won't be able to have someone check on it for the next 8 hours. Go raise your wife and family faction while you can.

    It's not the 1970's don't need to have someone physically looking at the box to know if the sever is down or not.

    Once again it's not an issue with it being down or even how long it will be down just about communicating it to everyone.

    Am I looking in the wrong place? I do not see any offical notice about the game being down. The client itsef lists the status as offline and the Net7 website lists the status as unknow.

    If there is no posting can we get a beta/dev/gm to take 2 seconds to post something in the announcemnt section of the forumns.

    The game has been up and down so much over the last couple of days with various issues some communication would be nice.

    While no one likes downtime I find the lack of communication more annoying than anything else. It only takes 2 seconds to post something.

    Once again if there are offical notices I am missing somewhere please let me know.

    Not sure of all the changes that where made as part of ST4 but whatever they are they are not working out to well.

    Ton of broken quests that were working before, and the server and login server are down a heck of a lot more than in ST3.

    Time for a roll back? I thought things were going pretty well at the end of ST3, no perfect of course but I would have to say so far ST4 is take a couple of big steps back from the progress in ST3.

    Can anyone confirm how roid respawning works?

    Do you have to clear out a whole field to respawn it or can individual rocks respawn?

    If you take 1 type of ore out of a roid but leave the rest does this stop the roid from respawning?

    If taking 1 ore out of a rock stops it from respawning it might not be griefing but it is kinda of counter productive. You will eventually be left with a field full of trash and have to look elsewere, instead of clearing and having more respawn.

    One of the best ways to avoid bugs is to not talk to the NPC until you have CL 3.

    If you go before you have CL3 she will start of the chain, have you buy , build etc.. but eventually she will stop talking to you before giving you the skill.

    When you hit CL3 and go back she will restart the build mission quest.

    Save yourself a headache wait till you hit CL3 then go talk to her.

    Ok first off big thanks to Ortega for helpping me work through this.

    I am not sure what part exactly de bugged the quest but here is what I did.

    Make sure you have over 20,000 credits when you start this (will need over 27,000 to finish whole chain)

    1.Talk to Louden, get both quests.

    2.Talk to louden again learn about Holly being crooked

    3.Go kill ships

    4.Go to earth pick up o2 canisters only not terran insigna.

    5.Go back to Louden hand in kill quest

    6.talk to louden again, should now be promtp for quest to give him 20k

    7.talk to loden again, now he wants the terran insigna

    8.Go to ES pick up terran insigna and L2 Orb weaver ML to save time

    9.go back to louden hand in o2 and insigna quest

    10.talk to louden again, now he should take your 20,000 credits

    11.talk to louden again he will ask for orb weaver

    12.talk to louden again hand orb weaver, get skill.

    Not sure if anyone has any idea's but no matter what I do my XP machine still was trying to connect to the 200 address in stead of the one in the 80's. My Vista machine never had a problem.

    The only way I got the xp machine to connect is to put 87.106.15.67 right into the host file in the net7 launcher that does work.

    any ideas

    tried so far

    dns flush

    modifying host file for Net7 with the net72 address.

    Reinstall net7

    reinstall enb

    I remeber at one point a month or so ago lot of people where having problems connecting and I fooled around with a file for a manual address and it worked. Could be the issue but I can't remeber the file or what I did to it.

    TS rocks... everything works except the 2 new skills... free hull upgrades... TOTALLY OUTMINES je's and between L5 Negotiate and its speed it out trade runs a TT and looks cool doing it...

    What 2 skills are missing?

    I have played about 4 different characters so far I think they all have their skills except for the JE L135 skill I think is still missing.

    Does anyone know offhand what skills are still missing on what classes?

    Fixed my issue.

    Even thought the Starship creator is already installed with EnB don't use it.

    I even tried moving it to the main EnB director and it did not work.

    Just redownload it and let it install itself in the default directory. Prolly wouldn't hurt to have EnB in the default directory as well.

    After I installed the starship creator via download , I modified the shortcut as per the other posts instructions and made a couple of alts, deleting the first one I made since it was in an existing characters slot.

    I know have my main toon and my two alts.

    What fixed it for me as downloading and installing the starship creator seperately.

    I'm running Win7 32 bit. I got it working by running the Character Creator as Kenu described. When you create a character using the creator make sure your usin a slot that matches an empty slot in the game. If the game hase a character in the same slot you use in the creator program it will not work.

    Also note, when you start up the Character Creator, there are no buttons associated with the new classes up at the top of the screen. You have to use the left/right arrows at the bottom of the screen to scroll through the classes and it will find them. Sure its a pain in the butt but watcha want for free :).

    I hope you enjoy the new classes. I think they are good fun. Some love em, some hate em but its best deciding for your self.

    Earth and Beyond Emulator

    I used the Starship creator that came with the download of EnB. Made a short cut, placed -NOCLASSRESTRICTIONS. I was able to access the new characters, I made two. I only have 1 EnB character currently. When I went to into the game through Net7, only my original character was present. Any idea how to help EnB see what was done in the starship creator?

    Hey guys it's been a while since I checked out the forumns and now for the most part the old info is gone. Is there a link anywhere to what current works in the game and what is still under dev?

    i.e do Devices work? Are there certain race skills that don't work and I shouldn't bother investing in? Are the trade skills up and running fully, weapon make, shield make etc..
