  1. First let me say that I have never seen anyone guilded or not camping any spawn point and refusing to allow a player to kill a mob. maybe your problem is you like to hunt solo like me,well then you need to do it at a time when there is a low number of people on the server .

    Best time for a low number of people on the server is around 3-4am EDT,numbers are around 50-60 people. So if you really want to hunt that mob and keep all the loot for yourself that is when you should hunt. At a prime time like Friday evening,Saturday,Sunday when there is a max number of people on the server chances are real good that someone is killing your favorite mob,but that is the way it is.

    By the way I am in Builders INC and personally have never saw or seen any "nutty behavior" from Magoo ,strong opinions yes. So please,as we used to say in EVE when someone made a rant post with a noob alt account,"Can I have your stuff when you leave ???"

  2. It is simple he was a idiot,nothing of any value(certainly $1200 in game time)should be transported in anything but a cloaked ship. A ship which cannot be scanned,cannot be targeted and destroyed.He deserved to lose all,however good thing is the slime who pervade EVE got nothing.

    Before talking to the rest of the team I came up with an idea that could or could not be fun, but wanted to see what the rest of you thought about it. My idea would be a way to put so called bountys on other players. It would be like going to a job termnal, but you would put out a bounty instead. It would cost a bit to do this say around 10 mil or so. What would happen is that when you put a bounty on someone it would spawn a mob say 5 to 10 lvl's above that player and would spend the next 24 hours tracking them down. Now the player who had the bounty placed on them could get the bounty off them 1 of 2 ways. 1, kill the bounty hunter mob or 2 play hide & seek with it for the next 24 hours (Playing) time on that toon. Now only one bounty could be placed on any one toon as to not have 50 of the things chasing say Riddick around the map! lol J/K'n Riddick. I think it would be fun, but before someone says it, "Yes I know that was not in live" but what the heck. Since pvp may never be in this might be a way to take it's place. Anyway, let me know what you think. TTYL :-)

    P.S. Remember, this is a fun idea and would be a way to liven up the game a bit.

    This could and IMHO would lead to abuse if there is no penalty for the one placing the bounty,perhaps a xp debt equal to 3x the normal bountied player's level.

    Then if a player wishs to place a bounty on another player he must suffer 3x the xp debt of the player he bounties. This would ensure that players do not set a bounty without a consequence for their action.

  4. First I think we all need to remember a few things

    1)Dev and GM do not get paid to do this ,they do it because they love the game

    2)If you cannot do one thing(combat leveling,mission mobs) as many people have 2,3,4 or 5 toons ,do something else.

    3)The code is complex and detailed and since the Dev's probably have other jobs in RL to pay their bills, this game code will and should come as a secondary consideration.

  5. I don't know if this idea ahs been though of/or rejected But when I was active in Jumpgate(Classic,not the vaporware Evolution) every Friday after 8pm EST or Saturday Anytime. The GM's would come on as sentient mobs with big weapons and gobs of speed(in some cases faster than any player ship in game) and take over/occupy a sector/close a sector gate at one end then everyone on the server at that time would group up to attack them and kill as many as possible(medals were awarded for killing a GM). When these GM mob fests happened even players who hated each other (Jumpgate was open PVP after lvl 10)whould group up to defeat the common foe ,GM MObs. Just a idea ,something to liven up the game kill the same o same o nature of leveling,doing missions,trade runs,etc.
