Terran Scout Level One through Level Ten Walkthrough

-=WARNING=- Spoiler Alert -=WARNING=-

[spoiler]

Hello and Welcome fellow Hyperia Explorer. The following walkthrough will take you from the very first time you dock til you reach level Ten which is your first hull upgrade.

Step 1) Talk to Administrator Luzzinni, located to the room to your left as you first enter the main lobby area, to receive your first mission called “Scouting Your Prospects”. Along with this mission you also receive the skill to prospect. You will than have to undock for the first time into space. This is done by running back to main hall and than heading to the right to the hanger bay. After you undock and the game reloads open your map via the hotkey ‘m’ or the map icon located on the bottom left hand side of the screen. Select Rosetta Point and warp to it. Once you finish warping you’ll see a two creature mob and different style asteroids. Select an asteroid and than begin prospecting via the prospect icon, which looks like a pick axe, located above the target window. Congratulations you have mined your first of many asteroids. Now onto looking for the specific ore that your mission giver is looking for which is Crude Graphite. This is found in hydrocarbon deposits. You will also be asked to check in Cassini Point. After you find two units of Crude Graphite, return to the station and talk to Administrator Luzzinni again to receive your payment. HINT while mining be careful of what the players affectionately refer to as Pop-Rocks. If you click the prospect icon and the ores located inside the asteroid appear too good to be true 99% of the time it is too good to be true, if you try and mine any of the ore, you’ll see a pretty flash of light and your shields will be gone.

At this point the NPC’s will leave you on your own. Your free to explore the system, mine some more asteroids or practice some combat. While your flying around keep an eye out for Hulks. These contain many items which you’ll find usefully through the game. You will also gain more credits from refined ores than the unrefined or rough ores. To do this access the only terminal in the main lobby, select the ore from the list that populates, than between your inventory and the refine window will be a refine one or refine stack. Select which amount you want to refine pay the small refining price and your ores will be refined.

Step 2) At level five (5) speak with India Van Helkein-Navarre to receive your next mission “Scout Combat Training“. She will send you to speak with Don Jose De Sevilla. He will ask you to fly to Huygen’s Point and kill five (5) Corral Drones. These are the combat level zero (0) drones. After you kill five (5) of them return to Don Jose De Sevilla to receive your reward, along with the missile launcher skill. Equip the missile launcher via the equip menu accessible through your inventory. You will also have to buy a few stacks of ammo located at the vendor in the bazaar. You now have to head back out to Huygen’s Point and kill five (5) Achilles Drones. These are combat level one (1) drones. After you finish killing the five (5) drones, return to Don Jose De Sevilla for your reward.

Also at level five (5) you can go to Margesi Station located in Proxima Centuri System and speak with General Otto Hotenbaun-Bismark to begin the mission for your Afterburner Skill. He’ll give you the mission titled “Military Speed and Beyond” You will have to deliver news to India Van Helkein-Navarre at the starter station. After speaking to India Van Helkein-Navarre, she will send you back to speak with General Otto Hotenbaun-Bismark to receive your reward along with the Afterburner Skill.

At this point the NPC’s will leave you on your own. Your free to explore the system, mine some more asteroids or practice some combat.

At Level Ten (10) You will need to go speak with Executive Cailleach MacKellan on Earth station in earth sector to receive your first hull upgrade. Speak to her again and you’ll complete the upgrade. Congratulation you have completed the first ten (10) levels of the game.

As with my previous guide, I do not tell you when or how to spend your skill points, nor do I tell you what equipment you should be buying as that is personal preference depending on your style of gameplay. Also note that this guide is up to date as of the day of posting any future patches might change these steps. Edited by Dakynos

Check Newb base Guiana. Also Adriel and Margesi stations.

They are all close, but you MUST look in the Bazar/Vendor areas, not just the lounge and center room.

They will have free standing NPC's there too. ;)

Sometimes (not in this case though) a mission giver will also be a vendor in a bazaar.

That is true, another class learns one of her skills that way.
