crowey Posted December 5, 2012 Report Share Posted December 5, 2012 ermm coming from another player although informative is still not an answer from dev gm etc that can sort it out and i have noticed online player count is now over 200 devs may be trying to sort the problem but we just dont know whats going on a few of us have been sitting on the forum for over 90 minutes and still no word as to what is happening usually when something like this happens at least one dev will comment Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Draclina Posted December 5, 2012 Report Share Posted December 5, 2012 I am not a dev for this game but here's my "speculative" based on experience. The login service appeared to go down seperatly from the net7 patch service or the game server. Anyone who switches sectors after the login server goes down gets stuck loading infinitly because a login server authetication check is not completing. After a couple minutes the login server "appered" to come back up and is allowing initial authentication from the password entry screen but the final authentication that happens each time an avatar enters a zone is not completing so the player is left on the loading screen. And I think Draclina is on to something. I spent many minutes at the "Loading Screen To Limbo" and we may have gotten a false positive on the login count. Makes a bit of sense to me anyway...
