  1. Was sort of venting actually- apologies if it was offensive, but TBH it was the first time I'd even heard these changes were being looked at (as I'd not been overly active on the forums for a while-- hehe that is/will change again) But I will tell you this: majority of players have NO clue about this stuff, they don't even visit the forums, infact. Case-in-point: I had a guildee call us to GoBB raid today 2 hrs after he killed it thinking it would spawn right on que- I had to point out to him last patch made the times random; many on the server still have no clue about the latest patch changes put in actually but that is mainly cuz the launcher patch page isn't fixed yet.

But I was kinda irked at the time I made that post, again accept my apologies for the abrasive tone (yes it was, you guessed right ;) )

Do what I did lol. Was discussing some of the upcoming changing in guild-chat with 1 other guild. People went off, guess they had no idea. I told'em get their asses to forums and voice whatever opinion they have. Cant bitch about the President if you didn't vote...

  2. Well I'll be honest, from your latest replies I see you are interested in doing nothing but bitching. You don't like large guilds, ok we get it. Thats perfectly fine. You asked Kyp about making it possible to form Alliances with other guilds, I guess some way to make it 'offical'. Then a few lines later you say alliances are no different than the big,bad evil large guilds. Which is it? Like I said, you just want to bitch and my guess is someone in one of these big guilds made you mad because they wouldn't share or give you something.

The only thing you've said that I can agree with is the mentality that whenever the EMU goes live the competition will increase. That will happen, it's already happening now to a smaller degree. As for the 1v1 turning into a 6v1, so what? If your guild doesnt even have 6 people in it then why even be guilded? And if you really want to know something, 1v3-4-5-6 isn't a big deal (you gotta remember out of those 6, probably 2 are healers (not very high dmg classes, and most likely 1 JE that is someones alt who hits like a limp noodle); so that 1v6 is more like a 1v3-½. Ive watched people rant and rave, bitch and moan cause they cant out damage me. I see what they are doing wrong, I laugh at them for not being able to think for themselves. So being out numbered doesnt always mean anything.

I wasn't in STATIC in live, don't know what happened or what rumors about then are true/or lies. Anyways I'm done with this thread, if I've pissed you off in-game on a boss spawn so be it. When it comes to bosses and you don't have (STATIC) under your ship you'll have to earn the kill. Perhaps you should adopt a similar feeling.

  3. One simple, but big gameplay change I'd love to see fixed is turbo stacking. It would a be nice little addition to the game I think, even though I know there are more pressing issues that should come first it'd be great if someone could slip this in sometime *soon*. Especially since it seems like balance is starting to be considered now.

Am I alone in that or is it just not a big priority right now?

  4. I'll give you a tip: If you want to have a discussion with people don't make snide commonats at them in your posts. Not all big guilds are horrible, but yes some are. I know in STATIC we have a blast laughing and joking, poking fun at each other over meaningless stuff.

As for the guild issue, its just personal preferance. What I have noticed lately in MMOs is this: People in large guilds are easy targets, you see the name more and you notice the bad stuff they do more. People in smaller guilds tend to bitch that they can't do anything cause they lack the numbers. Another problem is too many people want that precious little guild leader tag, when they have no business running a guild. In the EMU and some other games, it doesn't take much to run a guild. But to be competitive its another story.

If you are in a small guild and lack the numbers, try to find another guild in the same issue and strike up a co-op for raiding, right now no content requires more than a 6man group and most of it doesn't even take that after you learn it. If you refuse to do that, well then its just your loss. Just kick back, have fun and laugh while playing.

As for the part about pissing off the big bad guilds with 5,000 members, I think its funny as hell when someone tells me "My guild will get you/destroy you!".

**EDIT** I suck at spelling simple words today :/

  5. The issue of multiboxing isnt going to change though. The main limiting factors during LIVE was competition and most computers did well to run 2 accounts. Now any computer can run 2 or 3 without much problem. Eventually, hopefully, you wont be able to multibox 2-3 toons and do raids. But even if it takes a group of 6, that'll still be just 2-3 players with 2 or 3 toons apeice.

  6. IMO, a certain amount of the best gear should be player-made. If that doesn't work, player-made should be almost as good (currently this is the case). But if every drop has the potential to be 180%, when its balanced (at 125%) to be slightly better than PM stuff, at these current levels it completely blows PM stuff out of the water.

Right now, if no item had a UNIQUE tag, players would run all 180% looted stuff forsaking other buffs for more dps/damage. But if you cap it at 125% loot-only item, that minor dps increase doesn't offset those buffs anymore. Have to find the right balance, which is never easy.

  7. Ok, just to sum it up a bit:

    1. Fishbowl is end content, therefore no one should just go in and expect to kill some mobs for just ammo.

That was set up in the beginning to have something there with all the bosses, at a time it was not possible to start a RAID as it is possible now.

    2. The 4 hours timer i have put in, because i assumed it will take some time to complete the whole RAID inclusive the Master.

And it seems, its a bit too long for some, but also many don't get it to the Master.

But, i have changed the timed RAID now in a non timed one.

Many of you know how it was in live i think, after the next content update you will have to hunt the comp for a device, build it, and hand it in

to Old Booney in Fishbowl to start the RAID. The device print you will get from Old Booney for a little fee in Cooper at the gate.

The Feather is one comp to hunt from RDs L48. They are located in Cooper and hopefully soon also back in Inverness. All other comps are normal looted / buy ones.

