Recommended Posts

I am editing this original post with an updated corrected map as per the comments in the string which follows. This Galaxy Map is the final result of a number of maps I have done for myself to help me navigate through E&B more effectively. This version is a combination of a few maps: 1). The original E&B "Concept" Map with various sectors and planets I had never heard of before and which were never added to the game before it closed. 2). Elements of the enbmaps.de map site. 3). Elements of the enbx.com map site. All combined together in a Mega Map. You will see all the concept map sectors and planets and their proposed connections to the regular sectors we are familiar with. All sectors not currently included in the E&B Emulator as we are now playing it still have all their travel connections indicated but with dotted lines to show they aren't open yet.

I am currently working on a more correct map where all the sectors are correctly placed related to each other in reference to how E&B originally laid out the structure of the galaxy in the Prima's Guide book and which is reflected in the in-game map system connections. I want to make it as accurate as I can. I also want to include the mobs and mining types and levels per sector as well as indicate what level devices, weapons and components are available at each station of each sector. Its a massive project...so don't expect it by next week. I will have to fly to many of these areas and catalog this myself.

Happy Travels and Fly Safe!

PS) I could not load this map to photobucket because it was too big (resolution 1200). So the version posted was resized to a 200 resolution. I have a larger scale map I made that prints on two 8.5 x 11" sheets which you have to tape together. If anyone would like this version, let me know and I will make a 200 resolution copy and post the link in this string.

PPS) Please let me know if there are any mistakes or anything left out of this map, etc. I will fix ASAP and repost. Edited by drjeff

All the maps I have referenced show the Mondara Maelstrom was off of Tarsis. The emulator doesnt show either connector to the maelstroms either SE or Tarsis, so impossible to check by visiting there at this point.

LOL...your right Ryle. Two Neptunes. Lets take a poll....which Neptune should I remove? The high north Neptune or the south Neptune?

better remove the one without connection to Uranus :)

Ahh..I see the problem with Neptune. The original E&B Concept Map has Neptune coming off of Saturn. All the maps since then....and in-game in Emulator, have Neptune coming off of Uranus. That cause the double entry on my map. I will be removing the south Neptune connected to Saturn and repost this map soon.

I have created another E&B Map. This one is a vertically aligned map based on the original Earth and Beyond Galaxy Map on page 230 of the official Primus Guide for E&B. A problem I had been noticing with all the maps out there so far (mine included) was that the sector gates did not align with the direction of the zone you were gating to. For instance: If I am in Akerons Gate and want to go to Saturn, the map shows Saturn to the northwest, but the game show the Saturn Gate to the south...or if I want to go to the Aragoth gate (toward Freya), the gate in-game is to the north of me, but the map shows Freya to the south. Then I noticed in the old Prima Guide book, they show a galaxy map that is aligned more vertical with all the sectors in different positions that make all the gates in-game line up properly with the map. So, this is primarily what I wanted to do...create a map based on the original design of the galaxy by Westwood Studios themselves in how they envisioned the galaxy to look, reflected in the gate alignments in the game correctly related to the position of the galactic sectors on the Map.

So, this map is a new unique addition to the Game. Try it out.

As always....let me know if you see any mistakes or omissions and I will change them right away and repost the corrected map.
