Hi, new here and about to download the game. I was flagged months ago for downloading call of duty, and was warned because it was copyrighted blah blah blah....

I know this game shut down along time ago. However was wondering if my ISP would flag it?? Or is it freeware??

Welcome aboard, hope to see you in space soon.

    Cheers!

Well that kind of shoots down my hope that it was "just" local corruption.  I've found that my issue is solely with only one account - garblesoup.  All my other accounts I can play any of the characters without issue but playing any char on garblesoup, which is kind of my main, quickly goes south.  Kind of having fun at the moment growing a new TS on a different account but will definitely need to figure out how to resolve as my primary builder and the two combat chars I'd been developing (PW and JD) are both on the munged up account.

While I'm sorry about the problems I just noticed something...you were in OA??

I followed that link and can now open the crash logs and make custom lists. Looking up some of the errors I saw has led me down a very useful and informative path on what's going on with my system overall and there's more going on then just EnB issues that I need to address, so thank you very much for sharing it.

You're quite welcome, it's the easiest to follow guide I've seen to date for getting into the complexities of that logging tool and getting useful information out of it.  I'm glad I could help, and good luck hunting down the bug(s)!

That had occurred to me as well but it's such a pain to get to the back of my box I was hoping against hope that there was another issue but I bit the bullet and pulled the Rift rebooted then launched the game, sadly it didn't make a difference system still rebooted at the character selection screen. Looks like I may have to do a complete reinstall when I have the time, but thank you Sleepwalker for the reply.

Arethusa, I'm sorry that wasn't the silver bullet for your issue.  Possibly, depending on how technical you are, the win10 error logs could pinpoint the problem.  If not directly by you then perhaps one of the seriously technical-minded people around here. If you know how to set up the error log to look specifically at application errors it might just point to why it's happening if they are looked at by someone who really understands the intricacies.  If not, I'm adding a link to a pretty staightforward guide:

I've been playing EnB on my main computer since I bought it 3 years ago just fine, today after being away for a few months I opened the launcher, updated it got to the EnB character login screen entered my password and my system rebooted. I tried it several times with the same result, so I uninstalled the Net 7 launcher, cleaned my registry and reinstalled, ran EnB config set it right back to where it was full screen 1920x1080 now as soon as the character login screen appears it reboots. I searched the forum but couldn't find a similar issue. Game is still running fine on my old system. My main computer is Intel Core i7 7700 with 32 gig DDR4, Graphics card is EVGA nvidia GTX 1070 with 8 gig, a 750 watt PS, game resides on my boot drive which is a 850 gb Samsung SSD, OS is Win 10 Home. Only thing that has changed since I last ran the game is a new monitor and a Oculus Rift S plugged in but sleeping.

The only thing I can think of to suggest is to disconnect the Rift and see what happens.  It shouldn't change anything, but I remember a long time in my tech career that a cable which went to absolutely nowhere, once disconnected, solved a major issue.

  6. After three days back (I was around pre-wipe and then gone for many years) I decided that it was reasonable to donate at the same rate I pay to sub to the subscription-based MMOs I still pay for...and decided a year+  of comparable sub fees was an appropriate donation.  I'm treating the game no differently than I did when I payed a sub...if it's worth playing it's worth paying (in my opinion). Now I'm fortunate to be in a position where I can donate at that level without being really concerned about it...but it doesn't require that.

If the active players who don't donate today all donate even $10 then it's a start.

Weekends seem to be more busy.  But if your waiting for population to play, the population won't go up.  :P  It's easier if you drag a family member or friend in with you.  Note for those that may not know.  The community here is as awesome as it used to be back in the live server days.  Super helpful / nice.

In the brief couple of days I've been back (last time I was around was in 2011) the community has been absolutely amazing...every bit (minus my guildies of course) as good as it was in live.  I'm hooked again.

  8. [EDIT: This issue is resolved.  Thanks :) ]

Well, a couple of hours worth of step 'n fetchit on this and at the step where I start getting fragments of the 4th Inspiration, Monty DuChamps at F7 has the mission dialogue, agrees to sell it to me, I progress the dialogue, he says it's been a pleasure doing business with me and I get a fragment...but the quest fails to advance to the next step.  Am I missing something obvious?

Its 5:04 est. Are the servers down? Still problems with the patch?

I was playing online when the servers went down twice and then later in the day the mrs. was playing in the early afternoon but now as I try to log on I get that Net-7 error " Server Failed to respond to Login Attempt" but see I am the only one so far that has posted about this problem. Unless I overlooked a post so let me know whats going on.

    Thanks,

    BK

As near as I can tell, the servers are offline. I was ingame, warping, and warp target was ignored and I just sailed off into the ether. Killed the client and the server now reports as offline.

I have a minor in psychology and i can tell you how true kyp's statement is. my psychology 101 class has a simple puzzle and it goes like this...

    O T T F F _ _

and we were asked to take as long as it did and write down what came as solution to this puzzle in a piece of paper and submit it to the prof.

i am trying to do the same here and asking pps interested in this subject to ponder over what this could be and reply post....

Disclaimer : I got an A+ in (behavioural)psych 101 but almost flunked (clinical) pschy 102 lol...beware...putting your brain to work could cause harm to it.

I used to mess with people using that...but always prefaced it with a little story about how some very high percentage of ten-year olds got it right and a ridiculously low percentage of adults did....and used ten letters

PMd you the answer...would be a shame to put it in the thread
  11. I'm opposed to the AH concept in this game. We're all fairly isolated from each other as it is most of the time, and the only time we ever get pixel to pixel contact is builds and sales. I think it's different in a ground-based MMO where you are constantly in visual contact with other people; but even in them the AH tends to lower social interaction.

Just my two cents, though :)

    Tell me what you think.

It's very clean and minimalistic, which appeals to me. But as long as you are playing with this, extending the hotbars, making them scalable, and being able to stack two reduced-scale rows of them would be an interesting addition as well.
