Technical question about in-game browser

Recommended Posts

Barring the need to open every ini file, and loading the rest into a Hex editor, anyone know which file selects Internet Explorer as the in-game browser? I have Firefox as system default, but it uses IE. I’d like to poke around and see if I can get FF to load instead, so to test the difference in functionality as I have found some limitations with using IE in the browser window. Where few choose to tread I guess, but thought I’d maybe save some time and ask for the file first. Thanks!

Good idea, but nope...

Unless you want to develop a new BrowserEngine(.dll) for the client you will be stuck with Microsoft's WININET features.

The URL it opens is hard-coded into client.exe (there you would need a hex-editor), it's currently set to http://www.enb-emulator.com

Without disassembling the client there is not much you could do.
