My Je has the first 4 wormholes, Kalissa, Swoop, Jup and VT, I rotated between them in that order.
-
I play on a 3g usb stick when traveling, it runs really good until you try to gate. Sometimes you can gate 4 or 5 times in a row, sometimes your stuck in the sector for a half dozen logins. The funny thing about it is wormholes are not affected, and to test this I logged in my JE and did 40 wormholes in a row and didnt get stuck on the galaxy map. As soon as I tried to gate the session was over.

A looong time ago mine was doing the same thing, the green bar at the bottom of the launcher took forever to fill up checking for updates.
So I put those lines in there and it worked, something must have changed because I # hashed them out.
I just now went in and unhashed those lines and ran the launcher and got a 404 not found for the patch server.
That may indicate that the patch server has changed to a different address.
-
I've seen this happen before, find your hosts file, mine is in C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc
copy and paste or add the following lines at the bottom, if windows asks what to open it with use notepad.
# 74.208.192.215 local.net-7.org
# 74.208.192.215 sunrise.net-7.org
# 74.208.192.215 patch.net-7.org
You probably only need the patch line but what the hay.
Good luck, may be a longshot but you never know.

Thers no 3g or 2g where im at, last speed test was 764 down on Altell's laptop connect usb device. It runs just as good as my 8 meg cable connection.
What really surprises me is how little bandwith the game uses. The Altell account has a bandwidth meter and I played for an hour and 20 minutes killin drones in bbw and only had a little over 6 megs of data tranfer up and down combined.

This lag is a different lag, it happens at a set amount of time. One way to test this is get a jenpie in an ore field and target a roid, cycle through them with the D key. You will see a roid hang up for a couple seconds before moving to the next. Depending on how fast you cycle through them, its always the same number of keystrokes, it happens to me around 12 roid cycles.
I have only tested this on one system, and it could be client lag on my end.

Haven't seen any guild stats so far. Some of this stuff seems unreal, unless im missing something here, how does a person die 1,655 times in one day? I dont think i could do that if i tried. 4 deaths on Risco Moon? How do you die on Risco Moon?

It started out TT only but the restrictions were removed.
Content Tweaks (Patch Message for 2/13/2004)
Hello all,
We're pushing a small content patch this evening to address a few odds and ends that didn't quite make our game update last week. Here are the details:
Improved the Tech 8 and 9 versions of the "Repair the Shear" mission reward weapons. They should now be more desirable.
Anselm Ville no longer gets confused and refuses to talk to some people. Now he'll happily sell to anyone.
Councillor Rafa ben Erela won't sell the Schematic for the Sharushar Invisible Eye to Progen anymore.
Players will no longer be able to buy any item that they cannot use from the Mars Construction Project. Please make sure you thoroughly review the item you're requesting before you trade in your process passes.
The Barbed Fishing Hook can now be made by Terran Tradesmen.
Increased the number of Brood Oil that drop.
Removed profession restrictions from the Pit Mechanic's Toolbox.
Fixed an issue with the der Todesengel sector gate in Witberg. It will now be visible on player nav maps once visited. InfinitiCorp denies any responsibility for the abnormal behavior of navigation maps near the der Todesengel gate.

