Running A Test Server

Greetings,

First off all grtz on the great work on this.. Is there any tutorial on how to build my own server from scratch, i'm trying to find a nice project to learn my programming skills.. Been busy with Trinity (wow) but i want to play and develop a space project.. So if any1 can help me setting up my server mny mny thx.. :)

[/quote]you can get ancient code and database from http://sourceforge.net/projects/enbclassic, but you're on your own.

Thx for all the response its more for de quest part or are those not scripted? I downloaded the source and database compiled it but there is no docs or anything on the site.. But youre right when ya say it's not a good place to start with :blink:

But we will give it a schot... Hihihi..

[/quote]In all honesty I'd suggest starting with MUD programming. Ode to the days of ROM :D Although you may have interest in something like WheelMUD as a C# codebase which is still active. MUD is the grandfather of MMO, a good place for server programmers to intro as many of the kings of mmo development have. If you search mud connector dot com, there are a lot of space muds like star wars and such, most code bases are opensource, though most are in C. There is a book on C++ MUD programming, think it's called "MUD Programming", yeah by Ron Penton. Just some suggestions. Edited by StarbuckJD
