I probably would be too, but mine asploded...

My current machine is:

3.4 GHz quad-core AMD Phenom X4 965 Black Edition Deneb CPU

Mid-range AM3 Asus motherboard

4GB G.skill Ripjaws RAM

2 80 GB Seagate Barracudas HDDs

550W Fatal1ty PSU

No GPU yet--I have a Geforce 8600 GS that may or may not still be alive; I can't test it until I get my own, DVI-capable monitor back.

Striker Extreme Mobo (rather outdated these days)

Quad core Q6600 (outdated too)

2 x Asus 8800 GTX in SLI (quite good)

X-fi Fatality (good too)

4 GB Kingston (could be faster)

2 74 Mb Raptors in RAID-0 (outdated too, but still fast as lightning)

Zalmann heatpiped 1000W supply (she rocks)

1 Terabyte WD (one of a zillion)

Coolance watercooling (still does the trick)

Fully Transparent casing

Relatively current.

Oh I played with a 1ghz amd and ati 9000 agp. Now I run a slightly outdated 64bit 3200+ with a 512MB VRAM Radeon 8400 pci-e. Wont run the latest shooters unless I drop in a faster CPU, but it runs like Oblivion at 100% though with that costly animated grass off. Runs all the games I want to play and does very well with my 3D graphics apps like trueSpace etc. I would have already gotten something newer, but no thanks to the economy and job market. Cant get a politician that is job friendly :) Well, maybe they'll start an entitlement program for handing out new computers meh

One of each. Have a new PC I bought about a year ago, that I primarily play on, but I also still have my old PC from EnB Live (got it in 04 after my previous PC broke), and use it for whenever I want to use my Mule char to do transfers.

but I also found (a few days ago actually) my old laptop that I used to play E&B on business trips, sadly it seems to have died sometime over the last ~4 yrs.

I think if I hadn't turned my 2002 machine on to play enb, it'd be dead by now. Also had this happen with a '98 machine. Worked fine when I shut it off and was dying when I turned it on to tornado the files over to my 2002 machine. And that was when I got this one in 2007.

I'll be turning my 2002 on more often now that I get the feeling they die of loneliness.

Update :

Yesterday I posted my stats, only to find my computer dead as a whistle today.

Either the PSU or Mobo gave up. (fans spin for 1 sec, then she dies)

Tomorrow to the shop hoping to get the PSU checked and buy a replacement.

If mobo failed I am doomed. New mobo = new CPU = new mem = new water cooler.

I could get a 775 replacement, but heck, I better do things good.

I've been lurking at an i7 and a P55 Gigabyte. Affordable, but still not bad.

Speaking as someone who's had terrible luck with PSUs, your problem doesn't sound like PSU... generally when those die they die hard and nothing will so much as twitch. I could be wrong though. But it could be mobo, RAM, or CPU... and if it was any one of these, the others could possibly be salvaged.

To stay off topic and get on again :

Yeah, chances are slim it will be the PSU. I hope it is tho, lol.

So now I grabbed my old Toshiba satellite laptop to run E&B.

Guess what, she runs ! Speaking of ancient hehe.

However, wish me luck tomorrow. Especially wish my bankaccount luck :P

Ughh, turned out the PSU failed. Not bad you'd say. But... it decided to take the mobo with it when it died.

*ZAPP* all dead.

So, bought today the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 and an i7 920.

4Gb of fresh corsair ram at 2000.

New Corsair 1000W PSU.

Shame I lost all data on the RAID-0 because of the other controller. Lucky for me I store data on a separate drive.

XP sp3 (Jarod is absolutely right!) is installing as we speak. After antiviral and primary software, E&B will be the 1st thing I slap on this sucker ;)

Toaster oven. I use a 400w and would like to see better efficiency to run under 200w in the future. Weeee earthquake... anyhoot... seems like better development of newer systems would be shooting for not only performance but low power consumption as well.