Found these on a developer update.
--- Some Statistics ---
Okay, I've had lots of requests for stats recently so I've managed to drag out a bunch of reports that are probably of interest to you and will give you some insight into some of the stuff we track.
Daily Report
Here's yesterday's daily report info on a few things. (There was a reporting glitch for a long time that prevented us from getting any info in these reports on sectors that weren't in the game at launch. We've corrected that now.)
Average Session Time per account yesterday was - 315.48 minutes or 5.26 hours. You guys gotta get out more!
Average Session Time per character yesterday was - 170.28 minutes or 2.84 hours.
Percent of time grouped was 30.95%
Terran Enforcers led the pack in the most created anew yesterday. From there, the most common to least common (yesterday) was Tradesmen, Explorers, Warriors, Sentinels, and Defenders.
The top number of kills by any character is 824,545.
The top number of deaths by any character is 1,655.
The most money held by any one character is currently 5,145,532,657 whoppers.
The deadliest sector yesterday was der Todesengel with 715.
Blackbeard's Wake nailed 688 of you.
Varen's Girdle got another 595.
The least deadly sector yesterday was Risco Moon with 4 deaths.
The busiest sector was Glenn with 186,412 minutes logged.
Then Friendship 7 at 132,109 minutes.
Cooper at 125,291 (but how many were people waiting for the Tada-O gate to be triggered?)
Varen's Girdle at 113,221 minutes.
The least busy sector yesterday (ignoring newbie start areas and PVP arenas) was Mazzaroth with 481 minutes.
Wealth/Credit Report
I also periodically get a credit/wealth report that shows me the average amount of credits by profession/by level. So here's some tidbits from that.
The report generated before the most recent game update (that changed ruined hulks) showed the following averages:
Level 141 - 150
Defenders - 37,950,502
Tradesman - 37,548,595
Warriors - 37,168,112
Enforcers - 32,912,737
Sentinels - 30,475,720
Explorers - 23,033,795
Here's the report generated on the 9th (Monday this week).
Level 141 - 150
Tradesman - 38,923,278
Defenders - 37,630,632
Warriors - 36,638,626
Enforcers - 34,316,834
Sentinels - 32,716,079
Explorers - 32,175,895
Now, we see that the averages have grown closer in the past week and a half and we're watching how this plays out over the longer term (well actually longer short-term). Jenquai Explorer wealth has jumped considerably and in general the averages for each profession are closer than they were. Explorers have only had about a week and a half to supplement their credits and many are still exploring the other content added to the game. The wealth numbers are getting closer and the Tradesman are back on top (for the moment). Overall, a good sign from our perspective.
And before I get a billion posts on it ... yes, I realize there are factors that can skew these reports. For a ballpark "feel" however, this is a handy metric.

There is a yellow question mark in mixfiles_art_19_mix that looks to be about the same size as the letters in the npc name.
-
In live if an npc had a mission availible for you they had a yellow question mark on top there head.

Yes, my pw can fire 8 rounds then the clocks disapear from the weapons, returns to normal, then it starts over again. 8 rounds everytime, you could set a clock by it. Also when in warp, trails appear in front of me like I already been there before.
-
My laptop does this very same thing, hull damage and gas clouds will bring the framerate to a crawl. I always thought it was the limitations of the onboard video, my desktop is unaffected.
-
Seems to be up but its set at 50 people, when i logged in it said full.

a build all button on the build terminal would be REALLY helpful, even if it only works on ammo and comps, cause building several hundred ammo comps for your guild sucks atm lol
+1 anything to help this would be great, slash command, build all button. A zet user wanting 50 elixers, flux, and shades is 150 button pushes and thats not really alot of ammo.
-
I can't find the exact text of the ammo comps dropping in cooper but im pretty sure it happened in this patch.
-
This same issue came up in live too, they did move the comps to the fish in cooper because not everyone could or wanted to raid. Since full blown gate raids are not in, it sounds like you have a solution.
-
Didn't they expand Cooper at some point? I seem to remember there being alot more navs to the west with deco rocks and Desash was back in there.
-
Perhaps a depository or something where you turn in 500 or however many stacks for a cool item or device, if i remember right ea was tinkering around with this on the maelstroms and in progen space.
-
Hopefully Arudine Plant will be brought back to it's live status, plenty of gas, mobs immune to plasma, constant aggro, the warder. There was some factioned ships flying around down there, maybe Earthcorp?
-
Another way this could be done without a wipe would be to lockout all existing characters on the server. Your old characters would still be there but, you would have to level up a new toon to level 70 or whatever. When your new character reaches that level your old toons unlock and you could play them a usual.
I have no idea how hard this would be to code but i do see it as a race to the unlock level.

TT starter zone in High Earth there were tons of low level infini corp warping nav to nav in single file.
-
Those 56's in the fb think there boss mobs, one shot a L9 shield with plasma, summon you in and take your engines offline, then dead. There's something not right about a 56 doing that.

That inv 300 pops up on me every once in a while. I just started spamin the the thing, when error pops up ok it, then hit accept, sometimes it takes 5 or 6 times but it goes. This works for me. I clicked the link above too and it says false, and this install is logging in with no error.
