Manufacturer: Gateway
Model: gt5622
Processor: Intel Pentium dual CPU e2160 @ 1.80ghz
Memory (Ram): 3.00 GB
System type: 32 bit operating system
..................................................................
With a empty Background Process
******************************************************************

I Started the installation process by downloading the File: eandb_demo from the Net-7 download section,
Directing it to a folder on desktop. After download had finished , i started the eandb_demo.

Installing wizard engage then disappeared.
I hear that wonderful voice ...
Preparation procedures begins and finishes.
Black E&B screen is up and installation process begins. Percentage value gets higher then stops at 29% along side is the description: Removing applications...

It just sits there at 29%
I've tried many times, restarted comp , even used mem turbo to ensure ram availability.
I've went to bed at 29% and woken up to it.

I am a computer dummy , so I'll be the first to admit I could be doing something wrong, but what that is? Don't have a clue.Assistance is greatly needed. I'm healing and was astonished to hear about E&B from friends.

I am limited as what I can do, the computer is not mine, and im stuck with it for now.

Current events. upon no replys I kept trying. And after many trys and deleting tempory files , ensuring clean and ram ready to go, i got it. I was able to continue.

After all patches and loads. i went to net 7 , to start game... With a HEADER OF:Launch net7 v. 1.99 / i see where it says the sunrise server, that it is online and with peeps on. And under that is the screen where it says : e&B sunrise ready for stress test ... and under that it says . please select server and click play....

i see no play button.. also after seeing a problem ... i went to character creater and made a character .. where there are all 9 characters available. made a character and left... it does say it was just to make characters.

Went back to net7 ... and i still see no option to start the game .... just the screen about patch updates and stuff...

I dont know how to make a print of my screen or atleast find where the file went... if a print screen will be needed, let me know how.

No hair left today. Maybe im being a dummy but i just dont see where the option to run a game is...

Help!! ..... plz Edited by HopperMantis

That sounds strange. To take a picture:

1. Press PrtScn button on your keyboard
2. Open the program Paint that should be under Accessories
3. Paste (Ctril+V)
4. save and post.

heh the play button should be above the current version but you have nothing there.

I am sorry but I have no idea how to help you :) This is way over my head :)

PS. this is a long shot, but have you tried resizing the window to see if the buttons would show up then?

Ok one mroe shot, you should be able to force the launcher to update itself again. This is done under the Launcher menu in your top left corner. You should have an option to reset your updates or similar. Try to see if that helps.

I think I know what your problem is, First question is have you placed Client.exe and Net7proxie.exe on admin mode?

If that does not work, Update your .net framework, this can cause the play/launch button to not appear.

Now if yet again this dont work, the last resort is to download this: Net7 Files

Locate and delete your Net7 files, then extract these and copy the Net7 folder to the same location.

If this dont work then a Dev will have to help you, however this has helped others to fix their issues but be forewarned it may not work. Edited by Maniac

I cant believe I did not see it before....
I looked at your net7 picture closely and noticed you have it targeting a URL.

Look closely on the top right and click browse then target this path:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\release\client.exe

This is exactly your problem all along. Edited by Maniac

SO we are still back where i began ...... no play button.

Fyi i snuck a install on a lap top just to prove to myself i wasnt being duped... worked liked a charm... even played for 30 min., so im atleast capable of doing a good install :D

Give me a current screenshot of what your launcher looks like sans its play button, I might be able to help from there. If it's still targeting the url, you can't play a url :)

Vista always has strange issues, are you right clicking the launcher and choosing "Run As Administrator"?

Also, have you tried taking the launcher screen out of maximized mode?

I have it checked as ADMIN , AND choose "Run As Administrator". And as for taking it out of maximized, just like the previous posts ill go back and forth to try and shake it loose :)

All reccomendations from previously posted replies have been done to this reinstall. I wont make a change unless you say so.
