Every tyime I try to log in it hangs at the loading screen. Wont get past it. Even when I try to create a new toon. Dont have a clue on what to do.......
Help me please.
Have you tried using the EnB configuration tool? IF not make sure you run it as an administrator. Run the video configuration and save.

Did a search on 3805. Maybe this thread will help....
-
Was there a junk folder you could check? I know you said all the spam settings were off..
-
Glad to see you made it online. Welcome and enjoy Earth and Beyond!

Let's see...
New install of net7. You can create a character ( I am assuming you mean in Earth and Beyond and not Starship Creator), but fail when you try to enter the game with the character. The error dialog you cut and pasted is when you try to do a patch update or redo them
Can you try to force an update with the Net7 Launcher? Use the Launcher Menu Launcher > Reset updates
See if that helps.
-
When you start the Net7 Launcher, what do you see under the Host field? Should be play.net7.org
Recommend this thread be moved to the Tech Support Forum...

Using /changepassword, I managed to lock myself out of my account. Must have been a typo, but am unable to find it. I submitted a ticket. Is this the process to get reset?

Try using earth and beyond configurator program
Start > all programs > EA GAMES > Earth and beyond Configuration
Check windowed mode
Do performance test if you want.
Click ok
From your video, it seems like the client does not start or is minimized some how.
Just my thoughts.. good luck

Anybody able to help ? I created another account and it suffers from the same symptoms
I am not able to check the user database. You did get a registration email and you have responded?
-
Edit : all fixed now ... I panicked for nothing
Glad to hear you got it going. Welcome

You didnt need to post, I found your adivce before I posted and none of this fixxed the problem I'm describing and thats why I posted. Believe me, I scour these boards all the time learning what I can. Thanks for trying, even if the 10th time, but no good.
Thorvald
Thanks for posting the process list. Was sure hoping to see a stuck client or proxy. I still think this sounds like an issue with port/data being Stuck. I'll do my best to think of something. Maybe Cdel might be able to figure something out.

NVM. I looked down three posts and found out that I'm a retard
Glad to see you got registered. Welcome and have fun!

I looked around the site and did not see a topic on this, if I missed it I apologize now. I run Vista 64 on my laptop with an Nvidia 9800M GTS and so far I get terrible graphics, (will post screen shots later). Just as an example I can fly into a sector and as I warp along the nav points through mine fields all I see is the little grey interact circles, no asteroids. A lot of the times I will have to come to a complete stop to let the roids load and even then they flicker in and out or just never show up. Gates, start bases, enemies, and friendlies all have this happen while playing on my laptop, even the planets get a very strange ripple through them as I put along mining.
I talked with my brother who is running Visa 32 and he does not have these issues at all, and my work laptop runs win xp and it plays fine on it. A friend of mine has win7 64 and he tells me he has the exact same problem I am having so I deduce it is the 64 bit operating system causing issue. Does anyone have a work around or a setting tweak to help alleviate this graphics problem?
Have you tried earth and beyond configurator? Set res and save?

I still cannot register either, i get this error message .....
Forum Check: SELECT * from forums.ibf_members where name='steve'O' and email='******@comcast.net'
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version
for the right syntax to use near 'O' and email='stevens20@comcast.net'' at line 1
I have tried firefox and chrome, forum username and email from these forums matches up
thanks for the help
Sure sounds like a issue with mysql. I will ask cdel about this

Heya ... I wanted to post a problem that seems to reoccur often enough that it may need some looking into.
Initial problem ... Getting kicked from the game while logging to character select from in game ... (posting the EXE read out)
The game closes to desktop and this is what the EXE shows.
Next: I start up Net7.exe and it starts up just like normal and I hit "Play" .... the client EXE gets stuck here ...
This is where it would normaly read starting EnB and bring up the Terms of play policy and you would accept and start playing. This does not happen and it just hangs here... and leads to this ...
To get past this, I just have to spam the Net7 program and hit play, wait to see what happens, and if it does not start EnB(or bring up the terms and policy that is) then I close it and start it again and repeat this until it starts up properly and brings up the Terms and Policy window.
This isnt stoping me from playing, but its a hassel, and might be fixxable. I've thought about a few things to try, but wanted to get feedback first. As it stands, the game runs well aside from this and I am running on Vista 64, but have things running in compatability mode with XP. And it does it with or without compatability mode on the .exe files.
Thanks for any ideas.
Just an idea... the next time you get kicked out selecting a character. check the task manager and see if ENB (client.exe) gets closed. Or if you could post a screenshot of the process screen.

Came home after i gave this a rest, i tryed to start up the game and it worked... but then there was a server restart and then it was back to not working :-(
Then I saw your post, and i tryed both things...didnt help :-(
Pls help
Just so I understand... we are back to logging in, then getting a black screen and the client abends?
-
Yes, Should be and Already tried that.
1) Of course I use administrative acc...
2) Cant really say for any time when I attempt to use .net installer i get a message-less "setup error"...
3) Already tried that without any visible effect. Still shows "certificate not valid or installed" when checking. Also can't see it installed in cert manager...
Looking at item # 2. You got an install error with .net? That and certificate install issues got my attention. If this is so, might I suggest using your control panel to remove the dot net install and then trying to re-install?
Just might be worthwhile.

Keep us posted please...

Nm, got it working, thanks for all the help, and all the work on the game!
Awesome. It's so nice to come back home to Earth and Beyond, right?

Does anyone know if it is possible or legal (under the rules of playing on the net-7 server) to run 2 instances of the game at once? I did some brief searching around on google and couldn't really come up with anything.
My understanding is that as long as you have two seperate accounts, you may play each at the same time. What is not permitted is to play more than one character on the same account at the same time.
Technically, I see people using Virtual Machine (VM) or similar application to create two instances. If you got the horsepower, it's not a bad way to go.

Hi.. welcome back!
Check out Install from scratch. Keep us posted on your progress please.

Go ahead and post the error, and also a screenshot of you can.
(Moving thread to Tech Support)
The error message occured right after the net7 launcher had updated (the latest patch) and did a automatic re-start of the launcher. The error message concerned net3.5 framework, but if you clicked ok, it went away, launcher works and message did not re-occur. I suspect it was some syntax related issue with the update.
Just my take

Ok, I put everything in XP compatibility mode and nothing changed.
C Del I will download TS3 and try and catch up with you Saturday during the day
Please keep us posted on the results. Best of luck!