    3. If i have the option to lock the gate and just open it if the device is owned i will change this to that. But right now as i know we can't

lock and open a gate per mission. (as i know Tienbau is working on something like that)

Now you can tell me what you think about the change.

Until next update i can do changes if needed or wanted. Your chance to get an ear.

    greets

    Hexergirl

Sounds great to me. Only concern is since you mentioned the "key' needed to get in is a device and booney will give the print out for a price. Will it require build device to make? I hope not, since that would limit who can launch a raid there.

  8. They can do what they want, but to me it wouldnt be right to reset everything above 125% to 100%. Nor would it be right to set stuff over 125% to 125%, 125% stuff should be rare. If someone has a end-game weapon at 170% and you reset it to 100%, they are gonna be pissed and they will start camping again to replace what they "lost".

To me the sliding scale I mentioned above seems like the most fair answer to this. It will let everyone keep their current level of power in relation to the other players. IE Pre-change I have a 150% Spitter and Lann has a 180% Spitter, Post-Change mine is 110% his will be 120%. It seems like the most fair way of going about it, but it might be a headache to code lol.

  9. Although it isnt a perfect solution Kyp, I'd like to see you guys seriously consider Lot's idea of adding an npc/mission or such that would allow a 1-time (or 1time per item) increase in Quality. Something like 5% increase added to it. This would help get some of the campers off of the spawns, why bother camping to replace my 120% Spitter if I can buy that last 5% and be doing something else with my time?

You hinted at the fact you guys realize credits are no issue in the game currently. If this was implemented it could be a massive credit sink to help with that issue. Make it cost alot.

  10. Go Here and download the starship creator. After you install it, rgiht click the icon to launch the Creator and go to properties. where it says target add in this at the very end: -noclassrestrictions do not erase any of the target line, just add that part at the end.

then launch the creator and when you get to the classes screen, use the ARROW KEYS at the bottom of the creator to scroll through classes, the new ones will not have a name at the top like the old 6 classes do. but using those arrows at the bottom you can scroll around to them.

  11. What exactly is wrong with the current FB setup? Everyone's opinion on this will be different, give details.

Having extra mess from a failed raid is a bad thing? I love logging in to find someone abandoned it halfway through and booney already spawned/popped again, means I can do 2 back to back or at the same time, double the loot, without any wait. Just wish I knew who did it so I could thank them for setting it up for me.

Only change I would like to see is the previous FB, groups of 5-6 fish scattered around the sector, without bosses, put back in, while having Booney and the Raid for the bosses. To entertain us between the raids, and pressure us during the raid. Too many of us were spoiled with it as a regular sector, we miss having a small sector with nothing but tons of L56+ mobs, all within aggro distance of each other. The fish are a lot stronger now, but only getting to play with them every 4 hrs is dissapointing.

I think the biggest complaints you touched on:

Sometimes people start it and dont finish it, sometimes that bugs it and takes longer to get another try at it.

4 hours between is a little much, it wouldnt be bad if it was a personal timer. but the current version gives a 4hr cooldown for everyone.

I enjoy competing for bosses and kills, anyone that has come across me knows I like the challenge of it lol. But every boss/raid shouldn't be that way. Right now its usually the same people in Fishbowl over and over. They know the exact timer and either they are ready to go then, or they tell friends so they can be there to do it again. If you want the loot right now, you have to more or less know the timer AND bring enough people to ensure you get the kill-credit (which can bug itself and you wont even get that).

Most of the people that played E&B during LIVE have wives/kids/responsibity they didn't have back then. They should not have to log in and pray that during their 2-3 hours of playtime they might have a chance to do some end-game content. And even if they do get lucky enough for it to be available, they will have to fight tooth&nail for every mob.

Like I said for most bosses the current setup is fine, timed spawns (though I prefer a little more random timers)and you fight for it, but every mob cant be that way. You alienate the people with commitments outside the game and the smaller guilds who simply dont have the gear or manpower to battle the big guilds.

  12. server down again. but anyways. we all let feeling get in the way sometimes. God knows Ive posted some stuff in anger/aggrovation a time or two lol. I would love to help code, but I figure it requires more knowledge than I have about it.

  13. I wouldn't mind having raid keys, but it shouldnt be that easy to get lol. a nice quest that takes 6+ hours of gametime, or something that players have to figure out themselves (this is what made E&B, well E&B to me. like Vrix messages, OCD Raid, and such).

  14. I voted Leaving them as is.

    My Reason:

    Its only the stress test.

In the long run it really does not matter. Personally I dont care which way they go, Fix em or dont, It does not matter in the long run.

There is no PvP and no need to worry about "Hey he got a better item than I got!" syndrome. There is going to be an inevitable wipe when the game goes "Live" so who cares.

Eh just my take on it.

Sorry but that is just a poor view on things. If thats the case why bother fixing class skills? Items that dont work? Mobs that dont spawn? Items that are overpowered? I mean it is just gonna be wiped away later anyways, dont waste time fixing it. While the DEVs and such officially call it a StressTest it passed that up a long time ago, Most people use it for purely a play server. Nothing wrong with that, just saying most people dont even bother reporting bugs lol.

In the end it does matter, either fix it now or fix it later. Either way it will have to be fixed, along with every other issue/problem we currently have or will have down the road.

  15. I cant see them leaving the stuff in-game as is but limiting the new stuff to a much lower cap. Just doesnt make sense really. I would still like to see Lot's idea from another thread considered, a NPC that sells parts to add x% to an item. They should cost a lot. Would lessen the camping some (in addition to the timer change) and add a much needed credit sink to the game.
