Im having a problem updating my forum signature getting it ti update correctly. I used the 'sig maker' on the Net-7 sometime back when my avatar was level 27 and it displayed correctly. Ive since tried to update it after reaching level 46 so I repeated the process shich appeared to create a new .png file. The problem is when I save the change my sig continues to show the previous signature image. My guess is that since the name of the .png file has not changed the actual server file has not changed. Anyway anyone know how to fix this? I do not have a web host that I can save the image file to so I do have to rely on the sig maker to host it. On my signature below you can continue to see the contents of the old image (.png) file

Im sure this has been asked many times but cant tind it in search   Occasionally when using the tractor beam the beam graphic gets stuck and remains 'active' until the avatar is logged off and back in again. I caught the tail of a conversation in new players there is a permanent fix available but cannot find anything about it. Anyone have information on how to fix this problem?   Thanks in advance

Hi any room for old Newbies? I used to play on live before Westwood sold out to EA but never joined a guild. I played to lvl 50 at the time felt that the content kinda ran dry so I went on to other games and even ended working for an online game with sony online for the mmorpg EverQuest. Currently I connect through a vpn with the company im associated with now which had its advantages mainly being free however their system went down for three weeks and just came back online this past Monday after an upgrade that turned out to be anything but. Currently everything is up however the vpn logs everyone off every 5-10 minutes so until thats fixed im staying away from any raids or groups hopefully this will all be resolved within a week or two. The local cable company in this area kinda sucks which is why I stayed with the vpn but it looks like it might be time to bite the bullet and sign up with an isp once again.   Oh I used to play on Orion and had a Terran Warrior and currently am trying out the Terran Trader but im eyeing  another warrior or enforcer class as an alt.

Thanks for the tips. RE The inteligence report it turned out to be a Doh! moment. I had the mission for a long time and guess somewhere along the way I must have sold or destroyed the report. Turned out all I had to do is forfet and restart the mission and it updated correctly. The above tips will be handy cause a few steps down the road Ill be hunting outlings for another mission so thanks to all that replied. Its taken a while but Im starting to remember EnB from its live days so long ago. Wish I had discovered the EnBE a few years back!

h sorry I wasnt clear Ill quite the mission text and npc responses   Mission title Gather data from Xai Xai 1 of 3   1) Fly to and around Xai Xai station   2) Return to Maricio Idane at Kinshasa-Mbali   I return to Maricio and he says...   "I need to see a InfinitiCorp Intelligence: "Outlings" in your cargo bay or equipped before we go any further..."   Ive flown repeatedly to Xau Xai station around and 'through' it with no change. In E&B Armory I did find an item called   InfinitiCorp Intelligence: "Outlings" specifics are lvl 5 with no npc offering or selling the item and no mob drops shown either its description is as follows:   An internal corporate document not meant for public scrutiny. Describes in statistical detail an increase in the frequency of attacks by unknown drone ships ("Outlings") on InfinitiCorp vessels in the 61 Cygni system. The author speculates upon whether recent disappearances of personel and equipment indicate that these drones are somehow acting with collective purpose and intelligence.   Its this point that im stuck From your description it soulds like I just visit the station but from the above sounds like its an object I need to aquire somewhere. 61 cygni has no info on it and the armory has no info where the item can be found. Kinda sounds like were talking two different missions similar in name. Thanks for the comeback Im still poking around the station to see if I can find anything.

I have a mission to collect data from Xai Xai for Maricio Idanes research that I cant find any info from. It states to fly and investigate around Xai Xai station then return to Kinsasa to Maricio. He asks for InfinityCorp Intelligence "Outlings". I see the item in EnB Armory but cant find any info on this item. 61 Cygni does not show any current missions for this NPC either. Thanks Lonewolf for the lift. Not too worried about getting ship destroyed, im kinda thinking remaking a different character. Maybe something more combat enforcer or something. Nav in that sector still seems a bit screwy tho, can still only frewarp sw. Ill clear all targets setup due north and hit warp and ship turns SW first then warps. Gusss ill report it as a poss bug

Got the mission to kill some mobs around the Infinity Shipyards in Tau Ceti and dont see it on an map. Even doing a google search mentions nothing about this though other shipyards are mentioned. Had an offer to group with someone that was there but I was a bit burned out from being on so I declined. I heard its in the northwest part of New Edinburgh but havent found it yet. It appears to be out of range of scanners and im having a bit of trouble free warping atm. I want to free warp north but when I hit warp the ship only warps southwest and have to select a known nav point to get back.

Ah ok that makes sense. I think it was orion its been so long I dont clearly remember.

Origins? Never played that game unless its known by another name. as far as MMORPG I played Everquest as well as being a senior guide then finnally a GM, Everquest 2, and Planetside. Disneys Toontown, Lord of the Rings Online, Earth & Beyond, City of Heroes. Currently Im just concentrating on E&BE

All this time and I just now doscovered the emulator so im getting back in the game. I played back just after beta closed (just missed the FF decal) by about a week and absolutely loved the game and played daily til about level 50. In the early days to me it seemed the content kinda dropped off at 50 so I put the game on the back shelf and life got in the way and imageine my dismay when I discovered EA cut the cord. I still have the E&B cd on my cd rack and from time to time thought if it would ever return perhaps under a new publisher but <sigh> EA seemed to abandon the game completely. One day out of nostalgia I looked googled earth and beyond and I couldnt believe there was an eulator project. Now I have to say I didnt expect much ive heard of others and either they were so boplessly buggy or the publisher quashed them that I expected the same and im very plesantly surprised a tip of the hat and salute to those at Net7 and the dedicated fan base. I find it hard to believe how well the game plays  (and how much ive forgotten the control interface) and the fact that its free, once I have a little cash I definately plan to donate. Right now im working on re-learning the enterface like navigation and the chat channels but im excited to be back in the game. In the original I pretty much played solo but will be looking to join a guiild once I get the hang of things. I wish I had learned about EnBE some time back ill definately work on spreading the word. Once again a big salute to Net7 and the developer team and the GM support staff.

Is there a issue with creating ship names? Every name ive tried has been rejected. I considered the possibility another could be in use with the same name so I even tried random characters and other languages however regardless of what I try the name I get the message Sorry that ship name is not allowed please try again. Any suggestions I find it very unlikely that every name Ive tried can either be in use or restricted.

Im sure this has been asked many times but cant find the appropriate thread so...   I downloaded the client and patch and both installed without problem until I saw something about redirecting me to a Net7 server to obtain a key and everything stopped. The page remained blank and now im lost as how to create a new acct on the emulator server. I open the launcher and select the sunrise server and the splash screens open and it then asks for my EA name and password. I read that the login is supposed to be the same as used for the forums so I tried that andget that it cannot locate my EA name. The acct management dosent work of course as its for the old E&B before EA sut everything down.   Im confused about where to go to create a new acct on the emulator. Also is it correct to use the same login as that for the forums? This seems a security risk to me
