  1. I wish shadow well and hope he gets back on his feet as soon as possible.

With regards to that though, how long does an Advocate have to be MIA before a replacement is chosen?

If this is a long term thing, he can't fill the position anymore, Will we choose a new one or some other way to channel our questions to the dev team?

  2. What happened to it?

The player advocate was an amazing idea, It really helped us get our questions answered, know what to expect in future patches, and focus our questions correctly. currently that's gone

The dev Q&A helped with this as well. Those are gone as well.

Today I have no idea where the game is heading, Should I expect new stuff in a month? Is it even being worked on?

Can we get some of this back?

p.s. I figured this was the best place to start this thread

I can't accept hardware donations or anything of the sort, as it wouldn't work what with that whole attempt for requesting tax exemption for N7E, Inc. but as far as a 'second sunset' goes, that's hogwash. I say that because if I open donations, they fill up in 1-3 days maximum and run us for two months, the numbers of players haven't really changed that much overall compared to the non-live periods except for a sudden frenetic burst at the beginning and then realizing there wasn't quite enough content, but then again no e-mails were sent to anyone. The players we had at the beginning of live were purely word of mouth and friends. Sure, I could buy us different/better servers, but since we don't stress the ones we have in the slightest, there's no reason for this. I think the problem is related to simple transmission lag, but I can't prove it and therein lies the real problem.

    ...

I'm a little confused here. Help me sort it out please

in the above post you say that if you open up donations they can run net-7 servers for 2 months at times, this varies, granted, but you would be able to build up a surplus. With that thought in mind, I have asked around and found out that Megan hour exists because 1&1 does a massive backup on there servers nightly (if i am misinformed my mistake). this causes the constant lag from 12:00am - 1am. this varies depending on where you are and what time you are up. how large the backups are that 1&1 has to do, ect. one thing that is not constant is that this hour exists and prevents players from enjoying the game. not to mention I'm not talking about all the rest of the issues we have seen and had.

since this is a constant problem why haven't we switched services already?

based on the above, money isn't the issue. how many of the current player base would need to comment here and vote for you to take action?

What as the player base would we have to do to convince you the devs that this is needed. Not to fix the lag issues, not to fix the downtime, but just to eliminate Megan hour? (if the rest of the issues can be client side and all the stuff in between this issue is server side, unless i am grossly misinformed. in which case my question still stands on how we can eliminate Megan hour?)
