That seems to help. But it's not real consistent. So far it seems like if things aren't working right, just changing them from selected to unselected or vice versa and trying again *seems* to work.

But that could just be coincidence. I haven't tried it enough to know for sure.

Are you using the packet optimization or prototype reordering settings in the launcher?

I've tried the packet optimization option both on and off. So far, the result has been fairly random.

Haven't tried the prototype reording setting, tho. I'll try that and report back.

Sometimes when talking to NPCs, it can take as long as 5 to 10 minutes of waiting between dialogue clicks to get to the next option. And when I say sometimes, I mean about 50% of the time.

This makes buying, selling, or doing missions a real pain.

Great opportunity for beer and sandwich break, tho.

Don't know if it's related, but I have a similar problem buying and selling objects and spending skill points. Takes forever from when I click the action to when the action actually happens. Again, sometimes 5 or 10 minutes.

ok, it let me log in, but when I tried to leave the station, it crashed. Something about "failed sector log in"

You mean for my Operating system? Yes, I think so.

I tried logging in a second ago and it worked. I played for 5 minutes, then tried talking to a NPC merchant... then the game just hung up on that. I could see other players chatting in the shout box but I couldn't advance or get out of the conversation with the NPC. I walked away from the computer for 10 minutes or so and came back and it was still stuck, so I tabbed out and tried to log in again...

I was playing earlier today... then I went to start it up this evening it lets me select a character, then it goes to a picture of a galaxy map like it's loading, then crashes to desktop after 30 seconds.

I tried changing screen resolution, that didn't fix it. I'm running windows XP, so the compatibility mode isn't an option.

It's done this 5 times in a row, so there's got to be some kind of problem. Wish I knew what it was.

Says there's 108 people online now. I can log in and select a character, but then it just exits back to windows after a minute showing the pretty galaxy map.
