appcompat.txtI am having similar error but i am running windows vista 64. i am able to play on my dektop which has windows 7. I have tried all the suggested fixed but the installsheid crashes at 100% right when the black earth and beyond scren comes up. I am running as adminstrator, xp compatiblity etc. I used to be able to play on Vista prior to stress test 3 completion, than it said my program was not up to date and i had to uninstall all the files, net7 etc and reinstall everything. it will not let me install the the E&B client file. please help. here's the error:

i am very sorry for the size of that picture but i don't know how to make it smaller.
my computer settings look like this:
win xp sp3
video asus 8800gt (latest driver from nvidia)
internet explorer 8(Default browser)
flash player (latest version)
directx (latest version)
net framework 3.5
latest windows installer
if i am missing something please tell me because i am stuck and don't want to reinstall windows.
ps: this error came after uninstalling the game and clean up the registry.

i used to be able to play on Vista 64 bit, IE explorer 7 , till sometime after strss test 3 complete and there was an update, net 7 said i needed new client software for E&B, so I uninstalled everything and downloaded the new client and it hangs up on the install, right whe it is a 100% and its trying to copy the files over and the black video screen is up it stops, and completely becomes unresponsive as does windows installshield. Been trying since SEPT to get it going again no luck. I need to be able to play on this comp and not just the windows 7 one which has no problems with it.
