Slayerman
Yes, and No Game/graphics dont support wide screen, so they get stretched ...

Daywolf
Irrlicht!! hah j/k, any graphics engine work would take years to implement here. Anyway, solution = make a very skinny character I have a new widescreen, I just got used to it I guess. Not so bad in space, anyway.

ghent96
Don't take it as gospel, but I am pretty sure there is/was a way to modify your resolution via an .ini file to support odd resolutions and monitor sizes.
Daywolf
There are about 1000 .ini files, but the only one I've come across with resolution settings is the EBCONFIG\results.ini file: [info] FreeTextureRam=1045430272 Device=NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS Width=1280 Height=720 BitDepth=32 Windowed=yes PeakPolyRate=7466 [Results] TextureReduction=0 FillRateFPS=65 PolyBudget=30000 LandPolyBudget=28000 LandLOD=7 StarBudget=2000 I've also tried overriding the settings with my video card CP, but the results were the same apart from needing to launch the client exe directly after Net7 was running. Laton
In the old forums someone posted the work around via changing keys in the windows registry - this allowed the game to be run in 1920x1200. could someone please repost how to do it? Laton
*Bump* there were several several separate threads in the old forums explaing what to enter as registry keys to allow for the 1920x1200 resolution - are non of these members still active? PirateLad
I just ran the "Earth & Beyond Configuration" shortcut from the Start menu (executes ../EBCONFIG/E&BConfig.exe). It allows you to setup the audio and video for the client. The video has a 1920x1200 setting for me that I chose and it seems to look fine in full screen. However, the Character and Starship Creator application still makes them look short and fat.
