  1. Okay.

I've searched the forums high & low and even asked ingame, but I can't find the information I'm seeking.

The Build Reactor skill says to talk to Getco Mechanic on Ishuan Station once you reach lvl 60. All well and good, but I'm under the impression that that information is outdated, and I've found no information on the forums saying one way or another, or any detailed information on how to get the skill (2nd hand comments/references at best).

Is there a NEW mission for seeker's to get Build Reactor, if so... from whom do I get it from and at what level (hoping that the level needed has been reduced, since 60 is too fracking high.) and if there isn't a NEW mission, could I get detailed information on the current mission.

((personally, I'd switch JE and JS needed lvl for Build Reactors, since JS being a trader should get the skill first; either way I just want to KNOW what is what.))

  2. Sorry, I've been a bit busy lately. Here is a package of two files which will enable you to extract all the sound mixfiles:

    unmix.zip

To use it, extract it to the mixfiles folder and run "Unmix.bat".

I'm not really sure what sound was used for the interface element you're referring to, although I think it's one of the "click" sounds. If, by chance, you happen to find it, you can change it's volume in sounds.ini or you can disable it by simply deleting it from sounds.ini.

Thanks C Del. I'm having a bit of a busy week myself. Probally won't be able to hunt for that sound until the weekend. I had already figured out how to fix it, it's finding the right name in a list of hundreds when you don't know what the right name is... that's the hard part.

Now I just have to decompile and then listen to several hundred sounds, until I find the one I'm looking for, going be an interesting couple of hours. <grins>

  3. Hey.

Been checking off and on all week, but haven't made to time to post a reply.

Did you have any luck finding it C Del? If not, does anyone know a good freeware program for decompiling the .mix files (into sound files)? So I can decompile some of them and look for the name of the sound myself.

  4. I've been looking all throughout the sounds.ini file looking for a certain sound, so I can change the volume lower or off, but haven't been able to find the listing for the sound I'm trying to alter (been altering several at a time, then logging on and testing - no luck)

The sound is in the targeting interface

Target an asteroid, click within the targeting interface to change the display from a picture to a text description of what is in the asteroid. The text description, as it's quickly texted onto the interface display, has a rapid 4 or 5 sharp clicks (almost a cricket sound)

I HATE this sound, especially when looking through several asteroids in rapid order looking for a certain ore.

If anyone knows the name of that sound in the sounds.ini file - PLEASE inform me.

  5. I got home from work and when to play EnB. Got the update screen, updated, then I hit play.

    The DOS showed, this:

    Net7Proxy version 1.71

    03/01/10 20:59:37 Params: /Address:217.160.5.19

    03/01/10 20:59:37 Params: /CLIENT:E:\EARTH&~1\release\client.exe

    03/01/10 20:59:37 Params: /POPT

03/01/10 20:59:37 Attempting to connect to IP address: 217.160.5.19

    03/01/10 20:59:37 Sending login.

03/01/10 20:59:42 login failed - server not found

and a messagebox shows up saying this:

Server Failed to respond to Login attempt

Tried every variation of logging in I could think of, no change.

When I first started Net-7 it updated to 249, and then it's updated a few more times since then (now 252). Error still persists.

One thing I found, but have no idea if this is a relevant problem is the hostname certificate

I ran Check Certificate and got this:

    LaunchNet7 - Warning

Certificate for "play.net-7.org" is not valid or not installed.

    Install certificate now?

I pressed yes, the messagebox went away and then I hit Check Certificate again. Got the same messagebox.

Got this for the error log (maybe helpful)

    LaunchNet7.Error.log

    LaunchNet7 - Exception
