"Patch not found" - can't login.

Recommended Posts

Hi there, first time trying to install the emulator :)

I installed the client and the Net-7 Unified Installer and ran the shortcut "Launch Net7". It did a few updates and is now letting me hit "play" to... well, play :)

But then another window appears with the Earth and Beyond graphic, and on the top it says "Downloading Patch Information" and on the bottom it says "Finding File" and then after a while I get an error message titled
Error: 4
that says

"Couldn't find the patch. Try again later."

Like this!

What am I doing wrong?

Like Kyp said, you need to change the path at the top of the launcher.
If yours looks like this it is wrong :
WRONG PATH= C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\e&b.exe"

It should point to something like this depending on where you installed it:

CORRECT PATH= C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\release\client.exe

Just launch the launcher and at the top you will see the path and the browse button next to it.
Browse to client.exe and click OK
Then launch.

At the top left side of the Net7 launcher just below the border there is a button "launcher" clicking that and selecting reset updates should solve any update issues, if you have setup everything correctly. :)

Probably not running everything as an administrator explicitly, if you have UAC enabled it likes to interfere with things editing under your Program Files directories.
