Make me a screenshot of what you see and I might be able to help. (print screen, paste into MS paint, upload to forum as an attachment)

Dont kill me, cant find MS paint! And there really isnt anything to screen shoot. Except the debug launcher. Then I have to accept twice(which is unusual)Then it looks like the game is loading normally except when I hit a key to stop the intro animation, I get a different animation that says westood studios. And Megan appears but it says EA server is unavailable and demo flashing across the top.

I have reinstalled 5 times. Where do I find the root folder. I apologize for my computer ineptness. Im an IT recruiter and thats where it ends. =( The only thing on my desktop is Earth &Beyond, Earth and Beyond website and Net-7 launcher. There is no folder.

I found the folder, inserted new auth file and the same thing happened to me. It took me to westwood as well and then cancelled. I think its progress. Any Ideas?

Try this instead, (not sure why its not working, as I just reinstalled and didn't run into the issue, sadly without being able to replicate there's not a lot I can do to fix it)

In any event:

This goes in the game client's root folder under ./release/ copy it over the existing one.

Let us know what happens.

OK, just for sheets n grins, I attempted the reinstall AGAIN (3x now) taking meticulous care to make sure I absolutely did run all the installs in administrator mode (and W7 compatibility mode this time --- last time I ran it in WIN XP Ser Pak 3 mode). I'm still getting the same error listed by our buddy who started this topic :)
Since I could be deemed certifiably insane, trying any more reinstall attempts (without doing something diff), I'll hang on and see if there are any suggestions. I'd hate to think this has something to do with my PC, as everything else appears to be working fine, with no unusual behaviors. I do appreciate any help. Lucky for me I have my other 2 PCs playing EnB, so I'm not totally screwed.

I do feel totally insane. The last time this happened one of my guild mates sent me his net-7 folder with an updated authentication file. That doesnt work either. I dont have 2 other machines running it and I havent been on in a month (work) can anyone help???

Uninstall and explicitly run the installer as an admin (sounds like yer on Vista/7 and have UAC enabled, it would have prevented the existing installer from replacing that file, and its one of the client files that had to be modified to make it work with our server. (so it points to the right place, n all that)
Not vista 7. XP
6. My HD died, I replaced it and re-installed EnB and I am getting this error message

Error launching client
Details:Wrong Authlogin.dll version.

Your version 3.3.0.2
Required version 3.3.0.6

Please update your Earth and Beyond installation with the latest available patch

I have received this before and dont know how I fixed it.

Help!

I was going together med a group member in Lagarto to make progress with my OL 100 HU, when suddenly a message popped up in NOT to do any kind of missions!

Before I had a fair chance to act, the server then crashed!
seems to still be down anyone know why?
9. Atm Im guessing right now.

Dont understand why you would be still having problems even after you reinstalled everything.

Its also possible your anti-virus software is blocking Net7,Windows Firewall, or perhaps your modem is, I couldn't tell ya.

You did have problems before this happened which leads me to believe either the above is stopping your game from properly working or your windows is somehow damaged. (Hope this is not the case)

Updating your .Net Framework should fix it but im not a computer Tech, Everything I know by teaching myself and Previous trouble-shooting past game issues.

Didnt work. The launcher opens but I cant click on anything. There is a box in the top right that says help, when I click there is a tab that opens up to fill out a support ticket. I fill that out and see what happens

I dont understand why this happened. I was just playing and only logged off because I couldnt get out of that unknown galaxy in cooper that is not on any of the maps I have seen. I have gotten this prompt before and just clicked continue w/ no problems. But now when the screen opens the bottom where is shows loading is blank and you cant click on anything. There has to be a way to fix

ps my launcher says vl 1.9.9

10. what version Netproxy does it say you have when it pops up? is it 1.99 or 2.0?

It may be its not updating to the correct ver.

It was saying 1.99 but Im in the middle of reinstalling EnB after wipping it. Im twisted!

Clicking continue doesnt let you proceed as normal? I occasionally get this same error after CTDs as I said in PM I think its just the launcher hasnt cleared out of memory fully from crash and relaunching it just giving a warning notice per say as I can just click continue and continue loading the game fine.

It used to let me but stopped this morning.

11. Yo M8, Looks to me like you need to delete your Net7 folder and reinstall it, sounds to me like some of your Net7 files may be corrupted.

If that does not work uninstall Net7 and EnB and reinstall a fresh copy, but i think its your Net7 files themselves.

Also if your running Vista or Win7 make sure the game and proxy is admin.

This all happened right after I went into that unknown galaxy in cooper. I will try reinstalling

12. Help!!

Error message reads "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue."

"configuration system failed to initialize"

Then when I click on the details button it says this:

************** JIT Debugging **************

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

enabled.

For example:

<configuration>

<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.
